I have always thought that Rosati's was a good restaurant with reasonable prices and large portions. I know that some have had a different experience. I would strongly encourage you to try them again. Our beef sandwich was improved and outstanding. They have upgraded their giardiniera. I freely admit to being an arancini snob. I have eaten them in multiple locations, including Sicily and other areas of Italy. They have added this to their appetite menu and it is definitely five stars. Best I have ever had. Another disappointing trip to Rosati's. Table of four, two different couples dining in. The restaurant was maybe half full at its peak while we were there. Service was below average and Cape's average is mediocre to begin with. Service issue #1: Good luck getting drink refills... after trying to 'stare the waitress down" to try to get her attention, one of the other people we were dining with got up to ask a different staff person for help. That didn't work very well as they just told our waitress & she must have been too busy to actually bring refills for another ten minutes. She did bring a couple of refills while one of us had a salad, but beyond that we all were nearly done eating the main course prior to getting another. My favorite service problem was when we presented a fund raiser card with a discount and two credit cards on the credit card tray & once again she didn't stop as she whisked it off the table while going past us. She came back and said we accidentally gave two cards, which one did we want to use? When we asked her to apply the discount and split the check evenly (trying to make it easy on her as we didn't have equal orders) she went away and brought a manager back who tried to explain their system couldn't handle two credit cards on one bill with a discount... I asked them to give it a try and low and behold, within seconds of them leaving the table, my phone alerted me to a charge hitting my credit card. When the waitress returned she said that the manager was able to get it to go through this time but they wouldn't be doing that again... As for the food: The garlic cheese bread appetizer we ordered was pretty good. We even got to each have one slice before our pizza arrived. So much for time between courses. The pizza sauce here is very sweet (sugary) which is great if you like that style. I'm not a fan, the other couple like it. The disappointing part was that our sausage and pepperoni pizza hadn't cooked long enough leaving the crust chewy and very doughy. So we ate the outside pieces and left the middle section. Maybe this is a good thing so when it is reheated for their leftovers it will finish baking. When the waitress did finally came by after we had been finished eating quite a while, (all of us with empty drink cups) she dropped the check on the table & flew by, she didn't say anything and we didn't even get a chance to ask for a box... It's a good thing I didn't need my birthday dessert! Maybe they need to give the staff sections instead of rotating the tables throughout the entire restaurant based on when they come in? If you give it a shot - I hope you have better luck than we did. Having been here a handful of times with similar experiences each time except one (a lunch meeting where we all had the buffet & served ourselves) I think I will pass on additional visits. read more

Good food and taste. However if you get the deep dish be wary. The deep dish Chicago style I am used to have a LOT of cheese. This one has just enough to barely cover the bread. Went for the new lunch buffet. Let's just say they don't invest enough in their buffet for it to taste good. The pizza didn't taste good. They had 2 pasta choices that were in tin foil pans and they were really dried out. They had these little bread balls but they tasted really old and were not warm. And they had the marinara sitting on top above the heat lamps in plastic bowls. Then when we went back a 2nd time, they basically had nothing on the buffet. At some point later, they did finally start bringing out a few new things. But when we tried their "dessert" bread balls, they barely had any sugar or chocolate on them. And they were hard as well. The waitress seemed to have woken up on the wrong side of the bed and was really unfriendly. The best thing was their Italian dressing that was in a to go packet. I have eaten at Rosati's pizza 3 times and I think it is time for a review. The first two time I at there I had bad experiences. My first pizza was undercooked, and my second pizza was given to someone else. I am a firm believer that any new restaurant deserves a little time before reviewing them. Last night I order an XL thin crust, Italian sausage, extra sauce and well done. It was AMAZING. They absolutely nailed it. The manager even called me to tell me my pizza was coming out of the oven. I am a stickler on food places, especially in Cape because people think they can open up a sub-par restaurant and make it. Rosati's is ready folks. Trial period is over! Go eat there. I would give them zero stars if it would allow me to. We ordered for the first time this evening. However when I called I was told 35-45 minutes for delivery and then I waited well over an hour for it to arrive. However once it showed up both pizzas were slid to the side of the box and cold! I called and spoke with the manager and he said that if I wanted fresh hot pizza that I had to wait another hour. Sadly he didn't even apologize. Extremely disappointed. read more

My first time at rosatis after hearing all the hype, and i was not impressed. It's a nice place, and the staff is lovely and helpful but the food was horrific. I've eaten here once and did take out once. 1st time was within a month of being open. Seated within 5 minutes. Drink order taken quickly. Ordered mozzarella sticks. Took about 10 minutes. They were delicious. We ordered the Rosati monster pizza, thin crust. Took about 20 minutes to come out but worth the wait! Super hot, fresh, and loaded with toppings. 2nd time I did 2 pizzas for take out and did another Rosati monster and a double cheese and both were amazing again. Little confusion when picking it up...they didnt have a good system nor did their register open to give change, because they had been out of reciept paper apparently. So manager on duty came up, replaced the paper, tons of receipts printed out and the drawer finally popped open! Simple mistakes that happen when you have worked in food service or retail. This is one of those places that if you only ever go once every year or two you wouldn't miss out. My experience started with an employee holding the door open for people and shouting at another employee while doing so. "Hurry up! Last time you burnt my wings!" This was our third attempt to try to eat here as we were told there was a two hour wait just to get a table. The hostess, who looked like she had been crying, sat us at the table right by the door. Usually I don't like this, but in a new place it's a great way to see how the front of the house runs. Our waitress came out quickly and seemed very friendly. Our food did come out in a timely manner for a pizza that takes about 45 minutes to cook, we were right on time. While waiting I could observe... the hostess would stray away from her job to take drink orders and carry food out to tables. I even saw her clean one table that sat dirty for our first 20 minutes here. Once she cleaned it off, she sat a couple and their grandchild at it. They didn't even get drink orders for 30 minutes!! At one point the employee that held the door for us must have gotten his order. He was easily seen chowing down on his pizza at the front counter! I went to use the restroom, which I think is the only thing that didn't get updated when Rosati's moved in. On my way back to the table I walked past the doors to the kitchen. They have windows... through the windows I could see not one, but two employees indulging in pizza! This is in the kitchen where my food is being prepared!!! I'm no expert but I'm pretty sure the health department would have a hay day!! We waited and waited for my wife to get a refill on her drink which finally made its way to the table after asking for it a third time! There were at least 4 tables in the dining area that were just simply in need of being cleared off. The dirty dishes were piled so high that the waitresses had to balance them when they'd drop them off. The hostess then started telling people as they walked in that they're really busy and there is at least an hour to hour and a half wait on the food to be cooked. Well, that's because the employees are getting food in the kitchen! She ran off at least three couples.. should I say she ran off at least $150. The only reason I am giving three stars is because my food was actually really good! The only unknown is if I got any of the employee's crumbs in my food... But I would say I thought Chicago style pizza was thick and full of ingredients. The pizza crust was super thick and the topping amount was the same as if I had gone to Pizza Hut. Overall I am not impressed and dare I say this may be my only visit. read more

I hate to only give three star's their pizza game was a solid five, however the order pick-up process was insane. I ordered online and it advised thirty minutes. I arrived about forty minutes after I arrived to four high-school aged people whom were too busy discussing their broken cell-phones instead of helping the customers. After waiting another twenty minutes and me checking in again with them, they shuffled to the back and miraculously my pizza had been ready for a while. Note to management: For God's sake have your employees put their cell phones away and conduct a training session on not standing around talking.
