L to R: Wild Strawberry Lemonade, Beer (?)

We stopped in here again for dinner mid-week...and it was packed! There was actually a wait at 5:30 pm on a Wednesday! This is somewhat of a loud, honky tonk dive, but I personally love their complimentary bread rolls and their amazing house butter...and they generously load you up with 2 batches! For this, I'm willing to endure the wait, the ugly ambiance, and even the Country music overhead (NOT a fan of this genre). My husband had a generous load of BBQ Ribs, and I had Chicken Caesar Salad. HUGE portions...talk about a value! Technically, this is a 3-star restaurant, but I feel that you always get more than what you pay for...the food is decent (the bread rolls are heavenly!!), and no issues with service either.

Best Server Award goes to Bailee. We had a party of 15 so although we called an hour ahead of time to get put on the waitlist you wait until your entire party arrives before they will officially put you in the queue and ofcourse we had 4 late. We were split between two tables beside each other which was good. Our server Bailee was patient, knew the menu well and fun. It was a very busy night we could tell but she gave us her attention as we asked questions. The food was solid. I always have to get the cactus blossom to share and it never disappoints. There house Italian dressing is delicious with the house salad. Also the rattlesnack bites were good. The rolls and cinnamon honey butter is annoyingly addicting. One got the sirlom steak medium and sadly it was dry but that cut of meat is very lean so be careful getting that cut. The place is large so if you don't have too big a group you should be fine.

This visit fell short of everything from the service to the food. Not being greeted at the front instead I was asked can I help with an attitude ain't it. To start off the visit our server wasted/broke all the drinks at the table. I get that accidents happen but not one manager came over to the table to make sure everyone was alright. My friend on the end of the table got the worst end of it all! Clothes all wet and to top it off she was the birthday girl. So the server suggests that he goes ahead and take our order then go and get more drinks. We all agreed no problem, again we get that things happen, but still no apology from the manager to see if every one was okay. So food starts to come out and some plates were incomplete/missing sides dishes. I asked for my steak to be medium rare and it came out medium and I also asked for marshmallows and not the honey caramel but yet it was still on the both of the marshmallows. Time for checks to come I told the server multiple times what was on my check and yet my check was messed up. At that point I just gave up and paid for what was mine plus extra because he clearly did not understand...... I get that some people have bad nights but it was just bad from the time we sat down.

So good I couldn't even wait to take the picture #sogoood

This place is like my second home. I go here every single Friday after work, clean efficient, great staff and I always get my meal correct the first time I love this place.

Restaurant was packed for dinner. Comfortable atmosphere, good attentive service, extensive food and beverage menu. We went here with our family for dinner. We ordered a blooming onion appetizer, filet, rib eye steaks and a main dish salad and chicken nugets and fries for a child. Food was tasty. Good portions and steaks cooked to order. However I must say even the sides ( fries, vegetables such as our sides of corn, sautéed mushrooms, ) were extremely salty for our tastes, and we couldn't finish them. Although service and menu selection was fine, not sure we would frequently eat here again because of the salty tasting food.

I have been wanting to try this place for several months and luckily happened to be in RH around lunch. The food- I got the Capital Dog and the Fiesta dog. Capital dog is pictured below with the pretzel bun. Fiesta dog is resplendent with corn. Both were delicious. You have to start with the Capital dog. The quality of ingredients was fresh and top quality. The dog had perfect texture, flavor and was well cooked. The Fiesta dog was like a party for the tastebuds. The mixture of sweetness from the corn, savory cheese sauce and onions were punctuated by sharp little bites of heat from sauce or maybe peppers? The Place- looked very professional. Imagine a Dean and DeLuca that specialized in unique sodas, chips and other sundries. There were many items in there that I am confident can not be found anywhere else in NC or SC. I saw some HERR's baby back rib chips that hope to get back to visit. I forgot to get a milkshake but hear they are delicious. I also was dog focused, but the pizza looked good. Parking is available in about 5-6 spaces up front and I think this is more of a carry out place. I spoke to the owner - was very impressed. He is focused on excellence and it shows. He has been awarded a Heinz 'Black Kitchen Initiative' award. The place looked clean and he made me feel welcome! I hope you get to enjoy Surefire, I am definitely headed back to get my Milkshake and Pizza!

So tender, flavorful and juicy. Mac n cheese is a huge hit, super creamy and seasoned. Came back and had the wings with loaded tater tots and both are good hits as well. These guys just know flavor and seasoning. Food is very on point and people that work there are very pleasant and nice. They also have rap snacks and 99c Arizona tea! Must try!

This time, I was happy to see that their menu has changed. Not extensive by any means, but a bit larger than the one I saw on my first visit. The menu also included the Hot Honey Pizza! So I ordered this...and my husband ordered the Caesar Chicken Sando w/ Brussels Sprouts. We shared the foods...and surprisingly, I loved the taste of the Chicken Sando that my husband ordered! Maybe even more than the pizza? The pizza was good though...with a very generous load of crispy pepperoni. It was also enough to feed 2. If I recall, I thought the foods were way too greasy my first time around. This time, it wasn't that bad. I also enjoyed their Mango cocktail. A bit small in portion, but strong and tasty! Service was good too. Despite how busy it was, our waitress did a fine job attending to us. Just as I thought last time, the decor was very cozy...and truly retro, in the most authentic way. I just wished there was some music overhead...that would have really completed the ambiance. In any case, this experience was MUCH better than the last...so here's my review upgrade!

It took a bit from there, but we definitely arrived at a weird time, so that's not a negative. We ordered the cauliflower nugs and edamame as apps and both were spot on. The flavors were great! Loved the sauces and texture of the cauliflower (literally cooked perfectly - crispy but definitely cooked without being mushy - if you order cauliflower you know that I mean here!). The hot honey chicken sandwich was HUGE. The smashburger was delicious. And, the Brussels and fries were perfect sides. This place is legit. The venue is not big, but it's inviting to a trendy crowd. If you need 5 star elegance - skip it. But, if you want great flavors and perfectly cooked food in a fun atmosphere- check this out! Worth it!

We started with the Smoked Maple Old Fashioned and Pineapple Express--they have such a great cocktail menu! My husband ordered the Grit Bowl with creamy pimento cheese, pulled pork, an over-easy egg, and spicy mayo. Talk about comfort food done right! My girlfriend got the Burger, and it was amazing! The combination of pimento cheese and bacon jam was SO good. I went with the Biscuit Bake--creamy sausage gravy, aged cheddar, bacon, and an over-easy egg. Another totally drool-worthy bite! This was not mentioned on the menu or anywhere else. Had I known, I would have requested them to come without it.

I'll start by saying that while we've routinely had delivery from Spice, until this recent visit we had never actually eaten there. Our goal was to enjoy a late afternoon on the rooftop bar. Unfortunately, it was busier than we anticipated and the only open tables were unshaded. No problem, we went back downstairs and helped ourselves to seats at the bar. Our drinks were well-made and thirst-quenching - it was honestly hard to pick the best among the Japanese Old-Fashioned, Asian Pear Martini and Lychee Martini (confession, I'm not a lychee fan but if I was I'd have two of these). By now we've had most of the items on the menu and have never received a bad meal. My favorite Small Plate is the Spicy Tuna Rice Crisps. Fresh tuna served on Japanese style crisped rice cakes with a hint of spicy mayo. I could eat these every week - and yet, we didn't order them this visit. Instead, we had the Roti Canai, edamame, vegan fresh spring rolls and seared scallops. All were devoured, so good! Among the other menu items, my recommendations are the Green Curry and the Short Rib. The rib in particular is fall-off-the-bone tender and served with a flavorful au jus sauce. I was very impressed by the service (especially compared to that of several other restaurants in the area). Our bartender was busy, yet still cheerful and attentive (and she made great drinks), Definitely in my overall Top Five among restaurants in the Fort Mill / Rock Hill area. Highly recommended!

However, this place was honestly quite good, along with excellent service and wonderful decor. Two of us started with some Edamame and Tom Kha Soup, which were both just alright. Where the meal started to shine was they brought the perfectly Seared Scallops w/ Vermicelli. I have been to Michelin starred restaurants that didn't have such a beautiful sear on their scallops. What a tasty treat! As for the entrees, the Braised Beef Short Rib was another spectacular dish. Falling off the bone tender and a rich savory sauce. However, the Bibimbap was nowhere near the quality we have in NYC. I honestly didn't expect to like this restaurant, but I really did enjoy the meal way more than anticipated. I will gladly return for those Seared Scallops and Braised Beef Short Rib again.
