Big parking lot! Inside, very large. A market and really great food to go. (We ordered sandwiches and went to sunstone winery around the corner. ). You write on the paper and just leave it on the counter. Took about 20+ mins to prepare , maybe because the Rueben takes much longer ??? Busy place. Sandwiches were exceptional, not just great ! If camping at lake chacuma or going to a winery - an excellent option. Restroom was in the back , follow the yellow line on the ground, lol. Basically in the warehouse area. Strange , but that's fine.

Stopped here on our way into downtown Solvang. Hot and cold foods available plus a juice/coffee bar all in a supermarket. I loved it! The food was good and lots of choices that are not really available back home. Lots of great beer and wine choices. I will definitely be back.

Fantastic supermarket and deli/hot food bar This supermarket on the edge of Solvang is marvelous!! The fresh produce is amazing and we loved the hot food bar! We ordered chile relleno, baby back ribs, tri-tip and spinach and artichoke casserole from the hot food bar. The food was tasty, well prepared and didn't have that bulk-cooked, processed flavour. It was also significantly cheaper than eating out in expensive Solvang. This is a terrific option if you are eating in Solvang on a budget!

The freshest and most diverse meats.

Great market. Stayed for few days and got marinated carne asada and marinated chicken and was awesome. A little pricey but worth it.

Stopped by Peasant's Deli and ordered the Tuna Sando and the Kobe Sando…read more The Tuna Sando immediately jumped into my top three tuna sandwiches I've had. It was loaded with flavor from the Conservas Ortiz white tuna, boquerones, piquillo peppers, egg, arugula, and tonnato sauce. Honestly, I took one bite and completely forgot to take a proper picture. That's usually a good sign. We also tried the Kobe Sando, which was very tasty as well. The bread was a little firmer than I personally prefer, but it still worked well with the sandwich and didn't take away from the overall experience. We sat outside along the side of the restaurant and really enjoyed the seating area. Inside, the deli is just as interesting. They have displays of aged meats and a walk-in room arcade that feels like a hidden gem. It's a unique touch that adds a lot of character to the space. What really stood out was the staff. Everyone we interacted with was genuinely friendly and welcoming, making the experience even better. Great food, great atmosphere, and great hospitality. Can't wait to come back and work my way through more of the menu.

In Solvang this past weekend for the Danish Days Festival. At one point, needed food. Needed lunch…read more And my friend and I ended up at Panino. We wanted something fast and light. For the festival, streets were shut down but you'll typically find parking on the street, or in the nearby lots. Nice thing is that they're free too. At least the ones I've parked at. Panino isn't a full service restaurant. Order at the counter and wait for your order to be brought to your table, or for your name to be called if it's to go. Your order includes your drinks up front so if you want something else, get back in line and order again. Inside the shop, there's seating for about five/six people. Most were sitting outside. Your order is brought to you outside too if you're wondering. I ordered me a Half/Half. Half sandwich (Italian) and a half salad (Caprese) See pics. I enjoyed the salad. I was craving it so it hit the spot. The mozzarella cheese and fresh greens. The sandwich, I liked, but didn't love. It wasn't about the ingredients (even the green peppers which I've never seen on an Italian nor leaves of lettuce as opposed to them being shredded). If the dressing were more tangy, I wouldn't say I'd love it but at least crush on it a little so for me, Panino's version was ok. I wouldn't order it again knowing what I know but if someone shared a half with me, I wouldn't turn it down. Anyway, there's a long list of sandwiches on the menu. I'd definitely try other items on the list as well as checking out their other locations.

The check-in process was a breeze; we simply shared our party size and dining preferences. Before we knew it, we were seated in about 15 to 20 minutes. Now, let me tell you about the atmosphere. Inside, it was quite lively and a bit loud, so we opted for a charming outdoor seating area that felt much more relaxed. I couldn't help but notice how the staff, dressed in traditional Danish attire, radiated warmth and friendliness while being impressively efficient. For my meal, I went with a Danish pancake accompanied by Danish-style sausage--absolutely divine! I also swapped my eggs for hashbrowns, and wow, these have to be the best hashbrowns I've had in years. My child chose a waffle topped with fluffy whipped cream and a glass of orange juice, which she raved about, claiming it tasted like fresh-squeezed goodness. The portions were more than generous, and the prices were surprisingly reasonable. All in all, it was a delightful brunch experience that I'd gladly recommend!

Always an exceptional breakfast at Paula's. We are a large group (9) so we always have a long wait,…read moreespecially since we only go on Sunday mornings. The staff is very accommodating and gets us in as quickly as possible. It should be noted that at particularly busy times they will stop taking names for parties for an hour to an hour and a half until they get caught up. The staff members are engaging and efficient. It's difficult to recommend a specific dish because everything is good. On this particular occasion, the eggs in my eggs Benedict were over poached, but honestly out of a half dozen breakfasts, this is the only hiccup I've ever experienced. The buttermilk pancakes are very good, but if you've never tried them before, I recommend giving the Danish pancakes, a try; they're very flavorful. You can add fruit to them, typically cinnamon apples are enjoyed by my family, but you can also have them just with butter and syrup.

This is my second visit here, and I am remiss in not having reviewed my first visit - but, ""s for…read moreeach visit! This place is non-descript yet just off the main park downtown, and an easy walk from most of the major hotels in town, or the central parking lot - plus lots of street parking as well. It seems rather small, with one area for bar seating and small tables, plus a larger dining area "next door" to the bar, but I like the bar ambiance, so it may be challenging on busy tourist days. Luckily, I travel on non-busy days and have always had a good seat. The ambiance is great, with a typical, colorfully decorated pub feel with TVs offering an invitation to relax and have a pint - or two! The menu is varied, and I had planned for what I wanted, but when the server/bartender/boss offered the daily special as an option, I quickly jumped at the chance. The special was a queso dip with house-made chips, and I had to try it! Sadly, I also ordered my usual, the Cobb salad. Sadly, because after the "appetizer" arrived, I quickly realized the full consequences of the saying "your eyes are bigger than your stomach!" The dip and chips were plentiful in both, and for me would have made a great meal on their own. But I was committed and managed to finish the salad. On my previous visit, I had the mac 'n cheese and the Cobb salad, along with a Guinness dark! That was sooo tasty as well! The food at this visit was great, and the service was as well. Sam, who is the owner, bartender, server, and jack-of-all-trades, is always friendly, professional, and efficient, no matter how busy it is, and this visit was the only one outside the kitchen. If you're in the area, give them a try! And leave room for dessert - I have yet to do that, but you can learn from my mistakes!

Fitzpatrick's Tavern absolutely delivered…read more We went all in on the food, and everything came out spot on. The spicy wings had great flavor--more on the spicy side than "hot," which honestly made them even better and more enjoyable. The Reuben with onion rings was done right--classic, satisfying, and the onion rings were perfectly cooked with a great crisp. The bread on the sandwich had the perfect crisp as well, which really brought it all together. And the standout was the spicy melt burger. My friend ordered it medium rare, and it came out perfectly medium rare--juicy, flavorful, and cooked exactly as requested (which doesn't always happen, so that's worth noting). Everything was executed really well, and you can tell they take pride in the kitchen. Easy 5 stars. Would definitely come back.
