The owner / chef Ryo takes care in what he's making and shows great pride in his finished product and it tastes great too. He gets fish that other restaurants do not have access to or have chosen not to purchase. I have seen flying fish, jellyfish, fresh Cobia, fresh Spanish mackerel, live clams and scallops and other seafood that you cannot obtain anywhere else. If you are looking for the best sushi in the area, you don't need to go anywhere else. You can go anywhere and buy a California roll but that is really not what I would consider sushi that's like going to Ruth Chris steakhouse and ordering a hot hot dog.

I was given chicken nuggets and told they don't have chicken wings... Glad I found their menu online to prove I wasn't crazy. Everything is either overcooked, dry, or super salty. No idea why this place was even packed. Sushi rice was dry. The chicken nugget thing mentioned above was overly dry and salty. Tonkotsu Ramen was overcooked. Either they chose the wrong type of noodle or let it sit forever before serving it. The two slices of meat that came with the ramen was maybe from pork chop meat? Usually it's made with cha shew meat or pork belly. Two super lean and dry slices of meat made the bowl look like a joke. The noodle was salty enough that I don't even want to try the broth. Edamame was okay. Other than the fact that they don't look appetizing, the shell was brownish and many bean pockets (if you know what I was trying to say) were empty, that's probably the best dish on the table. If you want sushi or ramen or anything that's on their menu, do yourself a favor and please try to find it somewhere else.

From the moment we stepped inside, the experience completely shifted. The interior is truly spectacular--quiet, intimate, and thoughtfully designed. The space is petite yet incredibly intentional, and it immediately evokes the feeling of being transported to Japan. While I've never personally been to Japan, this restaurant genuinely took me out of a Western setting and placed me into what felt like a Japanese dining experience. Each table is sectioned off with dividers, which adds a layer of privacy while still maintaining an open, welcoming atmosphere that reminds you that you're still in the United States. It's a perfect balance between intimacy and accessibility, and it contributes greatly to the overall ambiance. I ordered the karaage meal, which came with a cabbage salad and rice. At first, I was concerned it might not be enough food, but it ended up hitting the spot in ways I didn't expect. While I could have eaten more, I was genuinely satisfied and comfortable by the end of the meal, which speaks volumes about the quality and balance of the dish. When placing my order, I also requested soup and mentioned to our server that I had been coughing earlier. Even though I wasn't actively coughing in the restaurant, she went out of her way to bring me hot tea to help soothe my throat. That level of care and attentiveness went well beyond expectations. She was incredibly polite, well-mannered, and made sure we felt genuinely taken care of throughout our visit. The value here is outstanding--not just for the food, but for the service, atmosphere, and overall experience. Everything comes together seamlessly, and it truly feels like a home run. There was no long wait to be seated; we walked in, told them how many people were in our party, and were seated promptly. For dessert, I ordered the matcha cheesecake. I went in with certain expectations based on what I was used to, and while it leaned more toward a New York-style cheesecake flavored with matcha rather than a traditional Japanese-style cheesecake, it was still very enjoyable and well-executed. Overall, everything--from the value and location to the food, service, and atmosphere--was excellent. I would absolutely recommend this place and plan to return the next time I'm back in town. I'm looking forward to trying more items on the menu and bringing more friends along with me. A sincere thank you to the young lady who went above and beyond to ensure we had a wonderful experience.

I really liked the presentation and preparation of the food - 1) They don't overload the sushi with rice. 2) They don't over-bread the tempura items. 3) They don't drown the rolls in sauce. I don't know if things are like that once they get busy, but for a first experience - it was A+. Everything was SUPER tasty and the hostesses were so nice and helpful. I ordered the chicken and shrimp entree with fried rice and vegetables that come with it for myself and the steak and shrimp with fried rice and veggies for myself husband. I love the zucchini at any Japanese restaurant. First, the takeout plates were oversized proportions and I ate three different meals as did my husband. Shrimp was perfect but the chicken pieces were dry, but I ate them regardless. First time my husband remarked his steak was a bit dry also but I told him when he heated up some the next day as usual to my findings that the steak would be more tender after heating in the microwave and it was. Overall, it satisfied my taste for Hibachi and for $33 , the plates were huge and we had 3 meals each so you can't really complain. I do think that the small cups of the white sauce which everyone wants poured over their fried rice is an extra $.50 per cup? You only get 1 cup per plate so an extra $2 for 4 half filled cups for plates so large , I may be picky but seems like you should get minimum 2-3 cups per plate. But no complaints here about the amount of food you get so I'll go back when the urge for hibachi hits again. Young lady at front register was nice and polite and I need to mention my order was $33.55 after getting 4 cups of white sauce and I had $33 cash and she said never mind the $.55 I was digging in my purse, so that was nice. There was only 1 car in front and 1 person who walked in for a pickup order but it was nice and clean and she was very nice. Most people don't even smile or thank you for your business so I appreciate good customer service. I'd give it an 8 out 10 for the huge portion s that honestly could feed four people easily. I will say this sushi was delicious. I liked it. It had a nice texture, great taste and good presentation. I also tried the Rainbow Roll. It's a California roll with tuna, salmon and yellow tail with avocado. As for this, it was just okay. I liked all the ingredients, but the taste was not flattering to me. Again, it was okay. Not bad at all, but it isn't one I would purchase for myself again. I also purchased the edamame.
