There's even outdoor seating and a rooftop (pretty sure I spotted that), but with it being 30 degrees out, I kept my Missouri-born self firmly indoors. I was seated right away and handed both the full menu and their daily lunch menu, which comes with two choices: vegan or non-vegan. Plot twist -- even the non-vegan option arrives as a full-on sampler platter with a veggie dish included. My plate came stacked: fluffy basmati rice, rich butter chicken(top middle), tender chicken tandoori (top left), a hearty vegetable curry (top right), three massive slices of fresh naan, and a little dessert to finish things off. All for fifteen bucks. Fifteen! It's easily one of the best lunch deals downtown. Everything was hot, fresh, and packed with flavor -- except the dessert (bottom middle), which was cold(because it's supposed to be, but still super tasty. Zayka absolutely delivers on bold, authentic Indian cuisine at a price point that just feels unfair to everyone else. The buffet must still be an option, but not Thursdays apparently, so I'm already planning my return trip.

The food was underwhelming--many items were cold, stale, or not refilled in a timely manner. The dining area also wasn't as clean as it should have been, with dirty tables left sitting for too long. One thing that immediately stood out was having to sign a liability waiver. It was honestly startling and gave the whole place an untrustworthy feeling before we even started having fun. Instead of making me feel reassured, it made me question why such a broad waiver was necessary in the first place. My first thought was, "If everything is as safe as it should be, why is a liability waiver needed?" Whether that's the intention or not, it created a negative first impression and made me less confident in the experience. The arcade and attractions looked fun at first, but several games were out of order, and the ones that did work weren't always functioning correctly. On top of that, the staff didn't seem interested in helping and often appeared overwhelmed or uninterested when customers had questions. The prices have also become outrageous. Incredible Food and Fun used to be an affordable place where families could spend an entire day without breaking the bank. Now, it feels like going there is something you have to save up for. Between the admission, games, food, and everything else, the cost adds up incredibly fast. For what you're paying, the quality of the experience simply doesn't justify the price. Overall, the experience wasn't worth the money. I expected a fun family outing, but instead left frustrated and feeling like I wasted my money. Between the declining food quality, lack of cleanliness, expensive prices, concerning first impression from the liability waiver, and poor customer service, I can't recommend Incredible Food and Fun in its current state. I genuinely hope they make improvements because it used to be a place I enjoyed visiting, but based on my recent experience, I won't be returning.

A fun game

Triple Eight is one of the two Chinese buffets in Republic but the highest rated (not by much(0.6…read morestar difference)). It also serves as a dine-in in the first 3/4 of the restaurant. The buffet, small as it is, takes up the remaining 1/4. When I say small, the dining area is pretty cramped requiring some back rubbing with the other patrons in order to get in and out of your seating. The buffet is a double-sided buffet line with the usual rice, lo mein, General Tsao chicken, crab ragoons, egg rolls, etc. the honey chicken was notably good as was the buttered potatoes. The highlight is the steamed crab legs but be prepared to negotiate with the other patrons you've been rubbing backs with because they disappear fast. It's one of those little known, but really awesome restaurants. I'm from Dallas, traveling through Springfield for a family reunion. I looked on Yelp for something close to my hotel, and I found Hibachi Steak & Sushi. There wasn't a lot of info on this place, but I decided to take a shot and try it. When I got there, it seemed small and wasn't busy. I was greeted by my waitress at the door, and she was very nice and helpful. Once I sat down, she got my drink order and gave me enough time to look the menu over. She came back with my drink and I asked her about a few things on the menu. They make their own teriyaki sauce, and their fried rice is already cooked (I wanted it without vegetables, so I got white rice instead). I placed my order (lunch size of Spicy Chicken & Shrimp) and my waitress brought out my salad with an extra side of dressing. The salad and salad dressing are good, and have a tangy taste. Also, my waitress kept my drink from getting below 1/2 full the whole time I was there. When I finished with my salad, my dinner came out piping hot. Since I haven't eaten here before, I took a minute and tried each piece on the plate. I liked all of them (spicy chicken, hibachi shrimp, noodles, vegetables, and rice) and they all had good flavor and texture. None of the food tasted old or chewy. I liked the chicken the most. It had a nice glazed layer on the outside, and the inside was juicy and had great flavor. I've had chicken before with no real taste, but this chicken had really great flavor to it. And the seasoning/sauce they used is good, too. I'm guessing it has some Sriracha in it, but it wasn't overpowering to me. I could've eaten a ton more of this chicken. I also had some hibachi shrimp. The shrimp were good sized, and they did not have an "overly fishy" taste. They seemed fresh to me, and had good flavor. After I finished, the waitress asked if I would like dessert, then ran my credit card. She was quick in everything she did, from my refills to bringing my bill and receipt. My waitress was very nice, friendly, and helpful. She seemed happy to help me with everything I needed. Also, the manager was on hand and paid just the right amount of attention to me. She was also polite and helpful. I just want to convey how good I think this place is. I wish it was closer to my home, so I could come back all the time. I'll be sure to stop in for a meal every time I drive through Springfield.
