I'am very displeased with the delivery service due to the sodas being purposely shaken and ended up making a complete mess. I would have let this go but someone from this restaurant shaked all the sodas and thought this was a funny prank to pull on a party. Food is excellent as well as the service. Friendly staff . The chicken parm dinner is amazing so I the fried calamari. The only thing is the drink selection. I never heard of a place who doesn't have fresh unsweetened iced tea. It's so simple but they only have fountain soda and Snapple. Hope the get the unsweetened tea. I like the place a lot but I really enjoy my tea with a meal so I may just hit the diner Next time. It bothers me to see some of these negative people. Do you do everything perfect in your everyday life. Food can be unpredictable as well. Different cooks or whatever. People who work in restaurants have bad days as well. Today after a wonderful time at the Bayonne Festival, my family and I decided to eat pizza at Pizza Masters, as we occasionally do. I come in the restaurant and sat at one table that seats 4, (for myself and two other adults) and my two children and their two cousins sat at the table next to mine. After about two minutes, the waiter comes up to me and asks me how many people I have. I respond and say, 7. He tells me to come with him and moves me a few tables down to a table that seats only 4 people. He grabs another table that seats 2 and starts to push the tables together. At this moment, I'm very confused because: 1- I'm not sure why I was moved in the first place and 2- I didn't want the kids sitting at the same table as the adults. I wanted them sitting next to us. Assuming that there was a party that needed that table, I said nothing. I walk over to the where my children and their cousins were still sitting to let them know that our table had been moved only to discover that the people that walked in after us were sitting at the very table I was just moved from. I wanted to ask the waiter why this happened but he ignored me and continued his conversation with the family. They were speaking in Spanish, so I am not sure what they were saying, but my request for clarity was ignored. I say all of this to say, I was unaware until today that Pizza Masters does VIP treatment. I walked in the restaurant before the other family, and sat down at the tables that were available. This place has been my favorite pizzaria for the past 10 years! They have the BEST pie in Bayonne (and IMO in jersey), and I always ask for it extra crispy. My wife and I are both professional chefs and are well, PITA's when it comes to food. I have to say the food that we had was not only amazing, but executed perfectly. The pizza is pretty good I can't complain about that but most importantly I wanted to write about COVID-19 safety precautions. The guys making the pizza did not wear gloves and of course that's to be expected. However I don't see them frequently washing their hands and I actually saw one using his cell phone and then going right after to prepare a pizza without washing his hands after touching his cell phone! The other pizza maker scratched his hair/head and continued to touch different ingredients and pizzas. This should be looked into right away because if I noticed it I'm sure other people have noticed it as well. Again the pizza is good they just need to brush up on their sanitary precautions. Thanks for your response Tom, but I think you need to be truthful. I know what I saw. Some of your employees are NOT following covid guidelines. This was my first time ordering from here and most definitely my last... first of all the girl who answered the phone was very abrupt, she rushed me off the phone and didn't ask if I was paying with cash or credit card. It's a local place, mostly cops, elderly people, and regulars. It's a very simple atmosphere, nothing amazing. We sat down, I ordered just a salad with some bread, and a seemingly simple slice of sausage, fresh cherry tomatoes, broccoli raab and garlic....This is now on my list as the top 3 best slices of pizza I've ever had; the broccoli raab was tender, not chewy it broke away once you bit into it, there were huge pieces of roasted garlic and the sausage was definitely high quality, not shop rite brand. The best part was the crust, crunchy with just enough chewy-ness on top. I can't believe how good that slice was, the restaurant was pretty busy the whole time we were there, mostly take out crowd.
