Thin crust just the way I like it; delicious. I've tried every place in town and this is my favorite. Friendly people, plenty of parking.

Finally got to try this place out after my friend told me about years ago…read more They don't have any pizza pies on display but they do serve slices. I got the Hot honey heaven slice which consists of tomato base, pepperoni, crispy chicken, ricotta and Mike's hot honey, really good. Parking is limited. First off, I did a call-in order (very 2000s, I know). I could tell the business was very busy, but I was so surprised that despite being surrounded by the "crazy" she was doing her best to suggest what she liked and then after speaking a bit, what I might like. She was very helpful and considerate despite me calling during the "lunch rush". I came into the business --- small but efficient space --- and it was a quick transaction. My kind of place. As I was eating for 1, I didn't want to be a true "big-back", new year, new resolutions. I just got a 10' Neo Margherita Pizza + Parmesan Peppercorn Bone-In Wings. So the thing that makes Grumpy's stand-out and different from the competition? Boy oh boy, that crust. It is sourdough, it is crisp, it is light, it is so complimentary to anything that goes on it. I truly understand the hype about their pizzas --- and I truly can't wait to try more from their establishment. On to the wings; I ordered the Parmesan Peppercorn Bone-In Wings, simply because it's a flavor I don't see too regularly on the menus. It was exquisite; I could only imagine how much better it would've tasted fresh from the fryer. I had a 15 minutes drive until I had eaten the food. So the food-fluencers are not lying about this place. Check 'em out --- an awesome business ran by awesome people.

They call the Grandma MVP pie, MVP for a reason -- the marinara, vodka, and pesto, all homemade, was layered to perfection. The crust has a crispy edge and soft center and is baked so nicely. Think you've had fried ravioli before? Lucca's is fried, golden goodness with a creamy center that will have you begging for more. I loved their vodka rigatoni. Lucca's is made with homemade sauce that's rich, creamy, and unforgettable. You need to try their new panuozzo sandwiches. This is not your average sandwich. Made with their own crisp pizza dough, this comes fully loaded with fresh ingredients, stuffed with Italian flavor. Super kind and attentive staff. Casual dining environment but clean and lots of seating for a pizzeria! Hidden kitchen. Unforgettable food. That's the Lucca way!

THE GOOD ----------------…read more+ Pizza and food in general are delicious!!! ++++ Polpette (meatballs in marinara) were amazing. Lots of marinara and came out piping hot and there were 6 in total. ++++ Gamberi (shrimp, garlic, breadcrumbs, lemon) was also fantastic. The shrimp were buried underneath a layer of baked breadcrumbs and the garlicky flavor of the appetizer was soooo good. ++++ Regina Margherita was an EXCELLENT artisan-style pizza. Pizza was super fresh and hot when it came out. It was slightly bigger than a personal pie and delicious, however, it was a bit floppy in that the dough gave out to the heaviness of the cheese. The only difference between this and the regular Margherita is the cherry tomatoes - feel free to skip the tomatoes. ++++ Capricciosa (basically a Margherita pizza, but with mushrooms, artichoke, olives and prosciutto) - Once again, excellent, excellent pizza. It was a little bit top heavy in that there were so many ingredients on it, which made it extra floppy. Would have preferred the dough to be a bit sturdier to support the cheese and toppings. + Service was 10/10! All of the employees were friendly including the manager, who took the order of every table! Food arrived fast and empty plates were removed fairly quickly. THE NOT SO GOOD ---------------------------- - Spacing, spacing, spacing. Restaurant was VERY tight. To get in and out of the inside seats of the tables, the tables had to be moved out so room could be made to walk in and out. MIXED THOUGHTS --------------------------- = Nada. RANDOM OBSERVATIONS -------------------------------------- = No reservations are taken and you must arrive in person to put your name down for a table. = Was crowded on a Friday evening right after opening for dinner at 5 PM. If you're not present when the doors open, you'll miss the 1st dinner seating and have to wait about 1 hour for the 2nd dinner seating.
