We ordered the Salmon Carpaccio to start, but then their Yellowtail Jalapeño came out to our table instead. It was disappointing to see, but then our server came out shortly and apologized. She also made sure to make our appetizer "on the house" for our troubles. This is a gesture I appreciate coming from one service industry gal to another; very professional and hard to find these days. Once the Salmon Carpaccio came out, we were very pleased with it and loved the notes of lemon zest and oil on the salmon sashimi. Next, we were eager to try something new so we asked about the "pressed sushi," on the menu and went with the salmon avocado sushi stack. To be honest, it was okay. It was literally salmon, rice and avocado pressed together and cut into little rectangular pieces. I'll give it to our server though because did tell us that's exactly what it was. Then we ordered the pan fried gyoza dumplings and the Cambodian Roll. The dumplings were disappointing. The flavor was just okay and it felt overpriced. I just know I could get those same dumplings elsewhere for cheaper, or that I would have better luck buying frozen gyoza dumplings and making them myself at home. However, the Cambodian roll was absolutely delicious! Bravo to whoever invented it! All of those flavors, textures and temperatures came together beautifully. It was unique and very satisfying. Lastly, we finished with an ube cheesecake for dessert and it was a perfectly balanced ending to our meal.

My friend spider roll was super fishy. I'm glad we went, but not sure that it would be worth a trip back. I am leaving off the name of the server, because people may need the money, but I am pretty sure that the staff and team know who it is, and the problem can be fixed by servers actually writing down orders, so that mistakes are less common, and staff covering down for others. Now, we only got six, and the portions were tiny. Prices have gone up, but the quality has dropped. We used to be able to ask for refills on our favorites, but today when my husband asked for more pickled bean sprouts, the server refused, saying we had to finish everything else first. That's just rude and unnecessary; we're not wasteful on food. We just simply asked for a refill on a dish that we favored more than the others. The service was terrible. The server never checked on us, and we had to flag her down for a to-go box while she was chatting at another table with her back turned towards us. When it was time to pay, my husband didn't leave a tip due to the poor service, and the server had the audacity to confront him about it.
