I'm never going to claim that the best pizza can be found at Pizza Ranch, BUT they do offer better than store-bought quality pizza with a wide variety of toppings. There's also a buffet bar with salad stuff, fried chicken, hot vegetables and more. Don't forget the desserts and ice cream! I always leave feeling full, but only just. It's easy to go overboard so please pace yourself! This location was pretty nice. Very clean, quality of food was tops- everything tasted fresh and was warm. There's a game room in back for the kiddos. Friendly service. Really everything needed for a relaxing dining experience. It's a little off the freeway exit, but maybe only a couple of miles. It seemed farther than it was because I was hungry and just needed to get out of the car! But it's a great pit-stop and a good change from drive thru chains. read more

Excellent customer service! The gluten free pizza is delicious as well. I asked if they could make a gluten free dessert pizza and they did - just omitted the streusel as it has gluten. I got half cherry, half apple. HIGHLY recommend! I've been GF for more than 15 years and this was the first dessert pizza I've been able to enjoy in that time. I went to have a range of food and they did not disappoint. Chicken was great and the pizza variety is plenty. If you want a different type of pizza just tell them and they will get it shortly. I do like the fish they have there also. They always come and get the plates off the table quickly. The restaurant is a family setting so you will see kids but is nice to remember when I was young and had fun with the games also. Whoa!! Yesterday, Saturday, we wanted to grab lunch before leaving town... about 12:20... apparently the whole town thought the same thing!! We took one of the last parking spots along the back row of the parking lot. Opened the door to enter... the next door in to the restaurant... stopped...as the line was THAT LONG!!! However... the line moved rather fast. Then... I heard the cashier "there's a 15 minute wait for a table." Man....feeling defeated. However, a few minutes later by the time we got to her, she pointed out a table for our party of two. Despite my worry that the buffet would be empty... Pizza Ranch kept the food full and there was no lacking in options. There also wasn't a line for each food item, as I expected. Thanks Pizza Ranch for crushing all my worries and providing a delicious lunch. When we left an hour later the line was STILL out the door!! I don't know if this is a typical Saturday afternnon, but it was worth the wait. I didn't encounter much staff but they were all kind. It's been ages since I've been in a Pizza Ranch as most in MN have closed.. one difference I noticed was that instead of the little brown bowls for ice cream they now offered black disposable cups. Maybe it's not new but just new to me... they also offered three dessert pizzas, including a chocolate chip cookie one....that I dropped a bit of ice cream on to! Opening Day!! Wow the people of La Crosse were ready for a Pizza Ranch! They lined up for the Grand opening at 11am today. The service was pretty good for a store opening. The only bottleneck was the cashier area but that is understandable. This store features the "new" ranch layout leaving behind the rustic look for a flashy multi-colored bright dining area. The buffet is also different using the "lunch line" style vs. the "island" one. This one bunches up the customers when it is busy but allows the staff to fill the pizzas and other food items much faster. The layout of the store is pretty good except the restrooms are a bit hidden in a far corner. The community rooms are spacious and will be great for private meetings or parties. The "Fun center" is also part of the new PR format. Plenty of kid games. I was hopeful for a classic Ms Pacman but no such luck! The owner, Nancy, was on hand greeting the customers which was a nice touch. She was very friendly and even posed for a quick photo. The owners certainly have customer service in mind as everything was well stocked and there was plenty of staff on hand clearing the tables as well as asking about our dining experience. The food. Clearly at or above pizza ranch standards. Chicken cooked just right and so was the pizza. A couple of new items, pasta noodles with marinara similar to the cheese stick dipping sauce. Also had bread sticks and homemade chips. Very pleased with all items served, however, I would encourage eliminating the chips for garlic toast like the Stewartville location. Salad bar had a wide variety of toppings. ...and yes this store has ice cream. Only thing not working was the TV sets. Otherwise a picture perfect opening. Congrats. We will be back. read more

On top of that, it's great to come here with kids since they have the arcade and the food is solid! We enjoy having family get together a here- highly recommend! read more

I was disappointed in the lack of food options (compared to the one I go to in IL,) It was 4pm and your salad dressing bottles were almost empty? However the chicken was pretty good and the apple pizza was amazing. Whipped spread is NOT butter. Where is the butter? REAL butter. It's WI, The Dairy State. It's a pizza buffet, so you are bound to find a slice or two that are on the tail end of their shelf life, but they check it so regularly that it's easy to get a fresh piece of whatever type of pizza you were after. The staff are cheery, vibrant, sweet-spirited, eager to please and pro-active in suggesting new ideas (it's scary how good they are at guessing what total strangers want). If they don't have it on the "bar," well, you can just ask and they will probably make it up just for you and whoever else is willing to try it. Seating is comfortable, the place is clean, and everywhere smells like pizza. It's definitely worth the price, which isn't that bad for a buffet anyway. They also do a lot of fundraiser and charity events, so they're good people on top of all of that. Put it on your party list. read more

Everyone knows that the chicken is super-good and probably the best thing on the menu. But I was actually surprised at how good the pizza was -- pretty solid sides and salads too. Also the dessert pizzas and ice cream are "icing on the cake." read more

Absolutely wonderful, delicious and sorta perfect. I wish that we got there sooner for pick-up. Delicious, except it was limp. But, they gave us a bonus cheesy, garlic bread, that I might just fight for..! The pizza was lovely, The garlicky, cheesy bread was outstanding! I can't tell you, in words, how good! Disappointed. We didn't realize when we came in that masks were not required and many of the employees were not wearing them. Apparently there was a sign on the bulletin board near the door (which we did not see or would not have come in). We asked the server clearing our plates and she said they weren't required, so we asked her not to clear our plates and she rolled her eyes at us and walked away. However they do ask you to wear gloves to get your food - not sure why gloves but no masks? As far as the food, only a few pieces of chicken (all dark meat) and limited other choices (my husband said no green beans no stuffing - he loves Pizza Ranch and goes to many when he travels). However we did leave after we found out about no masks, so possibly it was replenished? We also weren't asked when we paid if there was anything they could make for us (which is usually normal for Pizza Ranch). Manager and GM made no apologies for no masks or our experience- our own fault I guess. GM suggested we get vaccinated. All around bad experience and we won't go back. read more

Pizza is solid. Staff is helpful and efficient, and haven't seen a ton of turnover even throughout the past year. The fried chicken is surprisingly good. All considered, they do a darn good job of keeping this place meeting the bar it's intended to meet. My son loves it here and begs to come back constantly. read more
