Not enough meat for the amount of bread and price for the sandwich. Associates are kind and polite.

We frequently order wings from Lawrence Ks Wing Co. Sometimes tots to go with them, but usually…read morejust wings. I see this place as a "we do one thing really well" kinda thing. Wings. If someone is ordering a pizza from someplace, and someone else wants wings with it, then we get them from Lawrence Ks Wing Co. It's just how it is. I have no idea what the place looks like. I've never been to the store personally. I have no idea if the staff is friendly and helpful. I've only ordered online. The only thing I know is that if I want some wings, then they are the go to source... ...unless it's outside their business hours - for instance right now as I write this at lunchtime on a Thursday... dang it! Apparently they are too good for lunch. Most of the time, the wings are perfect. The only complaint we have ever had was once they were a bit dry/overcooked. But we ate them anyway. So yeah. Eat some Lawrence Ks Wing Co wings.

Full stop. Best wings in Lawrence, hands down. Not even close…read more And yet, not even on the radar. But there's a reason for this. This tiny postage stamp of a kitchen is tucked inside the dive bar Lucia downtown on the east side of the street between 10th and 11th. Not particularly a hopping kind of bar, but has a somewhat active live music scene that occurs mostly between Thursday and Saturday nights. So if you're going to base your entire business on one product, you'd better be on your A game all the time, because there's plenty of competition in this college town. These folks are ON it. Mission accomplished. Split a dozen boneless wings, crunch Thai with a friend. Couldn't believe it. An hour or so later I ordered another dozen. Both times we were told "we'll have it in the window in 6 minutes." And, you guessed it, 6 minutes later there they were, with ranch and blue cheese dipping sauces and plenty of napkins. How good are they? If you're calling in delivery (which I observed) or carry-out from that place with the Buffalo logo, please... just stop and reward yourself properly. Now I'm finding out they open specifically for KU basketball games. Talk about the perfect place to watch, because there's lots of space, there's an outdoor area if you wish to escape the dive bar part (which is kind of cool, actually), and plenty of TV screens. Good line-up of beer, full bar, world class wings. What's to not like? So good we plan to make it a destination for dinner this week. You'd walk by the tiny window they have on the street and never give it a second thought, like I did many times. Time to rectify that. These folks deserve our collective business.

Buffet at 6:30 at night on a Friday night was busy but the food on the buffet was old and dried up. Saw them put one fresh thing on the bar the whole time I was there. Most of the food was less than subpar, don't know how they managed to make it flavorless. The "sushi" on the bar was an absolute joke! Had one that had a chunk of cream cheese in the middle of the rice and that was less than enjoyable. I actually couldn't eat most of the food because it literally made my stomach hurt! The only thing that was good was the chocolate pudding but it's pretty hard to mess up something that comes from a can. Not once did anyone come and offer to refill the drinks at our table, although my tea actually was good, I only drank half of it because my stomach was so upset. Was charged $12.95 per person and with the 2 teas was over 31.00 and they didn't even ask how our food was because I think they already know they were terrible. Don't waste your money! It was a horrible experience, I will never return. Some places don't even deserve a second chance and this is one of them. The place as clean at least. Never again!

FRIENDS, if you want to be teleported to South Korea for a meal, this is the place to go. Dining…read morehere instantly brought back memories of my 2024 trip to Seoul. The nostalgia hit me the moment I walked in, it genuinely felt like I was back in Korea, enjoying fried chicken with a cold beer in chilled glasses. From the atmosphere to the food and overall quality, everything felt authentic. We started with the onion rings ($8) with some beer and Diet Coke, followed by 10 garlic soy spicy wings ($12+) and the spicy pork rice topped with a fried egg ($16). The onion rings were perfectly fried, soooooo crispy, perfectly seasoned, and a great way to start the meal. The wings were outstanding and EXACTLY HOW TO GET THEM IN SEOUL: crunchy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and coated in a flavorful garlic soy sauce with just the right amount of heat. The spicy pork rice was rich, savory, and packed with umami and the salad which came with it was extremely refreshing. It didn't taste overly spicy while I was eating it, but I noticed the heat afterward, lol. Overall, it was a great and satisfying meal. The service was excellent, and our server was incredibly kind. She patiently offered thoughtful recommendations, gave us plenty of time to decide, and kept the restaurant clean / managed it while we decided the order. If you are craving authentic Korean fried chicken and spicy bold, umami-packed flavors, this place is absolutely worth a visit.

Ordered the signature 10 piece wings - sweet chili & soy garlic. I thought there was a bit too much sweetness and much chili, but overall the crunch was nice and the chicken was super juicy! Got an avocado salad which was said to have arugula but was a basic lettuce tomato onion salad that wasn't too appetizing. Tried the honey mustard but it was too sweet. Got a teobokki to fill my belly. Ordered spice level 2 since the sweet chili was spice level 1 and not much spice noticed, but the spice level 2 was pretty spicy. The rice cakes were soft and chewy - tasty!

I found that very convenient and much more relaxed than ordering at a counter with a line behind you. We ordered the wing portion of Soy Garlic Chicken and Pork Dumplings. I have never had wings like this before. They were breaded, and just the right amount of saucy. I liked having disposable gloves as an option to handle them, that is a game changer for me. They were very sweet, which I am not the biggest fan of. They did have a decent amount of heat, which I was warned about from other reviews. It was the perfect level of heat for me, I don't know if I would try their spicy version. I thought the Pork Dumplings were the star of the meal. They were large in size and cooked perfectly. They had just the right amount of crunch and filling. The sauce that came with it was also on the sweeter side.

I'm excited just thinking about it. But oh man was I hoping for better. And I think this place could get there, if they can change some things. Joyce and Brandy laid it out well, so I'll just echo some main points: - The food could be better. Apparently it has been before. What I saw felt pretty low effort, the crispiness wasn't there. (South) Korean Fried Chicken is amazing because even with those delicious sauces, the chicken stays crispy. Best of both worlds! These wings were soggy. I didn't feel great after eating the meal. It wasn't ideal. - The service was nonexistent. I came up to the human at the counter, who directed me not to talk to her but to put in my order on the screen to the side. I hate these. I hate them so much. The UX on the terminal was clunky, the navigation in particular was so bad that there were whole sections of the menu that seemed to be missing. I now know to swipe left on the headers to scroll right to a second page of root-level categories, but be honest, just reading that in a sentence is confusing and annoying. Some people may like kiosks. That's fine! But mandating them is awkward and obnoxious. - I'm still on the service. There's a big menu. There are paper menus. There are little signs advertising fun looking items. I already know what I want. It is so much easier and more enjoyable to order with a real human and get their help. Why put the added friction of learning a clunky interface? An employee would be fluent in the system even if it's bad. And if my case is any indication, it's not helping their sales. I would totally have ordered more dishes if I'd known that was an option. It just looked like they were out so it wasn't available. - After putting in the order, I was prompted for a tip for the service. Which just felt like a coup de grace to my psyche. - It felt like there was no heart here. That's probably an ownership issue. I'm sympathetic to a point, it's not easy in general and there's a lot of pressure to cut costs (especially with the tariff arsonist disrupting supply chains). But the vibe here was dismal, you could feel it in the food and the staff. The space itself seems set up well to have large groups and good times. Could be a fun spot. But right now, the impression I get is that aside from the wings the kitchen does a lot of prepackaged instant food. So I'm not sure what they're trying to be - a decent wing place, or more of a fast-food/gas station type of spot. A vending machine with a deep fryer. Like I said before, this place has potential to be great if they can change some things. They're just going to have to want to. I'm rooting for them.
