I believe this place had closed around COVID and has now reappeared at the same location. I liked it fine back then but the pizza we received a few days ago was next level stuff. Generous cheese and topings, intense but excellent sauce. We are ordering again tonight. I don't know about service quality or ambiance as we've only ordered for delivery, but it was quick and pizza was hot when we received it. I will say the bread sticks need some work in our opinion. They lacked flavor and we weren't wild about the texture. I have not dropped a star for this because we simply didn't order those this time and the pizza more than made up for our opinion of the bread. Besides, others might like them. Ordered delivery and came on time. Hot, fresh, and very tasty. Overall very satisfied with my experience and pizza quality. It is a bit pricey, especially with delivery service fees. However, that is to be expected if you want better quality pizza than Pizza Hut or Domino's. Would definitely order from here again. read more

I've always been a fan of Waldo pizza in the Kansas City and we'd always go have their lunch buffet. I was happy they opened another location close to our house. Although I've not been to the place but ordered through DoorDash. I called them to make some changes and they're nice to accommodate my order that tells a lot about the service. We ordered garlic bread and white chicken pizza. Both of them were good. But I felt they could use more garlic on the garlic bread and also the pizza would've been in the oven for another minute may be, because it tasted a little dough'y and I felt the Alfredo sauce was too less on the pizza. I was driving around the place and visited the restaurant and it looks neat and has a great ambiance. Much waited pizza place in the South OP! Must try. read more

I've had Waldo's Pizza before at the Original Waldo KC location, and it was awesome! Now they have one inside the Cosentinos Overland Park Location. I ordered a box of Philly Cheesesteak and Margherita Pizza! Both pizzas were good! You can order and do your grocery shopping while you wait which is convenient! Im somewhat torn in my review rating, pizza was tasty but I literally could have eaten the large thin crust myself. It was like a thin cracker and the pizza box weighed more than the pizza. Not kidding. The worst part it was $30 for a vegan pizza! It should have been about $8. We had to go out to get dinner after eating what we thought would be a pizza dinner but ended up being an appetizer! Low rating just for the price and size, it really tasted good. I have been to Waldo Pizza Express twice now. Both times I just walked in to order and got groceries as I waited. I attempted to order online, but it seems there have been issues with online ordering l from what one of the employees stated. I could not get it to set to the express location as it was defaulted to the other location. Anyway, walk in ordering was easy and about a 20 minute wait each time. Both times I ordered a pepperoni pizza. The first time the pizza was cooked perfectly. The second time it was a bit doughy and undercooked. I felt it probably could've used a couple more minutes in the oven. I also ordered the garlic cheese bread. I did not taste any garlic. It seemed to be just plain cheese bread which was a bit of a let down. Overall, I do enjoy the pizza. I also like that it's local and inside Cosentino's just down the street from me. I liked the delicious pizza, the many crust and topping options and the fast, efficient, laid-back service at this new express location inside Cosentino's Market. My baked 10" pizza on hand-tossed crust with one standard topping ($10.85) was ready 15 minutes after I ordered at the counter. The one employee was a great multi-tasker - taking orders, answering questions, building pizzas and baking pizzas. My pizza tasted great, with delicious cheese, a chewy crust that was perfectly baked and a little crunchy on the edges, a tasty sauce and a fair number of toppings. This express location offers build-your-own and specialty pizzas with four crust options - Waldo traditional hand tossed, St. Louis style thin crust, cauliflower and gluten-free. You can get your pizzas baked or take & bake. I also noticed a nearby dining area. I didn't see any specials, and the price was higher than take-out specials at the major pizza chains, but the pizza was pretty darn good. Very nice! read more

I love Waldo Pizza, and was excited to see one open in South OP. The pizza is amazing, but it is very pricey. Even compared to something like a Minsky's, the prices here are $2-3 per pie more than them. Compared to a relative newcomer to Johnson County like Glory Days, the prices are $4-5 higher. $20 for my 10" pizza is pretty steep, especially since this location is in a grocery store and I can get a similar sized pizza in the frozen section for much less. This isn't meant as an insult to the fresh handmade pizzas Waldo is offering, but there are much cheaper options a few steps away. I like the Screamin' Sicilian Pizza Company pizzas, and for a premium frozen pizza like that, they are $7. Gone are the days of going to Waldo Pizza and getting the "poor man special" of a cheese pizza and beer for $8 or getting the all you can eat buffet for $7. Those days don't feel like that long ago. Maybe the last ten years? I can't believe its been that long since I had Waldo Pizza. Sticker shock aside, the pizza I had at Waldo Pizza was amazing. The ingredients were premium, the crust was amazing, and I really enjoyed the sauce. I had the Choice Cut pizza. I really enjoyed seeing things like Scimeca's sausage on my pizza. I don't know if I would seek this out over a Minsky's or Glory Days at this price point, but it was delicious and premium. This was my first time eating Waldo Pizza at this location. (Inside the grocery store Cosentino's) We got the 14" pepperoni hand tossed pizza. Staff was super friendly and it only took 10 minutes for the pizza to be ready. The Pizza was still hot when we got back home. The pizza was great, loved the cheese and the crust. I stopped by because I had heard great things about Waldo Pizza. I stayed simple medium pepperoni pizza and garlic cheesy bread. Let's start with the pizza, I enjoyed the crust but thought the sauce was just okay. The garlic cheesy bread is a mega let down, no garlic at all and the cheese taste like pre shredded Colby Jack from Kraft melted in a microwave by your younger sibling from when you were kids and didn't know how to cook. Personally for nearly $30 I won't be back. I'll stick to Minskey's (for an expensive option) or Pizza Shuttle (for my cheaper option). We typically love Waldo Pizza!! However, tonight was a huge disappointment and expensive at that!! We ordered 2 pizzas that were both well undercooked and still doughy. We also ordered the cheese crust and when I started to eat my 2nd slice, I got a huge long hair in my mouth that pulled out of the slice!!! The guy cooking the pizzas tonight had long hair barely pulled back! It was DISGUSTING and my gag reflex kicked into overdrive. I was done eating at that point!! It also didn't seem to have any garlic butter on it like the main location. Our bill was $53 and we didn't even finish 1 pizza because of the quality.
