#44/2022 Pizza? Sure let's talk Pizza…read moreEast Coast New York Pizza what is it for the most part it's paper thin and you can fold the thing in a slice My hometown Chicago it's mostly about the sausage it's also about the big pan almost pie like deep dish with gooey cheese or the stuffed with an extra layer of cheese on top Detroit square Pizza And then on the other side of the world there's California who does things to Pizza that we won't even try to even mention lol And then there is Saint Louis style pizza. Here is an Imo's St Louis Pizza franchise and while in St Louis not everyone is like this. they do have the traditional kind of pizzas around the gateway too but they also have one that is unique to them and that's called the St Louis style pizza What is St Louis style pizza versus traditional well it looks almost the same however is a paper thin cracker like crust. And what makes it very interesting to only St Louis as they use a cheese that's only available near there called Provel processed cheese. Provo cheese is like a borderline sort of American cheese. The cracker like crust also does not use yeast in their dough. When you read reviews for Imos it does take some people by surprise some people like... that pizza was crap this pizza was delicious it is an acquired taste I have found through the years. I hadn't really wanted pizza tonight I really wanted pasta but the problem is they don't have a meatless marinara and their meat sauce and Imo's is very heavily onion and I don't like a whole lot of onion. So I opted to get to St Louis style sausage pizza. I went with the 10-in which was perfect for me it tasted all right it was what I remembered a few years ago it wasn't like your traditional mozzarella gooey cheese but it was what it was and it's not my favorite but it's not the end of the world either. You have to really want to have it if you've never had it before or you really love it. For me the acquired taste is definitely there as soon as I bit into it. it's like oh yeah there it is I remember this it's been a while but. So this small little franchise here in the Rhodes travel center it's just straight across the board it shares space with the rest of the truck stop and a whole lot more but the quality of the pizza it was hot it was cooked fresh and for what it was it was good.

Ordered salad, soup, kids tenders, and lighter version of fettuccine Alfredo. Everything hit the spot, it was so delicious, I was very happy with the food and the service. The few tables that were seated around us spoke about how their food was delicious and to give thanks to the chef's. It's nice to hear other tables enjoying their food as well. Cheyenne (pardon the spelling if it's wrong) was our waitress and she was just delightful. I will be back just for Cheyenne, such a sweetheart.

But I especially like the venue, on the outer edge of the West Park Mall parking area, in an attractive brick strip-mall-type building, with comfortable seating inside and outside. Sometimes, spuds have been unavailable (difficult to predict how many to make?). But service has been fine, drinks proactively refilled, we've never had to ask. There is one particular server or assistant-manager I'd like to recognize for his outstanding hospitality, but I need to pay more attention to noting his name. Thanks McAlister's, you've fueled us for our road trips.

I used to always get their breakfast pizza, but then I discovered the chocolate Danish--and WOW. It's amazing! There is chocolate in every single bite, which is exactly what I want in a chocolate Danish. I liked it so much that I bought several more to take home with me and enjoy throughout the week. They also have sandwiches, and when I asked about getting a salad, they were even willing to make me a huge fresh salad upon request. Their pizza is also better than what I'd expect from a convenience store and honestly better than a lot of the chain pizza places. Another fun option is that they have different syrups and creamers available, so you can even create your own version of a dirty soda while you're there. The rewards program is another bonus, especially if you stop at Casey's regularly. Overall, this is a convenient location with plenty of good food options, friendly service, and some surprisingly great treats. And if you see the chocolate Danish, get one--you won't regret it!

I ordered through the app, and it said my food would be ready in about 10 minutes. I walked in just five minutes later, and they already had my order ready! Even better, the staff noticed me as soon as I walked through the door, asked if I was there for a pickup order, and actually brought it over to me before I even made it to the counter. That was some great customer service. The restaurant itself was clean, with plenty of parking and lots of seating, so it would be easy to stop here whether you're dining in or grabbing something to go. And, of course, the food was delicious. My burrito was absolutely filled to the brim, so I definitely got my money's worth. Overall, this was a quick, convenient, and tasty stop. When you're trying to get a meal and get back on the road, it's hard to ask for much more than that!
