We are here a few weeks ago for a birthday dinner before a performance at Winthrop. The space is not very big but was clean and cozy. Our waitress was great - friendly and professional and offered helpful recommendations. The food was fantastic. Our group had sliders, tacos, and charcuterie pretzel. Definitely check out the secret menu! Everything we had tasted fresh and delicious. And of course, great wine selection. This is a perfect spot for date night or girls night out. The food was impressive. Housemade soup, unique take on a burger, a chicken sandwich and a small charcuterie board were the items we enjoyed. This was such a disappointing experience. 1. Appetizers - the pimento cheese dip was so cold that it was breaking our chips in it. The chips were yellow corn tortilla chips that were not fresh and not home made. The deviled eggs were cold and grainy and sitting in a puddle of water on the plate. 2. The chicken and waffles were choc chip waffles. I mean ok, fine. But the menu did not tell me that. I would have ordered something different. I was expecting a regular waffle. 3. The service was very spotty. In the beginning of the meal, multiple waitresses stopped by to check on us, too much. It was disruptive. And then once our food came, no one checked on us at all. I needed a knife to cut the chicken and waffles and I had to get up and go find a server to get one. This was my second visit and I will not be going back. #DoBetter read more

Every time we come here, it's worse. We used to love this place shortly after it opened. The food quality and service has gone downhill. I've said this in a previous review and I'll say it again, when the owner isn't present, the service and food quality is bad. Today, we were served a moldy charcuterie board with molded olives and grapes. Unacceptable! They were also out of several items on the menu and some of our tried and true favorites were just not up to par. The exact same food item on their menu was 10 times better 6 months ago. Their food quality and skills of their cooks have significantly decreased. I'm sad to say, we won't be coming back, after being long-time regulars. read more

Love this place! It just opened in August and it's such a great place to go when I want a glass of wine and something to eat. The serving sizes are perfect, like large appetizers (the Tuscan platter is definitely my favorite). They have local musicians play live music every weekend and music bingo every Tuesday night! So much fun!! They also just started doing charcuterie classes and wine tastings. I can't wait to sign up!! We were so disappointed in Corks, Cooks, Books today-not in the service- our server, Eliza, was amazing! The food was fantastic as usual. I have gone here often and often bring out of town guests and I have never been disappointed. Today I brought several colleagues to celebrate a friend's upcoming wedding. We wanted something special, not on campus food. We planned to order drinks and food (and did). I brought an outside cake (w plates, forks, knife)and was told we could not have it unless we paid $25 cutting fee. Truly I understand if you are eating at a restaurant and you bring outside food and don't purchase but this was a cake- they don't sell cake. We bought food/drink- $300 worth.I unfortunately had no choice given everyone was on there. I even had to sign a waiver for them to cut a simple cheesecake that I brought. It was unfortunate, Mindy, the owner, explained the "policy"- I don't see it on website but even a nominal surcharge is appropriate- $25?? That's more than many cakes.No one else was in the restaurant except the 7 of us (outside). No exception was made. No thought was given to the customers, just this is our policy. I stayed today but I will not be back and will not recommend but they won't care. Mindy you might want to think about how you treat customers. I have stopped by this place twice in the last week. I Had great food and nice wine. I have sampled the Charcuterie Board, Goat Cheese Flatbread, BBQ meatballs, Brussels Sprouts, and the brownie. All were good and I would order any of them again. The outside patio is awesome in nice weather. Live music last Saturday evening was another plus! Make sure to ask for a rewards card. I am all for the small businesses, but if you want to enjoy it a small business and give them your money, your food needs to taste good, and your customer service needs to be great. First one, and we were directed towards to a high top table, both facing the sun, so whoever sat, One Direction had to have the sun in their eyes for a period of time until the sun sets on the treats the restaurant was empty because they had reserved half of their small establishment for their book club, which I think was more of a drinking club than a book club And I'm besides that they only had maybe two tables that had women who were already two sheets the wind do you think about the food ha God please know what I made a mistake of getting was their shrimp, which, by the way, was not spill properly Trump with to ease Him tasted like stale hotdogs. Yes, I did say hotdogs, my sister got a hamburger I had that had no flavor and I had what you might want to say on the what they say is put into choose you know it was more of a melted cheese that given a minute or two got rubbery they are truffle. Fries were not truffle fries they were potato wedges, with some kind of seasoning on it, that they proclaim to be truffles. The only thing that would give them maybe a possible well this one star was there Keylime cheesecake but again she like cheesecake was probably out of a box that they put into a ceramic cup. I do not recommend this restaurant if you want to spend your money I would recommend going to McDonald's in spending about the same amount of money and probably get a better hamburger and if they have shrimp, you get better shrimp to. read more
