Ebb & Flow Fermentations in Cape Girardeau was a great stop. I had the Chicken Bowl (Little River Bowl), and it was absolutely delicious--fresh, flavorful, and filling without being too heavy. They brew their own beer, with a focus on sours and saisons. Those aren't really my style, so I stuck with water, but if you're into those varieties, you'll probably enjoy the selection. The atmosphere was one of the highlights. I sat inside, but they also have a large, spacious outdoor patio that looked like a fantastic place to relax and hang out. Overall, it was a great experience, and I'd definitely go back for the food and the vibe. read more

Only 1 other customer was here when we came. The 2 employees were friendly/inviting. The Christmas decorations were a great touch. We grabbed our beers and went into the larger adjacent room and sat on the sofa. We didn't order any food. I had a tart, sour beer. Parking is convenient as it's right on the street. These buildings are older and it's cool to look at all the history. read more

Cute little spot. Their drinks are more like mead. The service was excellent. I recommend the peanut butter jelly. The interior was decorated with krampus items for the holidays. They have some games for play. We did not try any food on visit. read more

Ebb and Flow is VERY hippie which isn't necessarily a bad or good thing. The service is solid and the food is great. The beer is typically more strange and experimental. Often they have funky Belgian beers, sours, and other a-typical styles. Great option for adventurous beer lovers or folks who just love a good smash burger. read more

We enjoy trying craft beer at local breweries when traveling and Ebb and Flow was right in our wheelhouse. We started with a flight and then had a couple half pours. Bartenders were helpful and knowledgeable. Glad they recommended the Beetblast. It's seasonal so try to go soon. read more

Food, service, and live music. What more could you want. Food was amazing! Drinks were awesome too!

Found this place on my first trip thru the boot heel of MO. Unique place lots of character. Decor eclectic but perfectly curated. Staff were very friendly and knowledge about their impressive beer selection. Had the Utopia in Ruins draft. Well balanced but complex. Was passing through so had to stop at one although they had others that looked interesting. Menu was on the gastropub side. Had the Ebb burger (yummy with the burger sauce) and very impressed with the roasted sweet potatoes (lots going on there with the aioli and chimichuri). Definitely recommend. read more

We enjoy trying eateries that are interesting & new to us while we are traveling. Today was no exception. Driving from Illinois to Memphis, we were getting hungry just before we hit Cape Giradueau. Lucky for us, Ebb & Flow popped up in a Yelp search. This great little place has such a cool vibe, and is situated on a corner in the historic downtown area. You can feel the vibe immediately upon entering, and two employees were front and center, giving friendly advice on the menu. They are so many interesting things on the menu, with a vegetarian bent. Food orders are placed at the counter and delivered tableside. We settled on the roasted sweet potatoes as an app, then the Mushroon Gyro for me & the Chicken gyro for my husband. The toasted sweet potatoes are a symphony for both the eyes and the mouth, with such perfectly married flavors. The mushroom gyro had much the same flavor & many shared ingredients. While it was tasty, I found it too rich to finish. I take the blame for this, for not having read the menu carefully enough. The interior of this place is everything! If we lived in the area, I'm positive we would be regulars, as this is just the perfect space to hang out in. We were not able to sample their beers, as we were traveling, but hopefully, another time. read more

We were in Cape for kids State Wrestling Championships, we spent 12 hours in a gym standing on a concrete floor listening to whistles and parents screaming "get 'em." As we waited I went to Yelp to find local food/beer, because after a day in a gym listening to whistles and parents yelling "get 'em" the light at the end of the tunnel is beer. We got the E&F about a quarter to nine and learned the kitchen closes at 9. Dammit, we don't want to be those guys but the waitress/bartender/hostess/generally awesome person said it was no problem. We got the hot Italian dip, smoked cream cheese, and potatoes appetizer. All top notch. I got the BLT grilled cheese, which was top two best BLTs of my life. One friend got the shrimp roll which he said was good. Other guy got the chicken flat bread which was also awesome. Had some beers. The Brown was great, the Belgian Strong was great, it was late and that was all I could really handle after the long day in a gym. Go have a beer and a great BLT. Thank me later. read more

Cute eatery, beer hall and Biergarten in Cape Girardeau's historic district . Lots of charm. Cozy and eclectic vibe. They have a large selection of beers. I enjoyed a great porter, the Love Child flatbread, tomato bisque, and roasted sweet potatoes. Our group also got the Electric Avenue flatbread, grilled cheese, brie and pulled pork skillet and the pear salad. All delish. Big portions and lots of leftovers. There is a red sauce that's on many of the menu items that I could use less of, but that would be my only complaint. Friendly staff. Recommend!! read more

Great beer. Everything true to style. Chill bartender. Really nice retro ambience. A little off the main drag but parking abundant. Order at the bar and have a seat with your friends. You will enjoy your time here Really just about every beer was very good and that's the most important criteria. But we also had a flat bread dish and my wife declared it excellent. Highly recommended. read more

The inside is awesome, let's just go ahead and get that out of the way. If you want to really feel cozy, go in the evening and sit in one of the corners with one of their many beer selections. The lights and all the eclectic art pieces allude coolness. The food is tasty, and service was attentive and welcoming. I was visiting from out of town but would definitely love to come back! read more

Great food with a menu that changes regularly. Interesting cocktails. Worth checking out people!

This place is a new favorite. They have consistently excellent small-batch brews, with new releases every time I come in. Did I mention the delectably sapid food selections? Lamb sloppy-joe for under $10, what!? Chicken poutine, pulled pork gyro, fresh house-made soups...this has to be the most unique menu in town. And the best prices. And for sure the best patio. read more

I'll give it a four based on the fact that I'm pumped to have a new option here in Cape Girardeau. My coconut porter was spot on. I do like a tap room over a microbrewery in some respects. Everything here was better than can be described by a Yelp review. The bartender was welcoming and knowledgeable about all that was served there. We had the fried goat cheese and sweet potatoes to start. 10/10 recommend! Flavor that you would expect from a high end fancy restaurant, but at a very reasonable price and laid back atmosphere. The knockout smash burgers were delicious. Really wanted to try the cookie dough bites for desert but couldn't hold it thanks to the generous portions. Hate that we live 4 hours away because this is a place I'd love to frequent! read more

Came here after a long day on the road from Dallas. Ended up being a fun little restaurant and brewery. Food was very good and the beer selection both on tap and in the cooler were fun to try. One of the coolest places in Cape to relax with a beer is the patio at Ebb & Flow it's well maintained and provides the perfect atmosphere. The beer selection isn't too shabby either, but it's hard to recommend a drink as they rotate the collection often. This place is where you want to be if you're in the Cape area. read more

Great atmosphere and really cool brews! The bartender was amazing also! Oh, and try their pizza!

Wow. Just wow. Definitely in my top 5 of breweries I have been to. The sours are some of the best I have ever had. Crime Scene Beets was unexpectedly delicious. Super friendly staff, and the space itself was eclectic and relaxed. 10/10 HIGHLY recommend!! read more

The sweet potato appetizer is amazing and a must have!! The workers were friendly and provided menu explanations and recommendations. We sat on their outdoor patio and it great.
