Dinner with the hubbs; he is starting with the Fishbowl draft beer, let the party begin! :-D

DECENT CHEAP PIZZA ALERT!! :-D :-D :-D My husband and I were recently in the Clarion PA area on an escape-the-kids road trip long weekend. At the recommendation of our hotel desk clerk, we ended up at Pizza Pub for dinner one night. The dining room has a comfy warm throwback feel, with dark bricks, chunky wood chairs and a big roofed-bar. We came in at weekend dinnertime and were able to get a table right away, but there weren't many left. The pizza menu has a variety of basic and specialty pies, and any can be ordered in any size from mini to large. The mini is a bit smaller than a Pizza Hut personal pan. A small or a medium could be eaten by a single person, and a large is shareable by two or three people. The prices are great! If you want, you can order a variety of minis and/or smalls to try a variety of different pies. With the mini under five bucks, it is a low-risk investment to try something new you're not sure you'll like. My husband and I split a mini Pete's Pizza, which has a vinegar white sauce, extra cheese, and pineapple. As much as pineapple on a pizza is blasphemy, it was actually delicious! I particular liked the taste of the briny vinegar with the sweet pineapple. We also ordered a small cheese pizza for me and my husband had a medium anchovies pizza. I despise anchovies, so being able to order separate pies at a reasonable price, each ten bucks or less, was great! And the pizzas were pretty good! Sure, they're not the most decadent doughy pizzas ever, but for the value, the satisfying taste and generous enough portion is definitely there. In addition to our pizzas, I had a glass of wine and my husband had a fishbowl-bucket of draft beer, haha. Drink prices were very reasonable, as well. Our server was very sweet and attentive. All around, it was a great dining experience at Pizza Pub. When we're back enjoying the quaint Clarion PA area again, we'd surely come back for another round of pies!

Can you see that little piece of meat?

I i've always enjoyed the food at Pizza Pub in Clarion PA today. I ordered a Stromboli and it was terrible. It had a lot of hot peppers on it melted cheese and I would say not even a piece of meat. I text the manager and he said the Stromboli never has very much meat on it. I said there wasn't even a slice of meat on it. It was just awful so I just warned you about going there and do not order the Stromboli cause you won't get any meat. The manager has offered to give me credit for another Stromboli, but I am not even gonna waste my gas to go get one

I would really suggest this restaurant. It's small and looks like locals come to it. Got the Stromboli and it was good! Fries were good also but no consistent with texture. Service was good also. Friendly environment. Will be back!

Look at the super thin sliced pepperoni and those canned mushrooms!! Yum! Old School baby! It really takes me back !

Sometimes you just want a piece of Nostalgia! We were in the Clarion area and I was starving and thought pizza sounded good. Pizza Pub was close to our hotel so I checked their Yelp rating and their website. I like different pizza chain restaurants, but sometimes you want that Hometown taste that you grew up with. I saw the picture on their menu for Old Style Harry's Pizza. Immediately I had the feeling that this was what I was looking for!! You can buy it by the slice or get a whole sheet of pizza. Rectangle style like it was cooked on a cookie sheet. Hometown Pizza!! Today we get to enjoy pizzas with just about anything and everything on it! Which is fabulous! But sometimes you wanna go Old School.. And the toppings that came on this pizza were very simple - pepperoni, mushrooms , onions and green peppers. Yes!!! Even the way they were diced reminded me of the pizza shop we went to when I was a kid. When we got it back to the hotel it was exactly what I was wanting. It did not have that chain pizza taste - It was definitely a comforting home style pizza!! The one thing that was a worry is that when we went to pick it up no one in the restaurant was taking Covid measures. No one had on a mask anywhere in the restaurant. So that brought the experience down a notch for us. But as for the pizza, if you need a comforting nostalgic yummy in your tummy feeling- head over to Pizza Pan and get this pizza!

Heads up on rampant racism…read more.. Hi friends.. I haven't made a post on Facebook in awhile. This post is long, so please bare with me. This is important. I am so sad to share this... I have decided to make a post about an interaction I witnessed in Clarion, because I truly believe this needs to be heard & shared amongst the community, & simply could not stand for what happened.... On Saturday April 5th 2025 , at approximately 8:30PM, I was visiting Clarion & met a friend at Loomis Bar. I arrived & was greeted by the owner of the Loomis, Ron Pacsai. I made small talk with Ron, as I used to work for him as a bartender at Infusion Bar circa 2021- another bar that be owns in Clarion as well as Loomis Bar. After the small talk with Ron Pacsai, I made my way over to my friend. We ordered our drinks & some food. One of the bartenders at Loomis Bar informed us that it was free juke box that night & suggested that we should play some songs. Immediately, Ron Pacsai, the owner, interjected & looked directly at my friend & said in a disgusted tone "don't play any of that black people music" My friend made every attempt to dismiss his comment. But he went on to repeat himself two more times that he did not want my friend to play "black people music" After his third comment my friend finally said "excuse me?" Ron Pacsai: "you heard me, I don't want to hear that black ass music in my bar" My friend: "you know I have black children right? I really don't appreciate your comment" Ron Pacsai: "oh I know you do. & that is why I said 'I don't want to hear any of your black ass music' in my bar. & you can get the f*** out if you don't like that" My friend: (who has been a paying customer to him FOR YEARS): "Do you want me to leave then?" Ron Pacsai: "yes. Get the f*** out of my bar right now" My friend graciously exited Loomis Bar. But I decided to stay for just a few seconds longer to hear this next part. The lovely bartender, (the one who told us about the free jukebox night) BRAVELY said to her boss, Ron Pacsai,: "Ron, that seemed a little unfair to kick her out for (challenging) what you said. She did nothing wrong." Ron Pacsai: "I don't f****** care. You can leave with her" The bartender: "I need this job... Ron, my 2 month old child is black. You know that right?" Ron Pacsai: "I don't f****** care. I'll fire you right now for that." I decided to leave at that moment to catch up with my friend. I feel guilty for not interjecting. This was a blatant scenario of RACISM by Ron Pacsai. The owner of both Loomis & Infusion. Ron was fully aware that my friend has biracial children & chose to tell her that her "black ass music" was unwelcome. (Fun fact she just wanted to play some Simon & Garfunkel, & Tom Petty on the free jukebox.. not some 'black ass music' he was insinuating-- if that matters). I can say with full confidence that my friend in question is a pillar of the community, as are her children. I feel blessed to call her my friend. I am currently unaware if that brave bartender still has a job. I am not sure if Ron Pacsai fired her for only stating her feelings about his BLATANT racist comments & telling Ron she has a biracial child. I feel ASHAMED that this behavior still happens. I feel ashamed that this man was my boss. I am ashamed that this happened in the place I grew up in. I beg the Clarion community to STAND UP & SHOW that this behavior is UNACCEPTABLE. Please share this post. Please let Ron Pacsai know that his actions & behavior are UNACCEPTABLE. I am truly begging.... PLEASE SHARE!!!!!
