Wow! I thought Pizza Inn was long gone. We were cruising through Lancaster, SC, saw the sign and had to stop and check it out. Buffet all day, every day. Great salad bar. Plenty of hot and fresh pizza flowing. The place is quite large, very clean and obviously a local favorite. It was very busy at lunchtime. $9.99 per person including a drink. Pizza was good and just like the last Pizza Inn pizza that I had 30 years ago. Even the music was a throwback to the 80s and 90s. Our waitress kept the table cleaned off and the drink full. I can't believe I'm giving Pizza Inn 4 stars. My husband has always been a fan of Pizza Inn ever since he was younger. He had memories coming here (not to this location). We were in Indian Land shopping and decided to making the extra 20 min drive over to this location. Parking was easy to find and the staff was very friendly when seating us. Our server was great. Very attentive. You can pick a pizza you want to be made and they will serve you a few slices and put the rest on the buffet station. Buffet-salad bar was good and clean. Lots of toppings. Their ranch is good. There is a pasta station-it's ok. The meat sauce hardly had any meat on it and the sauce itself was runny. The pizza station was ok. It was looking a little rough when we first got here I guess because it was slow. But they had a good selection including thin crust. The pizza was overall good and it looked even better when they started to bring out fresh pizza. We paid and were about to leave and my husband made a comment at how good the chocolate chip pizza looked when they were serving it fresh on the buffet. The manager overheard him and offered to give him some to go! So nice!! I don't know if this will ever be my go to but it was a good experience! read more

And even worse they are focused on getting out of the building by a certain time and not taking care of the 4-5 groups of guests that came in. Grabbed a salad with 3 dressing options! Looked at the bar...former Pizza inn cook and later PIzza restaurant manager through college...There are no time markers on the buffet. Pizzas had been sitting under hot lamps for a long time. Looked in the oven several times, and no pies. Finally I think everyone in the restaurant waited until they put pies on the bar. But they only filled half way. After giving up on the buffet I go to use the restroom, but they are already mopping. They come and ask you if you want anything else from the bars... Then the person mopping the public bathrooms takes the mop over to our waitstaffs area.And they inform them that their mop water is ready to use! So yes not only do they make you not want to go there by their service, but they seal the deal by letting me know that they mop the bathrooms first and THEN they use the same mop water to mop the dining room. What else are they doing or what other corners are they cutting to get out of the store on time?! 10 years ago I would say the last good PI is near Camp Tekoa! The manager should be fired for having that many employees on the clock @ closing and not being able to perform like a rock star. Stopped in after church for the buffet. I thought it would be a good choice. I was mistaken. The salad bar was very messy, no pizza out, no pasta just water. The young lady sat up and the floor looked like a war zone. It was very dirty. She bought drinks then didn't come back until she brought the check but there was still no pizza out so we ate salad and left. Very poor service, environment over all was very poor. read more

There is something inherently wrong with the management of a business when they automatically refuse business. I was part of a party of nine wishing to eat at this establishment. It was around 6pm the day before New Year's Eve. They refused our business because they didn't want to open the back room; giving the excuse that they only had 2 waitstaff. While that explanation might seem reasonable, the problem lies in the fact that our party would have eaten off from the buffet. Though waitstaff would be needed to take drink orders and occasional refills, not much actual service would have been needed. One of the waitstaff tried to convince the manager to open the room for our party. That manager refused the request. Not a wise business decision. We just moved to the area and thought we would check Pizza Inn out on the 4th of July. Placed an $80 order using their website, which claimed we could pick up the order in 15 minutes. I arrived at the store 17 minutes later. There was no one in the place and the staff was standing around talking. They claimed to have just received my order and that it would be another 15 minutes until it was ready. I told them to cancel it and they acted as though I were being unreasonable. Don't promise what you can't deliver. Given plenty of other pizza options, they won't get another chance at our family's business soon. Do not order online. read more

Great customer service! Was greeted right away & seated promptly. Waitress(Leslie) took drink order as she seated us. She also asked if we wanted any special pizzas for the buffet. We asked for taco pizza. And we were not disappointed...taco pizza was awesome! (It's not spicy) the way taco pizza should be! Also enjoyed the many other pizzas available. Have been to this Pizza Inn several times now and have always been extremely satisfied with their pizza and their service. They do an excellent job of keeping the buffet and salad bar stocked. They generally put out 6-8 pizzas, a couple of calzones and a dessert pizza. Wednesday is senior day and and kids eat free on Monday. read more

Went to pizza inn in Lancaster today and ordered 4 lg pizzas and 20 bone in wings and paid $75 for my order. Didn't check my order until I got back to Charlotte. The pizzas were so skimpy. They look like they were just thrown together. And the 20 bone in wings I ordered were 20 boneless wings. When my husband called to complain about the wings he was informed all they have are boneless wings. Needless to say I will never order from them again. read more

Today we stopped here on the way home from Myrtle Beach. It was our 1st time (but definitely won't be the last). The Buffett was stocked, the pizza was great and the service was OUTSTANDING!! I ordered a special pizza for the bar and when it came out, the waitress brought me 3 pieces to make sure I got some. I used to love Pizza Inn. I cried when the one in Rock Hill shut down years ago. My dad and I went to Lancaster today after traveling to McBee to be disappointed by the incredibly high prices. We stopped in Lancaster to eat pizza and was so excited!!! I was sooo disappointed. Salad bar was ok, but the sealed cracker packs were stale as were the croutons. If it's old, don't serve it!!! That was a choice. It had nothing to do with the Covid excuse. Now the pizza. It was flacid. Pizza Inn always had the crispy, crackery delicious crust. It was soft even though it had just come out of the oven. The topping were huge slices of bell pepper etc. This told me whoever cut it was lazy. I'm diabetic, so I don't eat sweets; however, I remember that vanilla pudding dessert pizza. My dad went to get dessert and all they had was the sweet brown sugar dessert. Ok. That's fine. I took a tiny bit and it was like chewing brown sugar sand. When my dad took a bite, he grimaced it was so sweet and he's a sweet lover!!! To top it off, we had WATER and it was $18. Really? Placed a order at 5:05 and was told it would take about 30 minutes. Okay no big deal. Go through the drive through which has me sit there for another 20 minutes. By the time I get to the window it's 5:45ish and she says she doesn't have a order for my name and that if I'd like to wait another 7 minutes she can get it together. Absolutely ridiculous service. Booked in advance for birthday party, which turned out other birthday parties that didn't book were allowed to crowd my daughters party, after I simply chased them away by invading their space as they did with my booked party time. Party was booked from 11am to 1pm, they didn't even put pizza on the bar until 11:30, yet they were open for business at 11am, and by 11:30 there were several other patrons, who also wanted pizza, thus paying what I paid for 9 kids to get a few slices of pizza, I could have simply ordered a pizza for each child, For the same price. By noon there was almost no pizza, the place was packed, with 3 birthday parties. And dozens of other patrons, all the specialty pizzas we requested for the party to be on the buffet were scarfed down by everyone who saw the pizzas being brought out. So at 12:30 the other booked party shows up and blocks the doorway of the party room and pizza buffet, they start sitting with my children at the party sneering and scoffing at the noisy fun time my party was having. I quickly forced them from the doorway but walking toward the buffet, they wouldn't move out of my way and sneered at me, a quick Sheepdog WTF look, and a deep growling of me saying MOVE quickly made the tuck their tails, and fall into the nearest corner which allowed my party to have the remaining 30 minutes in peace. Moral of this review is stand your ground, don't let people who have not contributed to our freedoms infringe on yours. I can't say I will ever do the pizza party for my only little girl, unless of course she begs. She had fun with all her life long friends, so I guess that's the reason I am giving 2 stars. read more

I love that they help out the community and allow fundraisers to take place. The food is great. I would recommend it as take out however. The dining room is dated and they overlook some basic cleaning skills. read more
