This Pizza Hut location is horrible. The service has always been fine any time I've gone in to pick up a pizza (no delivery out in the sticks where I live). The pizza though is terrible! It wasn't bad when I first started coming to this location but, it's progressively gotten worse each time. Tonight was my 4th time ordering from here (against my better judgement) and I swear there was hardly any toppings whatsoever on our pizzas! I don't get it, are they rationing it out or what? No joke folks, I ordered a mushroom/green olive and a pepperoni/bacon. There was maybe 2 mushrooms and 1 olive slice per each slice of pizza, same with the pepperoni/bacon. Even the crust tasted like straight up cardboard. I'm not sure what's going on with this location but, we won't be ordering from here again! read more

I've had Pizza Hut in the past but it's been a long time so I decided to give them a shot after a 2-3 year hiatus. I ordered online and confirmed carryout because I'm not a delivery type person (the drivers get ripped off). Ordering was on par with the rest of the chain franchise stores online capabilities. They do have a point system in place for loyalty to the franchise. I ordered a local deal which was a large 3 topping pizza for $7.99 and I threw on some cheese sticks cause Pizza Hut has always had my favorite ones. Once I got to the store it seemed they were a bit understaffed as the one person that was cooking and making pizzas was also running the register and handing out orders and taking them. One thing I didnt think was good was having a tv with the people's names on it that their pizza was ready. Anyone could come in and say they are one of those names and grab some free food cause I wasnt asked for identification or an order receipt. Now, quality of food...the cheesesticks were better than they had been years ago but I will dock some points because the marina was soupy, barely would cling on to the cheesesticks. The pizza, once I was ready to grab me a slice, well, it wasnt really cut. I had watched the poor guy doing all.the work prepping the pizzas and i had noticed that it didnt look like he was slicing the pizzas very good, needless to say, my pizza is still one big circular slice. I'm having to recut it as we speak so that I can eat it in individual portions the way it was intended. The only thing good was the Mtn dew. The cookie is cold, the pizza is oily and soggy. When the divery guy came he was pretty nice, but after we opened the pizza, we realized the drizzle wasn't on it. Well I called, and it rang 15 times before they actually answered. Whoever answered it was rude sounding. I just shrugged it off, because he said he would talk to a manager. When the manager came on the phone, he talked very very and very rude. He asked what the phone number was to look up the order. I said hang on just a moment, so I can ask my boyfriend. Instead of waiting, he said "HELLO! I need the phone number attached to the order! Hello!" Then he asked me to repeat the number multiple times, even though I was basically screaming into the phone! Then he said he would remake it and HUNG UP ON ME!! Like what kind of manager are you! I promise, my friends and family will hear about this and never order from this location again. ****UPDATE**** The same delivery guy just back back with the correct pizza. He was very rude and demanding this time. He asked for the wrong pizza back, and was very rude when I told him that my boyfriend ate a couple of pieces, since we waited over an hour. This is the second time I've ordered pizza from them for my lunch break and they've been at least 20 minutes past the estimated delivery time which results in me not getting lunch because I have to go back. This Pizza Hut is, without a doubt, the WORST Pizza Hut I have ever had the misfortune of patronizing and I pray for mercy upon your soul if you ever choose to go there. About two years ago, I had a bad experience. Phoning in an order ahead of time, I placed a carryout order for a single Cavatini Supreme, nothing more, nothing less. The lady on the phone said, "Hold on just a second while I make sure we have that". A moment passed and she returned saying, "No problem, it will be ready in about fifteen minutes". Excited about my upcoming pasta dish, I then proceed to pick up my order when I pull up to the window and am advised that, WHOOPS!!!! Apparently there was no Cavitini Supreme after all! I then drove off without anything, hungry, dumbfounded as to how this could have possibly have happened. Fast forward two years, I had a craving for a Pizza Hut pizza. Against my better judgement, I again placed a carryout order for a simple medium supreme pizza, no extra toppings, no toppings removed, no half and half pizza or any other shenanigans. Along with the pizza, I requested an order of traditional buffalo wings. Again, I was quoted a time of about 15 minutes. Due to unforeseen circumstances I was running late so I rushed to the restaurant and arrived nearly thirty minutes after placing my order. Expecting my food to be cold, I expected the worst. I gave the worker my order information and after taking my money and walking off, she said it would be just a few more minutes on my order. I was baffled. Five minutes passed, then ten minutes. I flagged a worker down and asked them what the issue was. They went to check and said that my pizza had just been put in the oven. I then demanded to see a manager. Another young lady then came over at my request and after explaining what my situation was, I was given a dumb look and I asked for my money back. She then proceeded to hand me my wings which I had forgotten about by this point. I then opened the wings and instead of the traditional wings that I had ordered, they were the breaded, boneless wings. I then asked for my money back.... again..... and the worker said, "Hold on, I need to get a manager". Please, bear in mind that I had already asked to speak to a manager and this worker was brought over upon that request. Finally another young lady came over and handed me my pizza, which after all of this, was actually correct. I told her that I no longer wanted either the pizza or the wings and I wanted my money back. The manager said that she regretted to inform me that she could not give a cash refund. I was seeing red by this point. She said the best she could do was to provide me with a store credit, in which I could place an order at a later time and it would be given to me at no charge. She then proceeded to take my name and I left with the pizza and wrongly prepared hot wings about an hour and fifteen minutes after the story began. A week later, I called and advised them of the situation and requested my free food. I spoke with another "manager" over the phone who said that there was no record of my name being there and I could not have my free meal. This "manager" went so far as to accuse me of trying to "rip off" the restaurant in an indirect manner. Needless to say, I will NEVER go back to this joke of a restaurant. Please, do yourself a favor and avoid this place like plague. Before you label me as a kook who had a couple of bad experiences, perform a quick search on Google for Pizza Hut, Richmond, KY and you will recover other customer reviews who have had similar encounters with this establishment. It took 2 hours for my pizza and drink to arrive to my house the Pizza Hut I ordered from is 0.3 miles away and it's that close it should not take 2 hours for one pizza and one drink to arrive at a house that is 0.3 miles away. I have absolutely nothing positive to say about this Pizza Hut location, or Pizza Hut in general for that matter. I had a horribly disgusting experience (on top of my pervious mediocre experiences). I tried to call and place an order with no luck getting ahold of the store (at 7 p.m. on a Sunday when the Pro Bowl was on). I assumed they were fairly busy and I was in no rush so I went into the store. Upon arriving, there was one person working the entire store, including making the pizzas, taking orders, cutting and boxing as well as accepting payment. I placed my order all the while the phone rang off the hook (no wonder no one answered my earlier phone call). While waiting for my pizza, I observed this employee doing all of this work - and not once seen washing his hands. He handled food, money, boxes, the phone and who knows what else in this store without washing his hands. Then, once my food was ready I asked if employees had called in sick today since he was the only one working. He proceeded to tell me that he sent all of the employees home so that he could make his numbers for the month in order to get his $800 manager bonus. Obviously, I'm going to complete the survey on my receipt. This kind of service is ridiculous and this employee does not deserve to be in a management position since they have absolutely no understanding of customer service. I waited about a week for a response with no word. I then put a review on Pizza Hut's website, stating the issue (limited to 200 words) and that I would like a response by phone. I ended up getting an email saying I would receive a free pizza coupon in the mail. Overall, Pizza Hut's customer service is lacking - and that is putting it nicely. I ordered a pan pizza with pepperoni, something they probably make one or two of a day. Figure it would be hard to get wrong. But the dough was uncooked. Not just a little. I could literally reshape the dough still. Inedible. $10 thrown out the window. And the service was atrocious. I even asked for help, got looked at and ignored 3 separate times even by the manager. If I could have given this review less than 1-Star, I would have. I order my food and was told that delivery would be "30 minutes" I call 45 minutes later to check on my order and was told that someone else's order was across town from me and the driver is on his way. It does not take an hour to get from Pizza Hut to anywhere in Richmond, then to my place on a Saturday afternoon. I called back once my pizza was finally delivered almost an hour later and it was cold. The General Manager (Chris) said that he's sorry that it's cold and did not offer me anything other than an apology for my order. Because I was upset with his "resolution", he decided that me being "disgruntled" is something he doesn't tolerate and that he just got into his shift and said that I'm not welcome to call back to that location again to order food, AND he said "If you are going to be disgruntled I'm just going to hang up right now". This is NOT how you treat customers. I will never go back or call back to this restaurant again. I strongly urge the District Manager to do something about Chris, he does not know the first thing about being a manager, and that's knowing how to deal with customers appropriately. read more
