Found this place randomly... we drive through this area and stop at other places in the area often but never knew this place was hiding around the corner. We ran in at 7:45 and they were just getting ready to close at 8. I hate being that gal... but we were craving pizza AND we made sure they were ok with us ordering to go! The staff was very nice, very accommodating and assured us that they did not mind making us food! The pizza is fantastic! I usually don't like bbq pizza, but definitely stole a slice of my boyfriend's. The pepperoni is my jam! Slightly crispy pepperoni, just the right amount of sauce and delicious crust! The staff was super helpful with helping me make sure that everything in my pizza was safe-- including catching that one of the ingredients we all thought would have for sure was safe had one of my allergens in it! Love this place. We eat pizza here whenever we are in town. This time we got a large and did half and half. Half of the pesto primavera and the other half of the large the loaded. So delicious, very generous with the toppings beautifully presented as always. This place never disappoints. And the staff is so friendly the restaurants and restrooms are very clean. Game two of The World Series finds me heading to Chumash Casino to emcee The Wheel of Winners. Last week, while eating some Chumash pizza (which is exceptional by the way), one of the casino guests asked me how "it was"... I said "great". He said Have you tried "Pizza Shack"? I said "nope, where's that"? Turns out it's across the street from the casino. So, I popped in on my may to work, I ordered up a personal cheese pizza and an apple & Gorgonzola salad. The salad is fresh, cold, crisp, and delicious. The honey vinaigrette dressing is on point and I like that they serve it on the side. The Granny Smith apples are paper thin and perfect. The walnuts are a bit sweet at first but plentiful and they offset the saltiness of the gorgonzola cheese perfectly. My only critique on the salad is; the plate is a bit small. The portion is perfect but it's tricky eating this salad without spilling goodness off of the plate. Other than that, perfect! As for the pizza, I should point out that I'm a grown man but very often, especially at a new place, I like to try a simple cheese pizza. In fact, all pizzerias can be judged very easily by their most simple dishes. This pizza is good. The crust is very unique. One slice down and I'm trying to decide what my opinion of it is. It's kinda "bready"... not "doughy" but kinda flat like a pita. It's not bad really. The flavor is good and the edges are crispy. I have most definitely had worse. If fact a different sized pie may be come out better. This is a personal pizza and it's on a plate and, without breathing like it would in a pizza pan, it has steamed itself and taken the crispness away from the bottom of the pie. Good pizza, decent wings. It's a nice small town pizza place and they are always friendly. A little pricey but worth it.

Love their chicken club sammich. In fact all their sammiches are served on these amazing french baguettes. The salads are huge and the gorgonzola chicken with candied walnuts is rich but hearty. Pizza is good too, I'm not a big fan of thicker crusts, which seems to be the component for their dough. If you prefer that thicker, chewy crust, go for it. For myself, I prefer thin, crispy flatbread crusts. It took me a a minute to figure out how service worked. You order at the register first and pay, then seat yourself, and they bring everything else. Soft drinks are self served and bottomless. This is a perfect place to bring the family after the weekend activities... Lunch is my go to time. This place seems popular for takeout. read more

the worst pizza I have ever bought. we picked up took home and opened. sat down with nice cold beer and dove in. crust was cooked ok but zero flavor. could have been wonder bread toast. I am assuming that they ran out of sauce. after all it was Friday night at 5:00. not much cheese and absolutely no oil on at all. I don't like a lot of oil but some is necessary. I ran a pizzeria in nj and know what should taste like. I also know that there are many styles and likes. Also. $22.00 plus for a plain pie is overboard. especially with it being the driest,no sauce , with no flavor. I will never go back. try somewhere else. still have seven slices. Called to place an order at 5 for pick up for 5 large pizzas. Told me they were too busy to fill order and that they would put me on hold to check with manager. Say on phone for 5 minutes called them back to voicemail with no room to leave a voicemail. If doesn't seem like they want business. Gino's in Buellton has better service and frankly better pizza. Don't waste your time with this place! It's employees don't seem to care enough to get any order right. Every time i have ordered out from here I never know if I am going to get a good meal or some greasy pizza, a charred meatball sub, or a flavorless pasta. It's kind of hard to completely mess up a salad, so I'll give them that at least. I am life long local of SYV and when this place first opened and for a couple of years it was pretty good. I was even impressed at times by some seasonal specials they have had. Bottom line, don't order out from this place. I had a hard time finding this place since they did not have a sign up. I believe they just got done with some remodeling. I ordered the lunch special of salad and personal pizza. Perfect dinner for a cold night of camping! We saw the name in the GPS and decided to head into Solvang for some pizza because the name wasn't too appetizing to us, but once we saw the building we made a u-turn and boy were we glad we went back! We ordered an antipasto and a medium pizza. We thought the medium might not be enough but in the end we couldn't even finish it. The total for two came out to about $30- after tip. We ordered 3/4 carnivore pizza and 1/4 pesto something which had feta cheese, black olives and a lot of very delicious sun dried tomatoes. The carnivore was also very good and had several kinds of meat baked with layers of cheese- yum! *also kudos for using real mozzarella! read more

"You learn something new everyday" is a saying that everyone has heard one time in their life. Well this past Sunday morning when I was camping I learned that raccoons and skunks absolutely love pizza for breakfast. I know your asking yourselves "who orders pizza while camping?" Well to make a long story short I was at the campground with my family (there were 12 of us) when some friends of ours who live around the area all decided to come up to our campsite for dinner. After they all showed up there ended up being 21 of us. Everyone started drinking and it became obvious that nobody was going to be coordinated enough to BBQ for that many people. One of our friends who lives in the area suggested we order a bunch of pizzas from the Pizza Shack because they would deliver to the campgrounds. We ended up ordering about 10 different types of large pizzas. It only took about 30 minutes for our pizzas to get to our camp site. These are some of the pizzas we tried. Hawaiian, BBQ chicken, alfredo sausage, spicy meat, teriyaki chicken, pesto primavera (vegetarian pizza), and just the normal pepperoni, sausage, and cheese. Even though I'm a huge carnivore I thought that the pesto pizza was by far the best. All the other pizzas were also very good. I thought that most of the different sauces they use taste great. The alfredo was thick and creamy and the BBQ sauce was perfectly sweet and smokey. The teriyaki sauce was a little too sweet for my taste and I also thought they put way too many onions on this pizza. I think Pizza Shack is a whole lot better then Domino's or Pizza Hut. It turned out that we ordered a little too much pizza. At the end of the night we had about two full pizzas left and everybody was too wasted to clean up the mess so we decided to leave the cleaning till morning. Every night while we were camping our site was raided by raccoons and skunks but on this particular night it seemed that every critter in the forest was partying at our site. I was actually awakened by all the commotion that was going on outside my tent. When we all woke up in the morning we were greeted by hundreds of animal footprints, trash all over the place, and animal feces. The one thing we did not find however was any traces of the left over pizza. Even the pieces of crust that the kids didn't finish were fished out the trash bag. It's funny because the animals only took the pizza, they left behind all the other food that was left out. read more
