This place is better than the reviews indicate. Is it great pizza?- ok, no. But the fried chicken is pretty darn good. Has a certain fried but light crunch coating. It seasoned well. And the chicken is always cooked great....plenty of good moist meat....even on a white meat breast. Their sides aren't too bad...for the ones I tried. Very well stocked with a variety of options in addition to standard salad fixings including macaroni salad, potato wedges, and Saratoga chips. We took a team here after calling ahead to let them know. The employees were super nice but they had very little food on the buffet. So the boys had to wait for more food all the time. They were irritated that we asked for pizzas, they weren't even busy!!! Springfield's answer to the trashpit of Cici's that was our only pizza buffet since Pizza Inn shut down...and I like it. It's at the mall, but it's an outside entrance so you don't deal with the mall crowd. They are still new and it's pretty obvious that everyone is still learning. A little patience will do you well here. There is pizza. There is also pretty dope fried chicken with all the sides, a salad bar, soup, and ice cream. The dining room seems very large for a buffet that has less than ten pizzas at all time, so there will be a lot of people clustered around the fresh pizzas (and little kids clustering around the dessert pizza and making all the toppings fall off). It would be nice if the pizzas were labeled on the buffet somehow. You have no idea what you are getting with most of them. You can just see red sauce or white sauce (is it cheese? is it chicken alfredo? is it cheesesticks sliced like a pizza to fool you? I've had all three). You can order whatever pizza you'd like on whatever crust you'd like, but they don't explain the process. There is a little monitor at the start of the buffet and a sticker on the sneezeguard that lists the calorie count--pick your pizza from there. They definitely don't serve those pizzas on the buffet so you won't know they exist (looking at you, breakfast pizza...mac and cheese pizza...pretzel crust anything). The employee at the monitor will fumble with the order, call someone over to help, and you'll finally get a buzzer to take back to your table. When it buzzes, go back to where you ordered...maybe bring a plate, or maybe they will have one up there for you so you're stuck with a second plate. The staff is also very nice--if not TOO nice, where they ask to take your plate when you are eating off of it and have your mouth full. I've literally had to put my piece of pizza on a napkin so they could take my plate--I'm hoping that's an adjustment/experience issue, but you can't fault someone for being overly ambitious at their job. read more

I was skeptical when someone recommended a pizza buffet for fried chicken, but we decided to give it a go and ordered carry out this evening. Simply put, I should have trusted my instincts. As I sat waiting for the order to be prepared, people were complaining about the buffet, too. My order came out, and I made the 10-minute drive home. Bar none, the nastiest food I have ever seen. Despite paying an up charge for all white meat, we got drum sticks as our second piece of chicken, and all of it was undercooked and so greasy it was inedible anyway. The mashed potatoes were just as bad, and the side of coleslaw was packaged in a ONE-ounce condiment cup like some places put ketchup or other sauces in. Rounding things out was a hard, burned biscuit. When I called to talk with a manager (around 7pm on the same Friday night), there wasn't one working; I was asked to call back the next morning. This restaurant continues to disappoint. The food quality so good....when there is any. I was there from 12:30-1:00 on Wed, November 17. The place was about 30% full. There was no fried chicken in the pan, the dressing was room temperature, and the entire buffet had two slices of thick crust pizza, nothing else. I've eaten here several times for dinner and really like it, so when they started having a brunch buffet on the weekends I decided to try it. First off, it is the same price as dinner but with very little to choose from. The breakfast pizza had Italian sausage which was strange. The eggs had an odd taste. The biscuits and gravy were pretty good and they did have their fried chicken out, as well as full salad bar, because everyone loves a good salad at 9am. Before I state my opinion I want to make it very clear: I understand they are short staffed, I deal with the same issue. We had a party of 16 that had reserved the party room for in advance. When we got there at 6:00pm on Friday evening (our reserved time), the entire buffet was empty. Only options that were left were the side veggies, one pizza, salad options and a few pieces of dessert pizza. The restaurant was some what busy, but yet again even with shorter staff I think that especially on a Friday that an establishment would better prepare for a crowd. Including the reserved 16 person party they agreed to. There was basically the entire restaurant standing at the buffet when we were told it would be 15-20 mins before any food would be available. If it were a seated and served restaurant that would be understandable and expected. But it's ridiculous to have literally no food on a buffet and still have people being seated. The cups that were given to us were dirty and had pieces of dried food on them. At that time, I took my receipt up to the register where the GM Sarah was taking a complaint from another person. When I finally talked to her, I gave her my cups and receipt then expressed in an understanding manner that I get it, you're understaffed. But we had reserved a room with children and they were only able to have one piece of food each at an establishment that we had to pay $13 per kid, ASKING FOR A REFUND ON THE CHILDRENS' MEALS. She was extremely condescending and very rude, but refunded the entire ticket. I went back to the party room and sat with my children, she came into the room announced that more food is ready then said "said oh you stayed to eat". I said "well yea we reserved for this party, all I did was given you a complaint of the long weight for the food and the dirty cups but you resolved it". Her comment in front of the entire party was "a $81 refund for dirty cups?" I told her "my total was only $41, not $81. And I asked you for a discount on the kids prices for them waiting. It was your choice to refund the entire amount. Not mine." Then she continued to be disrespectful to my mother to try to get corporates number and who to contact for the regional. All the aggression was coming from her side, and was completely unprofessional. So no I do not recommend this establishment and will continue to contact corporate. This is ridiculous. read more

The experience was okay. The staff was friendly, and the food was okay. There were three buffet tables. One table was for salads, one table had fried chicken, mashed potatoes, and some sides, and the third table had about 4 or 5 different types of pizza along with a couple more as dessert options. I had a plate with salad, chicken, and 3 slices of pizza, but didn't have the desire to go back up for more. It seemed like I had the full experience from that one or two plates. We decided to pop into the PR for something quick on Saturday afternoon. Huge shopping day at the mall. The service was terrible. One worker helping customers at the register while others are waiting to be served by the same( and only ) employee up front. She also had an attitude that we were an inconvenience to her being. There were three pizzas to choose from, chicken was cold, gravy had a skin on it, and the dressing with consistency of cottage cheese. YUK. The floors were sticky and tables filthy. Excellent food all around. Pizza is very good but the chicken and all the fixings were fantastic. Location is very convenient for the south side of town and the price was reasonable. We will definitely be back. read more
