Cheese

Delicious pizza, fast service, and unbeatable prices. Pizza Masters is a humble neighborhood establishment serving up slices that can compete with the heavyweights - Scarrs, Joe's, and Roberta's. The pizza had a great char and aromatic sauce. Incredibly cheesy! The pepperoni rolls were a showstopper (and heart-stopper) -- the acidity from the marinara perfectly cuts through the gooey, scalding mozzarella. The Sicilian slice was not the best. Very doughy with powdery cheese -- similar to Domino's. Stick to the classic thin slices. The cheesecake was disappointing as well: sandy, gritty, and not very sweet or rich. It's Pizza Masters, not Cheesecake Factory. Two slices, two root beers, and a slice of cheesecake only came out to $13 total!

I just got back from a retirement party at pizza master. Lets start off with the food I had the anti-pasta as an appetizer along with a few other people on the table excellent fresh very good quality cold cuts absolutely beautiful Table service excellent no problems no complaints. The service followed direction. They were very good. I can't actually complain. I mean it's a pizza parlor. It's not like I'm going to a five star Michelin friggin restaurant. I asked the server to bring me a merlot wine holy mackerel. This is my new favorite Merlot wine. I will post it. It comes from Chile. I would never imagine that a merlot made this freaking great from Chile. Holy mackerel. Excellent you have to try it if you love Merlot wine I had something simple. I did have muscles. They actually make the marinara sauce, traditional with whole tomatoes. Let me tell you something. I literally ate the marinara sauce like it was a soup. Oh my God I couldn't get enough of it. I'm glad they didn't bring the bread out Because I'm diabetic because I would've sucked up every bit of that freaking marinara sauce but instead, I ate it like soup. Afghani service and the muscles were absolutely amazing. Excellent, can't complain. The rest of the food and everything that they brought absolutely awesome excellent quality food for a pizzeria. This is like it's incredible that it's a pizzeria with good restaurant quality food. That's all I gotta say. Ambience ambience are you gonna eat ambience it's a beautiful place. It's a great place that you can have a nice get together with the family in the private area. I mean, they set up the table perfectly for the family. And through the grapevine, you know I heard how much the bill came through. I got news for you. This is the place to go to if you just wanna have a nice great get together with the family and be affordable for great food if you're looking for some kind of ballroom bullshit that's fine. Go somewhere else but if you're looking for it, just a nice cozy place to have a birthday party or a get together with the family. Let me tell you some you're getting restaurant quality food From this place not just pizza food it is actual great restaurant quality food five stars all across In my opinion with my experience as a international cuisine chef, I have studied for many many years international cuisine and I'm still learning about international cuisine customs traditions I got news for you from my own experience. This place is really great. Any pizzeria that brings out this good awesome amazing restaurant quality food in a pizzeria gets five stars for me And it's very very clean. I look for a lot of things table service I go according to what type of restaurant I go to when it comes to table service OK if you go to a pizzeria, you expect table service for a pizzeria and it was really great. I ain't complain but if I go to a five star Michelin star restaurant listen I expect no mistakes and I expect the highest quality of service because I'm gonna have to pay a good tip for this so I got quality. Am I gonna turn around and expect McDonald's to serve me just like a restaurant does now so I go according to the place type of restaurant that I go to eat and I'll tell you for pizzeria this place goes above and beyond if you wanna have a good party, a nice place to have a get together with family a birthday party something that you don't need a ballroom to celebrate this place is excellent and it's affordable if you can't afford this place I'm sorry don't have a party

Pepperoni knot

Wow, what a great place it was, to get some slices from. Had a plain slice, pepperoni knot, and a grandma slice, which was not the grandma slice I'm used to, but it was a great version. This food was definitely created by masters.

Had a really great friday pizza night with my husband here. Wait service is very nice and attentive. The atmosphere is rustic, modern and warm. The owner was walking around and greeting people. There were other families dining, other people on date night and older folks as well. It is a great everyone's place. $7 glasses of wine, and big pours. Small chefs salad is plenty for 2 people to share and has a lot of fun things on it like roast beef, mozzarella and turkey and pinwheels of delicious ham and cheese. We got a deep dish pizza. 6 slices and we took 2 home. We got it with vodka sauce and chicken. If you are expecting Chicago style, this isn't it. It is more just thicker and fluffier dough. But it's very good. The pizza was crispy on the outside and the chicken was plentiful and juicy. There could have been more vodka sauce on it but that's my only critique. Plenty of melty cheese! We will definitely come back.

Eggplant sandwich
Lynnsey O.

This eggplant sandwich was phenomenal!!!! It had breaded eggplant, fresh mozzarella, roasted red peppers and a side of balsamic glaze, and it was so yummy. The staff warmed it up for me and served it to me at the table which was great. This was under $10 as well. Thank you for lunch, Pizza Masters!

My go to pizza delivery place in bayonne. Never had a problem. Rarely had delivery been longer than 30-45 minutes.

Staff is very professional and friendly, always making sure everyone is having a good time. Honestly, all the food is great here but some of my favorites are definitely the carpaccio and calamari appetizer (the calamari is the BEST I ever had, hands down) and their coffee panacota for dessert is also out of this world, just amazing! If you are a bread lover just know they make their own bread in house. 5 stars always!

For appetizers, we got zucchini chips, fried calamari and mussels. The calamari was fried too hard and it had a very salty, spicy Chilean type sauce over it. The zucchini chips were thinly sliced, lightly battered with Parmesan cheese sprinkled over them. They were decent but nothing to write home about. In fact, after having about six or seven of the zucchini chips I began to experience heartburn from the grease. For entrees, my husband had the chicken parm. He said it was too thick and should have been flattened more before frying. It was also very breaded. My brother-in-law ordered the chicken and waffles and he said the chicken tasted day old so after having a bite of one piece of the chicken he pushed the chicken aside and called it a day. I called the waiter over and informed him about the chicken tasting day old. He didn't try to change it out or take it off the bill or get a manager. He just apologized by saying I'm sorry. My crab Mac and Cheese was decent. It wasn't seasoned the way I would have liked but the huge, plentiful chunks of crab made up for that. I ate a third of my dish and packed the rest for home where I will doctor it up to my taste. I've never been to this particular restaurant before. The only reason we came today is because my brother-in-law was here on business and staying at a hotel in the area.

I was a bit hesitant to try despite the strong positive reviews, because I also read reviews about it being hard to get a table and they can be rude and its a whole thing and blah blah blah. I am glad I didn't listen to those reviews! It was an amazing experience and Angelina and her son were so nice to us. Yes you have to call up a couple of times to make a reservation and put in your food order, but trust me it's worth it. The decor is nothing like any other restaurants, and the whole experience is nothing like another restaurant. The decor is loud, American and flashy, with an undertone of warmth given by the red and Christmas lights strung everywhere. 4th of July meets Christmas meets Election Day, also somehow it evoked a feeling of National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation. Over the bar area a TV was playing the football playoffs and also a radio was playing jazz and swing music. It's literally like going over someone's house. In a really good way, you feel welcomed and taken care of. Angelina's son pours your glass of wine to the brim and refills your sangria at no charge. He even taught us how to eat the stuffed artichoke after he saw us scooping it on our plate. Instead he said just take a leaf off and suck everything out. Which actually made so much sense and made the experience eating the appetizer much better. I never had a stuffed artichoke before so I can't compare it to anything, but it was a really fun experience eating it and was buttery and delicious. Food came out pretty quickly. The artichoke came out probably just 15 minutes after we sat down. The meals seem to range from 20-40 dollars a dish. I assume the prices fluctuate more than your average restaurant. Which is fine to me, food is more expensive nowadays and these portions are huge and delicious. It's family style! The artichoke was $22, the eggplant parm $30, lasagna $38 and the chicken marsala $40. Glass of wine $10, Sangria $13. Cash only I believe. 3 people could probably share one entree and feel content enough to go home. But we got 3 entrees and an appetizer for 4 people. We have dinner for the rest of the week! Prepare to overeat when you come here. The Eggplant parm was stand-out for me. It was my favorite. The sauce was sweet and light, and the eggplant was crispy and flavorful. The lasagna had a different tomato sauce on it, also good. The cheese in the lasagna was really good as well. There was also a side of pasta handed to us, not sure which dish it was supposed to accompany. It also had red sauce on it, but tasted different from the two other red sauces! That's a real level of detail, make 3 different red sauces when you could just use the same. It's just such good quality food. The bread that was brought out was very good as well, soft, - a good dipping bread! Ask for dessert because the Cannoli was delicious! I want to come back and try tiramisu if they have it. We spent 2 hours here. There were only 2 other tables on a Saturday night. I don't think it's as coveted as it used to be, it's easy to call her. Just find it on google maps and press the call button. I called when the place is closed (before 4:30), because I assume she is busy cooking and attending to the guests during dinner time. Then you just reserve a date and time. She messages you the menu. Though for some reason the text never came through on my phone so I called back and asked if she can send it to my husband's phone number. She did, and we got the menu. I called her back up told her our food order and a week later we sat down and enjoyed our delicious meal! This place is the best, and a really great place to go when your new to the town. They have been here all their lives and know everyone. I felt welcomed and now a true member of the Bayonne community. We will definitely be back.

Cozy and definitely feels like an old school Italian restaurant. Servers are welcoming and super friendly. Attentive but not too attentive. We made a reservation by calling, it was busy but there were still a few tables empty on a Saturday night. The bartender greeted us with a big smile. Honestly this place should be busier it's much better than the other Italian restaurants in town. We started off with calamari. $20. Perfect texture, and flavor. Not too salty, and not chewy at all. It was delicious. I got chicken martini off the specials menu, and it was two thin sliced chicken breasts in a lemon caper sauce with tomatoes and artichokes. It was exactly what I wanted and the chicken was soft, moist and delicious. It's a little pricey for the portion I think it was $34 but it wasn't the biggest plate of food. My husband got a pasta dish that he loved, it was homemade stuffed pasta with spinach and cheese. The menu had a lot of creative dishes on there, not all typical Italian dishes you would normally find. Dinner comes with fried polenta and carrots and broccoli which is a nice touch. There is another Italian restaurant in Bayonne that does that, I haven't seen that done before I moved here. I do like it! It's nice that a side like that is complimentary. And the bread is complimentary as well, it's a big baguette and it was super soft and flavorful but crunchy on the outside, very good for free bread! I also liked how they had two sets of forks so you didn't have to keep your appetizer fork for dinner. They also box the food up in the back so you don't have to do it yourself. Excellent service. I would definitely come back here again.
