Blossom Buffet is by far the best daily buffet in the Columbia metropolitan area! There is a vast array of differing ethnic dishes on offer - sushi (mostly rolls, but salmon, flounder, tuna & mackerel sushi nigiri are also available), the usual chinese dishes, stir fry & various american staples - including chips (fries to the locals); the beef stew, which is only available at lunch, is superb - and mashed potatoes, green beans, broccoli & mushrooms are available to make a very hearty meal! As for the dessert offerings, there are at least a dozen, plus ice cream. All in all, excellent value for money, the service is also very friendly & efficient - highly recommended! read more

Food selection was great. This is one of the only places that I have seen baby octopus on the bar. They had just enough spice and were very tender. Wait staff kept our glasses full and table clear of plates. Whenever we started to get low on napkins, more would show up at the table. There were about six different buffet tables with different food on them. The ribs just fell off the bone. It was not super crowded. We went about 3pm which was before the dinner crowd. Some people may think it is over priced, but the drinks were included in the price and large parties have gratuity added in. With tip it was about $25 per person. This is a very casual place which is one of the cleanest buffets that I have seen. Check them out if you like oriental seafood. The salad bar was well stocked and there were vegetables to choose from for those who do not do meat. The frog legs were very tasty. Check them out and enjoy a good meal. Our ROMEO group of 6 went here for the first time today. We've hit four other buffets in the Columbia area and wanted to try this one based on the reviews. We were seated immediately and the waitresses brought out or drink orders. They were very good throughout the whole meal in checking and replenishing our drinks. They had a great variety of food with almost too many types of chicken to mention. I had some nice crisp and meaty chicken wings, fried fish, grilled flounder (which was my favorite). The guys sampled the sweet and sour soup and two had the chef prepare their hibachi chicken and stir fry dishes. Desserts were good but there weren't many chocolate choices... and if any thing was weak it was the desserts. The banana pudding really didn't have bananas in it. They had a good selection of sushi rolls to choose from and a decent salad bar. Mussels, Octopus, shrimp, crab...you name it. I think our price was around $20 for the meal and they add 15% gratuity for parties of 6 or more. We agreed that most of the buffets in town are very comparable. The restaurant was very clean and well laid out. We ended up giving it an aveage of 3.9 for the visit. read more

I typically come here with family if we want something quick and filling (love their mushroom dishes). I wouldn't come here by myself. The service is absolutely fantastic because of how interactive the staff is. The wall decorations also make the restaurant feel like an authentic Chinese restaurant. read more

We would eat here probably three times a year with no problems and dropping 130 bucks at a time too. one day our 8 year old grabbed a tiny foam cup and put some chocolate ice cream in it to eat it in the car and a lil asian lady ran up and tried to take her ice cream, like the ice cream police. she was unhinged over ice cream!! We went on Sunday after church. We arrived around 1:00 "ish." We didn't have to wait at all to get a table. I will say the prices were astounding for lunch time, on the weekend only! I would not return during lunch time on the weekend; weekday yes. My husband frequents here with work associates and they do not pay that rate during the week. For four (2 adults, 15 year old and 11 year old) we paid over $90. Not worth it to me. Dinner - YES. But lunch, nope. Food was ok, hit the spot. Kids didn't really eat much...not $20+ worth. If I took my kids again it would have to be for dinner or a week day lunch. Salad bar, hibachi station, pizza, rolls, all the typical Chinese/asian type food you'd expect, sweets. Plenty of options. The service is always amazing and super friendly from the cashiers to the cooks and the cleaning staff. Good selection of your typical buffet foods. Dinner includes many seafood dishes that were well cooked. Our waitress was sweet and kept our drinks filled. Nothing to complain about, Blossom is one of the better buffets in the Columbia area. My favorite part is the soft serve machine ;) read more

Much better than most, this buffet was super busy and despite that, they kept it well stocked and clean. It is a large restaurant and they have a big set of steam tables with a good variety of the usual Chinese-American options. I was able to make some good choices and that included some decent sushi. I did not spot any disposable gloves but I had brought my own and that meant I wasn't touching the tongs that everyone else was handling. I've been here twice recently. The first time I came midday and it was a pleasant experience. I came alone and was greeted and sat immediately. You pay up front here, even to get your name on the waiting list as an FYI. The food was really good. There were a lot of good options and they had my fave seafood salad. There was a a whole table dedicated to sushi and it was good and tasted fresh. They also have chichi bar where you pick out your ingredients and they cook for you right away. Having had a good experience, I took my mother for Mother's Day. It was a mad house. There were massive lines of people trying to get in to get on their waiting list. It took me 20 min to get on the list. There were two lines and they were working as fast as they could, but it was frustrating when large parties were allowed to come past me to sign in and pay separately bc one person stood in line. Other than that, our server was wonderful and all the service was otherwise fantastic. Despite being insanely busy, the food was never empty. This day they had steaks and more options. That also meant they didn't have some of my faves that day. I'd recommend it, but be prepared that it seems they will be flooded with business on special occasions. read more

There's large selection of food but it's not great, it's what you would expect it to taste like at any other hibachi Japanese restaurant. The food was good but mostly average like other buffets in town. Maybe a little above average. The crawfish was about the best I've had at any restaurant north of La. Some crawfish were tough and dry. The seafood boil was pretty good. The corn was very good. The sushi was just average and a small selection. Service was very good and dinning room nice and clean. They placed us right by their storage area, visible to everyone, with a bucket where they throw away food scraps--it's so dirty. They put boxes on the table where people eat! Blossoms is a delightful place to go to, if you want to eat out. They are open Monday through Sunday: Monday through Friday lunch price is around $17 tax included and it includes a drink(11:00am-3:00pm) after 3:15pm the price for dinner is around $20 tax included and that also includes a drink as well. On Saturday and Sunday the dinner price is around $20, but if you can't eat in, don't worry. Blossoms also offers takeout; you pay for your food per pound.  Blossoms' atmosphere is amazing. The service is quick and they are  very nice. Blossoms has a huge seating area with big,small, and median size tables and booths. Just to give everyone a heads up if your party is bigger than 7 people you pay a 15% gratuity, even if the checks are separate. Blossoms keeps their restaurant very clean and tidy; even the bathrooms are spotless.  In my opinion, all of the food I ate at Blossoms was fresh and delicious. If you are a picky eater, don't worry. They offer a variety of options: American, Italian, Chinese,Sushi,BBQ, Hibachi, Salad, and Dessert. Blossoms does a great job with keeping everything stocked. Their salad bar has a wide range of toppings and dressing, which is really nice. One of my favorite things at Blossoms is the sushi bar; some of the sushi they have I have never ate before, which is nice. For dessert they also offer a wide variety. For example, tea/mouse mini cakes, cookies, banana pudding, ice cream(chocolate or vanilla), but if you are looking for a healthier dessert they do offer fruit and jello. One improvement I would recommend would probably be the Hibachi Bar. In my opinion there could be more of a variety of options on the bar, but cooks are fantastic and friendly.  Even Though, Blossoms is pricey to eat at; they do offer food for all ages( even the picky ones) I would definitely recommend going to Blossoms, because I know that I will be back. read more
