I cannot say enough good things about Minglewood! I wouldn't consider myself a big craft beer kind of girl but this place might have changed me. We sat at the bar and were waited on by the nicest bartender ever! He was great at giving recommendations, kindly changed the TV to the game we wanted to watch and called my boyfriend 'Chief' which we both got a kick out of. Don't be fooled by their small menu, the beer and the pies are to die for! We ordered (between the two of us) one of the Margarita Pies and a 5oz glass of every beer they had to offer. While I was partial to the chocolate stout, my boyfriend really liked the Elmer. They really have something that everyone would like here. The ambiance was great and when we're back in Cape G again this will definitely be one of our first stops! read more

When we walked in from their back entrance we almost walked right out because it smelled awful. We were the only people in there. The beer was underwhelming. Definitely a miss for me. read more

Fun atmosphere with a good selection of house brewed beers. Typical pub fare, maybe a bit pricey for what it is. Friendly service happy to recommend beer pairings. Great location a block from the Mississippi River. read more

After leaving my cousin's wedding reception a little early, we wanted to find a local brewery for a nightcap. Minglewood Brewery was close to our hotel, so luckily we didn't have to travel far. It was essentially a coin flip as I wanted to also check out Many Good Things Brewery as well. The joint was only slightly full when we arrived. We were greeted and decided to sit at the bar as there were no other patrons seated there. Bartender offered us a couple of drink menus to peruse. I started off with the Elmer IPA. I don't recall the second beer that I had. Both beers were good. I was glad I stopped as I was having trouble finding craft beer during my trip. If I lived here, this would definitely be a regular hangout spot. read more

Busy college town pizza joint! Limited beer list, the wedge salad came 'deconstructed', and be sure to specify whole or half salad! The pizzas are very good! read more

Wonderful outside seating in a cozy and nicely decorated enclosure! The service was friendly, chatty and so enjoyable! We enjoyed visiting with friends, a 10" supreme pizza (recommend), and an ice cold tap beer. Such a pleasant place! read more

Really good food ! Brunch is offered which is so fun , not a whole lot of options but all are great! The big pretzel is wonderful and the beers are always tasty read more

My wife had a get-a-way weekend in Cape last month and actually came by Minglewood twice! The vibe and beer are good, but nothing remarkable. The highlights were the brunch on day 2 and an amazing beer poster! Our dinner food on night 1 was the Reuben (of course) and the pretzel. Both were good. Our bartender wasn't always the most attentive...until he was and then wouldn't leave us alone! Regardless, we went to 4 bars in Cape that evening and this spot was one to which we'll return. read more

We have been here twice and had the same waitress both times. While the food is good, service is far from that. Drinks stay empty for a long time. Last night one of our pizzas was delivered hot and the other was cold. There is potential here, unfortunately the restaurant is just falling short. read more

Nachos were plentiful and very tasty. Fed 4 of us with some to spare. The IpA was also a hit

Pizza is great! Parking is a big lot right across the street. Beer was cold and good

Good beer, which was all I had, but the bar tender with a beard was great at his job. I wish the menu had a some cheap bar food options.

Unique spot with good food and drinks. Different areas for different likes. Indoor and Outdoor seating, decent service, good menu, would recommend. read more

Minglewood Brewery - a pint of beer on a bar - Brewpubs Near Me - Cape Girardeau, Missouri

We stopped by Minglewood for lunch. It was great! The tater tot bowl was fabulous! I recommend not sharing. You will want your own. For our mains, we had the Rueben with soup and the burnt end quesadilla with salads. The sandwiches and quesadillas were fine. The soup was really good. The salads were trash. The lettuce was kitchen scrap and the dressing was skimpy. We didn't drink since it was a little early. read more

Absolutely fantastic experience. My wife and I sat at the bar. Wife ordered a mixed drink. I ordered one of their brews, midnight veil. Both were absolutely excellent. The bartender Andrew was fantastic, made two food recommendations, both of which we accepted. Did the southwest chicken quesadilla, and the supreme calzone. Both were absolutely delicious. Service was fantastic. Andrew was amazingly attentive. Will absolutely visit again. read more

When we left both kids said "I wish this place was near us!" and I couldn't agree more. The pizzas were about a personal size - they shared the cheese and I had the taco and despite my best efforts, I couldn't finish it. The tomato basil soup that came with the Rueben also got rave reviews. Overall we were pretty impressed with Cape Girardeau and if we pass through again we're definitely eating at Minglewood. read more

Hefeweizen beer and a Supreme pizza were a great pair! Visiting Cape after a few years away and discovered Minglewood Brewery. Service was outstanding! Bartenders were so friendly and quick. Clean and pleasant pub environment. Couldn't have asked for a better place to grab food and a drink. I'll be back again, next time I'm in town! read more

Good pizza, good beer, good beer cheese & salsa. Fun place. Bartender Audrey was nice.

Cute and intimate environment! The BBQ pizza was smoky and delicious, loved it. The burnt ends in the pizza were tender and the bbq sauce wasn't too sweet. The mac and beer cheese pizza was good, but I enjoyed the BBQ pizza more as it had more depth. A dipping sauce like ranch or garlic could elevate the pizza, but if you enjoy pasta on your pizza try it out! For drinks I tried the punching stars and really enjoyed how light and refreshing it was, highly recommend if you don't enjoy strong beers. Overall, I had a great time at Minglewood and would love to come back! read more

Our waiter was perfect. Seemed to come around just in time unlike many places. The pizza was good, a little over cooked but still delicious. We sat on the back porch, still a little cool. Patio heaters would have been nice. Please fix the broken speaker. I really did enjoy the place. read more

My first time at this restaurant in Cape and it was pretty good. I am here for my annual guys weekend with my friends and we got together here for lunch. I had the Reuben sandwich which comes with tomato bisque soup and a side salad. The sandwich was good and served warm. It tasted good but there was some fat in the corned beef which made it easy to pull all the meat out from the bread when taking a bite. The tomato bisque soup was prepared well but not anything special. The salad was a bowl of mixed greens with a few micro chopped tomatoes. Not really an amazing salad but it was okay. There beer selection seems nice. I had the Elder Elmer which is an ipa style beer. Mildly hoppy but smooth. Our server was friendly and attentive but the food for all my friends came out piece meal instead of all at once. Not her fault but awkward nonetheless. Overall, an okay experience. I would probably try this restaurant again but not top priority. read more

We had the BBQ nacho, sausage goat cheese pizza and a Kolsch beer. Service was good! As for the food, we would do the pizza and beer again and pass on the nacho. The atmosphere is excellent for causal meeting with friends and having a beer. There are three TVs so sports night is doable here. read more

Service, pizza selection, desserts, and oh--did I mention the beer??!! We had a goat cheese and sausage, BBQ and bacon, and the honey with ricotta pizzas. ALL were delicious and fresh. The sauce perfectly spiced, good quality cheeses, crust was both crisp and the right amount of chew and char. We had the Hefeweizen and the West Coast IPAs--very good!! Desserts were delicious and came out warm--the cake and Carmel brownie OMGosh! Service from Abbie (?) was attentive. Good crowd on the patio. Go check out Minglewood! read more

Minglewood Brewery - Big Ass Bloody - Brewpubs Near Me - Cape Girardeau, Missouri

Good first impression of the restaurant. The open feel and rustic lodge feel is not overpowering. More on the lines of weekend lodge rather than hunting lodge! I stopped in at 2:00 pm, so the place was dead, but I don't hold that against them. Anyone lunching would have long been back to work. However, I was joined after a few more bytes by a set of late diners. The music was good and not to loud. Moderate rock/hair band. I stopped in for pizza but was lured by Taco Tuesday! After talking with the bartender I stuck with my original thought and did pizza. I took a chance on the Gourmet Veggie Pizza with tomatoes, spinach, mushrooms and kalamata olives. The crust is made with spent grains from the brewery. The crust is thin and has a great malty taste. The cheese was perfectly melted and browned on top. The veggies were fresh. The cheese blend has 3 different types of mozzarella, Romano and Parmesan cheeses. The bottom crust could have been a little crisper, but the pizza came to the table after only 7 minutes, so it is possible to have awesome pizza for lunch. It is difficult to find a place open for a late lunch that serves pizza. I'm glad I found this place. I'll be back! read more

What a great brewery! The DDH Trace Quantity was quite tasty. The goat cheese sausage pizza was delicious! And the tot nachos....oh man! Wonderful! They are also dog friendly! We stopped here on a work trip and not disappointed. The menu is not super large but has great variety. The taste and quality was great. Had the tri tip sandwich and the loaded baked potato salad. Definitely try that potato salad. Did not partake in any of the beer selections (work trip) but again a nice variety to pick from. Would highly recommend this place. Service is a bit slow but we didn't mind. If you're in a hurry maybe come back when you don't mind a little wait. read more

We were looking for a quick and nice place to grab lunch before heading to SEMO for a visit. We found Minglewood on Yelp and thought we would try it. There is a nice ambiance inside and located close to the river. Plenty of parking behind the place and some on street parking. We ordered 2 smaller pizzas for 3 of us and my husband ordered a flight of beer. He liked what he had. The service was great and our food came quickly and was cooked nicely. This is definitely a place we would go to again on another visit. read more
