This place gets 5 from me purely based on 80s/90s nostalgia. They have retained the original decor and are still rocking the old phone your order in style. I remember fighting with my brother on who would get to call. Love the thin crust, tiny pepperoni and unique tomato sauce. Also, best breadsticks! They remind me of a Bavarian pretzel with Italian seasoning and garlic butter. Eating here requires dining I for the whole Stranger Things experience in real time.

Support those that supports our community with wonderful customer service, giving spirit and want to see our children do well we can't thank you enough.

We are Muncie natives, so we know our Pizza King. We have gone to this location twice. The first time we ordered our breadsticks 3/4 baked and with extra dill butter. They came out dark brown and hard as a rock. The pizza was also burnt. We asked them to remake them both and it came out good the next time. The waitress was really nice. Today we ordered and picked up. We had to wait for someone to come and ring us out even though someone was standing at the counter. He said he was "off the clock" and was yelling for someone else to come and ring us out. Again, we ordered 3/4 baked breadsticks with extra dill. We received burnt, dry, hard breadsticks with almost zero dill/butter on them and no dill butter on the side. Once again, the pizza was over cooked but also lacking in everything. Toppings, sauce, etc. it was dry and crunchy. Just frustrating.

I placed a carry out order while sitting in the parking lot. I got bored so I decided to go in, knowing I was way too early. The young woman came up and I said I was early. She brought up my order on the screen and then went to check on the progress. She said about 10 minutes, so I sat in a close booth and browsed the menu. They have daily specials that seemed inexpensive. The order came up and I left. They put the pizza on a cardboard and put it in a big bag. I was able to take a peek and confirm it was the correct pizza, based on other reviews where ppl didn't get the right pizza. Of course, with such easy access I had to try a piece. Incredible and it took me right back to 1983. The sauce seemed to be more sour than back then. But the crust was perfectly crisp and the toppings were plentiful, as you can see in my pic. I grew up in a part of indiana not terribly far from Muncie, and our pizza king is one of the most sacred restaurants in town(Rushville, IN.) it's been locally owned for I'd guess close to 50 years. They have all the "feast" pizza varieties, plus a couple other specialty options, like "the Cowboy," which is double sausage, double pepperoni, double mushroom and extra cheese. It's a nearly 2-inch tall spectacle of a pizza! I will go there to see if their sauce is as sour as this location.

Our service was appropriately paced for the time it takes to make a Chicago deep dish pizza. I liked the TVs they had in the center of our dining area, which had some pre-season football coverage. The booths have taller partitions so it feels more intimate. I also liked the marquee saying "EAT PIZZA". I will certainly follow instructions there! The pizza we got was "The Special": sausage, green pepper, onion, and mushroom. I thought the pizza was fine, my only thing about Chicago style is that the vegetables can't caramelize like they would on a regular pizza. But that's just a personal opinion. I am pleased with the range of mocktail offerings, which are all $7.

No pizza place from my home state can't compare so Giordano's is always something to look forward to during our 4 day visit. Meat and more meat! This was our table's pizza that was split between 4 people. Honestly can't complain, I love all of their pizza but since we only visit once a year, we always order deep dish style. Never fails and always leaves us full! Carnivore? Then you should definitely order this dish! Make sure it's the biggest one too! Calabrian Chili Honey Chicken Wings Ok so I can't be entirely biased with Giordano's. We wanted to try this out since it was a limited chicken wing flavor and honestly it wasn't the best. I mean it's a pizza joint? They specialize in pizza but we were so hungry that we figured to try it out. Hey, if you love chicken wings or just an enthusiast for wings in general, by all means give this one a shot if it's still available! Overall Always excited to come to Indiana cause I KNOW I'll be eating some damn good pizza. Deep dish style isn't for everyone which is nice that they have their Tavern Style and Thin Crust Pizzas. But since Giordano's specializes in deep dish pizza, it's highly recommended to order deep dish style! can't wait to visit again next year and see what new pizza they'll have! And can't forget about the awesome servers doing their best on those busy convention nights! Y'all the real MVP's! Ambiance is warm and inviting with a bit of high noise since it's also got a bar but it never phases me, if anything it's relaxing since I know I'll be indulging into pizza goodness. Just remember to come hungry and you'll guaranteed to leave happy! See you next year Giordano's!

I have to laugh that my first review for this location of Bazbeaux, an Indy pizza icon since 1986,…read morewas actually my 300th Yelp review. Now, I'm over 1800 reviews and Yelp has become a huge part of my life. I was attending a nearby event related to Indy Shorts Film Festival and decided I wanted to visit Mass Avenue a bit once the event was over. This was early afternoon. After looking around a bit, I opted for a long-awaited return to Bazbeaux. Of course, a lot has changed in this area in the last few years. Parking prices are up (way up), though it's pretty plentiful with nearby street parking (metered) and parking along Mass Avenue. You also have a couple nearby parking garage options. Finding an accessible spot is fairly easy - curb cuts remain solid in this area and there continue to be some (but not all) crosswalks with audio. As was true nine years ago, accessibility on Mass Avenue can be challenging. That said, I think it has improved. I entered Bazbeaux and immediately noticed some improvement right away. There are two sides - a dining side, a bar side (with tables), and an aisle you can use for carry-out. The interior is warm, calming, and surprisingly intimate. The bar area is a bit louder, it's a bar area after all, but it's still pretty quiet. Service here remains strong. The hostess offered the bar area or a booth. Tables are not all wheelchair friendly, however, there are quite a few accessible options. My server, Samuel, was friendly and attentive without being overwhelming. He paced my meal nicely - I ordered garlic bread, my usual unsweetened iced tea (I think they still serve Mighty Leaf - an unusual choice that I love). I ordered a small (10") pizza with one-topping (pepperoni). I lingered a little bit, though not excessively so like my last visit. This time around, I was alone and my meal time was more traditional. The prices were definitely higher than last time, however, what price isn't higher than nine years ago? They were on park with the market these days and I had no issues with it - I think my meal came in at about $19 for the pizza, garlic bread, and iced tea (and I did get my always desired refill). Bazbeaux is unique in that every location (Mass Ave, Broad Ripple, Carmel) is located along the Monon Trail. They all have outside dining options, as well. They serve beer and wine, sandwiches, pizza, and more. One thing I have to say - accessibility is improved. I was noticeably bothered by it the last time I was here. This time around, I was comfortable and could easily function (I did not try the bathroom). While I could still see it being a bit difficult when packed, I arrived at an ideal time and was quite comfortable. The food was good, the service was very good, the prices were fair, and the atmosphere was nice and peaceful after a busy morning event. It really hit the spot. So, yeah. Last time around, I gave Bazbeaux a 3-star review. This time, I'm forking over that 4th star.
