My kids like the pizza here. Ordered dinner today. Had a grub hub credit so went ahead and claimed it here. Pizza kind of reminds me of when I was 16 years old working at Pizza Man I'm Compton. Except it seems to be lacking flavor. Not sure what it is. Maybe they skimp on sauce or something. Can't figure it out. Ordered an XL PEPPERONI AND SAUSAGE. And snd 8 piece fried chicken which is supposed to come with potato wedges and salad. They told me they had ran out of chicken and they could replace the Chicken with strips. The lady said the strips were big about the same amount. Well 2 pieces were a little bigger but the rest were like the size of my thumb. LOL It's an OK spot. It's decent. The customer service has a good. 1 star more for customer service. Pizza is average. Lacking flavor. Maybe more sauce. Something. Chicken strips also average. Potato wedges also average. Salad was good. We mean how can you mess that up. Overall, would try more items and give them a few more shots at it.

I'm so disappointed. It came and got me a pastrami pizza, and this is what I got. Where is the pastrami. I got a whole lot of mustard, but where is the pastrami. I was so mad, and I told the guy, and he said that's how we make it. Never again. Pizza company for sure next time.

Pizza Time is such a hidden gem! It's a family owned business that really brings their 100! It's the perfect place to grab some pizza and a beer. They have 805 and several other beers on tap. You can even order a Michelada. The pizza is made fresh and is full of flavor! They also have several other items such as calzones, chicken wings, potato wedges, spaghetti, and fresh breadsticks on their menu. Since the restaurant is family owned, they know how to run a family friendly restaurant. You can bring your kids and they're going to love it. The inside of the restaurant is super clean and has the coolest Insta-friendly wallpaper all around the store. If you're looking for a cute local pizza spot, this is it!

The calzone was soft stuffed with ricotta y mozzarella cheese that melts in you mouth. The flavorful pepperoni and crunch of jalapeño spice is a great combo. $6.99 and I only ate half and took the other half for later. This is a family owned restaurant and their son Eric is a beautiful pianist who plays all the classics while you eat. When back in the area I will be stopping by for my Calzone lunch special.

Ok, late post. Last weekend we had Pizza Time for dinner. New owners (a super friendly family), same great food. They took it over a year ago. Ordered 2 Family meals. Comes with 2 topping large pizza, fried chicken & potato wedges or spaghetti & lasagna, salad, and bread sticks. A LOT OF FOOD. Help our small local businesses.

Came across this pizza restaurant driving home and decided to give it a shot. So I hopped on the slice app and put my order in. I was impressed by the quality of their food. The pizza and cheese bread were cooked to perfection. The pizza with a crispy crust and delicious toppings and the cheese bread with the excellent cheese pull were great. The only downside were the wings(not pictured)that I ordered didnt have any buffalo sauce on them but the quality of the food made up for it. The service was great. My food arrived before the scheduled delivery time. Overall, I would definitely recommend this restaurant for a tasty and enjoyable pizza dining experience.

Pizza Time is terrific! They have the best pizza. I tried there meat pizza and was blown away. Very tasty and affordable to boot. I also tried there fries they have steak fries, they were wonderful. I will definitely visit them again and totally recommend Pizza Time. I forgot to take pics of the food, but I did get a pic of there Covid skeleton. read more

Nice little pizza bar. The wings are definitely the best item here, aswell as the pizza. The staff is really chill, while at the same time working hard to become recognized in Downey, which they definitely deserves. So if youre around Downey and lookin' for wings, beer, and obviously pizza, highly recommend going here. They also do delivery, which is a plus. :) read more

I've driven been passed this place for years. But you know when you just know you'll like a place. I got a large pastrami and a 2 liter coke. Specialty's we're a little pricey. The dough is amassing and they use that old school pizza cheese. They were a little light on the pastrami. I had a coupon from Grubhub or I probably wouldn't of ordered. Too many fees on Grubhub. They close to early. God that pizza is good tho. read more

Only place in LA whose product I enjoy. I'm from NYC, lived in Chicago & been lots of places. This is as close to NYC as it gets in this area. I always buy their pizzas, chicken for the kids & samplers have a little bit of everything. Great idea for some movie time at home. They've upgraded the interior of their place & it's real nice. Small cozy place serving up good pizza wings and bbq ribs and draft beers. I came with my sons and felt right at home. Family operated but they using good meats and dough your kids will love. they even have a $1 beer happy hour worth checking out. read more

The best pizza I've eaten hands down. Take my word that the pizza is delicious. I can't speak highly enough about this little hole in the wall. It's the best of the best in home-style. In addition to their pizza, I would also recommend the bread sticks and the submarines. It is ONLY take out, so it's good if you're looking to have pizza and a movie at home, but bad if you're looking to go out. Update September 21, 2014: haters gonna hate. read more

This place is excellent for your buck and for a family of 4 to have a great tasting hearty meal. Pizza Time offers a family special that you can't beat; you get pizza, lasagna, salad, and 'pass-getti' (as my kids say it, lol) and two drink for a price so low you'd think your robbing the place! The staff is courteous and the place is clean; too bad the establishment doesn't have a sit down area. The other dish that I got hooked on is their vegetarian Calzone! OMG! It is cheesy, and I don't know what they do to season those veggies but they sure as heck got me and my family hooked! Give them a try, I know you won't regret it! read more

Delicious Pizza! I drive past this place a ridiculous number of times a week, to have not stopped in until today. I will never pass it again. I walked in after yelping for pizza in the area and a small pepperoni only took 10 min. The guy taking orders was nice n let me take my time going over menu. The pizza was super yumlicious, cheesy, lots of pepperoni, the crust was thin and good enough to eat alone. The price was ver reasonable and they accept debit. We will be back to try other items on the menu. Definitely worth giving a shot. read more

I love their wings!! Been on the hunt for wings that I like and definitely the place for that. Good size and good sauce plus great price to match the amount I bought. I asked for extra sauce and it was perfect. The girl working the cashier was really nice. I also ordered through Postmates once and included the spaghetti which was really good. The cheese was good and the spaghetti noodles were thick which was new for me but also the meatballs were just as good all together. Oh I've also tried the pizza two separate times. Very good and fluffy I loved it the first time. But the second time the cheese was really really runny and everything was falling off we tried to see if they can fix it but no luck so idk. Maybe a one time problem with a different chef but all in all so far I love the things I have tried here read more

Amazing food along with great personal service. Brought my daughter to this small place while traveling through Downey and was blown away by the pizza and wings. Was greeted by who I later found out were the owners and appreciated the Personalized customer service from both of them. Can't beat a place that treats their customers like Family and provides a great Product. I live about 10 miles away but will travel for a good customer experience and those Pizza and Wings! The food was good but unfortunately during these times I felt uncomfortable picking up my food here. The cook was not wearing his mask at first and he most likely noticed how I seemed shocked and then put it in. A party of about 4-5 came in and were seated indoors (I thought no indoor dining was allowed) and not a single person was wearing a mask. I am giving three stars because the food was good as mentioned, but I was disappointed that they were not enforcing covid19 guidelines. read more

Love the pizza here, I normally go for the managers special which you can chose it as being cheese or pepperoni, only thing I would probably ask them is to be a bit more generous with the pepperoni, so that at least there is good coverage, sometimes some slices may not have any pepperoni on them at all, aside from that small hiccup, they have very good pizza and chicken wings. read more

Wow!! Under new ownership, My wife and I stopped by to try their pizza. It was awesome! We sat at the bar and had a cold beer with our pizza. The staff was very nice and attentive. Oh boy!! Stopped by with my wife and granddaughter. We ordered some chicken wings and a small pizza. The staff was very nice and attentive, they all wore their masks and gloves. The wings were to die for!! The pizza was delicious with generous toppings. The cook even came out to make sure everything was fine. We will be back and I recommend Pizza Time, next time we'll try their lasagna, it looked really good. read more

I ordered via Grubhub and it stated it would come between 20-30min. I waited until the last minute my order was cancelled. I'm pregnant and I was waiting for my food. Nothing came and I had to order from somewhere else. The food looked good but service sucks. And then it stated the place was closed at 1pm ? I did get my money back but I wanted the food I paid $27 free delivery just for food !!!! read more

We've been getting pizza here for years! I don't even know what to say other than that the owner should stick to makimg the food which is absolutely delicious and not answer the phone because he is super rude. His wife is super nice and always attentive, cool to chat with. But he makes me feel so unwelcome when I go there and very uncomfortable when I call and he answers. As if I am bothering him or wasting his time. So if you can avoid the owner, I highly recommend this place for pizza. It is the best around! read more

Ordered on grub hub app and was pretty disappointed. Ordered a medium cheese pizza (11.99) added a few toppings which brought my price up to 17.99. When the pizza got here it was just cheese...guess those extra few dollars are a donation? I ordered a salad which the lettuce tasted sour/old. The cheese pizza was good but not worth 17.99. The salad was terrible. I ordered a cheesecake slice that was pretty unexciting as well. All in all I don't hate the place but it won't be my 1st choice when ordering next time. read more

I tried this place out today, I have to say i'm pretty disappointed. The 2 fellas inside were pretty disassociative and the order taker didn't seem too friendly either as he took my order. I ordered a flat bread pepperoni and steak calzone, well the calzone was sadly very soggy and flavorless and the pizza was not that great either. The others that tried this didn't like them either, so we ended up tossing it away and ordering dominos. I usually like trying these hole in the wall places, but this one is one I won't be returning too. Oh well, you live and learn. read more

Probably one of the worst services I've had. Rude service. The guys at the front have bad attitudes which leads it to being a bad experience overall at that place. It's even worse when speaking on the phone. Would not recommend this place. You're better off going somewhere else then dealing with those sorry excuse of "workers". Employees represent the brand so that shows us what type of place this is. Stay Away! read more

Came to this place to try it out. I do not recommend this place to anyone. My wife and I walked in and the guy taking our order was rude. When we were sitting down waiting for our food we noticed a roach on the floor. Needless to say we asked for our money back and left! Plenty of other places in downey to get pizza from. I will not be returning to this establishment anytime time again. read more

So when, tasked with finding a suitable place for our quarterly lunch meeting, I entered "Jewish deli" and "Downey" into Yelp, half expecting to find the lackluster lineup of national chains that PURPORT to make good sandwiches- Subway, Joysie Mike's, Jimmy John's and the usual suspects of sandwich sorriness! Imagine then, fellow Yelpers, when Uncle Henry's Deli appeared...as welcome a sight as my gorgeous bikini-clad wifey. Both Mick and I, who first bonded over our shared love of the national pastime, immediately likened Henry's with the MLB legend who shares my birthday- Henry Louis Aaron, aka Hamnerin' Hank and the REAL all-time home run leader, Barry Bonds and his oversized gourd, er, head be damned. In his 22yr career, Aaron belied his average size (5ft 11 tall, 185 lbs) and deployed his missile-fast wrists to smack 755 homers. All while playing in Jim Crow era Atlanta. Uncle Henry's Deli, similarly, defies expectations. Who would think of putting a Jewish-style delicatessen in Downey, famous for birthing the honey-voiced Carpenters and the self-styled "Mexican Beverly Hills?!" Mick ordered a super sized Original, which is turkey, roast beef + ham plus cheddar on white. He went with potato wedges which are sizable. Me? I chose one hot, one cold. A super sized Big B (Pastrami, Bacon + Swiss on toasted sourdough, hold the pickles) and an Egg Salad on enviably well made squaw bread, hold the tomatoes. Pro Tip- From a lifetime of ordering well made sandos in every major city in America, never put tomatoes on a cold sandwich unless you want the notoriously water-dense fruit to dampen your sandwich! The only mild drawback of my food order was the side of potato salad, which in my opinion would benefit from some black pepper and minced celery. The service at Henry's is expedient- You've barely helped yourself to one of their dark wood benches when they've called your order! But you'll enjoy the treat, cuz the caliber of food is very bit as real as the hammer (aka Louisville Slugger) that Hamnering Hank used to bash all of his home runs with.

Yesterday I got the (family deal) which included a large pizza w/ 2 toppings your choice of 2 pastas, 2salads, 2garlic breads n 2 drinks for only 26.99 wowwwww I couldn't believe it :D I felt like I was ripping them off. Everything was DELICIOUS... What else can I say that hasn't already been mentioned, the place is spotless & the service is great....another thing I don't think this place deserves 3* it has everything to be a 5* restaurant the food, service, the A (health code)..... (Sometimes people come in with an attitude and then they write a bad review :(..... Like yesterday a "lady"came in while I was waiting for my order and she had a lousy attitude the gentlemen who approached her keep his coolness, I give him a lot of proves I don't think I could have handle it that well. This place has good food that is true but going in to order is like taking a trip through the gang related side of town. The employee at the cash register who is increasingly adding tattoos on himself is quiet intimidating and appears to want a confrontation from all who visit. It is a scary place to visit unless you feel like getting into a bad situation. I decided to make phone orders as opposed to going in and the same person answered the phone and was making me repeat myself and feigning that he could not understand my order. I guess that he is the owner or the owners son who has no fear of being fired. If were not for this individual I would bet that this place would get some very good business. P.s. It's started before I could even get any flavors in my mouth just by looking at this pizza, it had melting cheese with generously toppings. From the first bite of that soft pizza dough, I bit into a whole other level.haven't had any thing better than this.
