Fresh authentic tacos. Golden crisp quesadillas were a favorite. So flavorful! Super friendly and fast. Can't wait to go back!

I go to Carmen's quite regularly and love the owner & the food. Today, I got a taco platter (3 tacos, rice & beans), a chicken quesadilla, a large guacamole, & chips. I asked how many salsa's would come with my order because the last time I ordered, there simply wasn't enough provided to cover our meals. I was told 2 (to go ramekins, 1.75 oz). TWO for three tacos, a quesadilla and large guacamole. I asked for two more and was charged $.50 for them. I understand it's only .50 cents, but it seems like a poor place to up charge your customers. Just my opinion. Additionally, their "large" guacamole is not large. Carmen's, did you change the size of the large guacamole? I've only ordered it while eating in & the portion when ordering to go seems significantly smaller, but I could be wrong. Side note- Their chips are unbelievably good. Homemade. You can order large or regular size. The large will feed 20+ people. This review would be 5 star all the way if this had not happened. Salsa should be provided in my opinion 4 total for the meals (2 per meal) and maybe, 1 for the guacamole. This review is primarily to let people know so that they can order extra salsa. Bring your change!

After reading all the wonderful reviews we gave it a shot this morning for breakfast! A Saturday morning at 10 am - maybe had to wait in line for 3 minutes which was just enough time to look over the menu! Great breakfast selection - fast service - came out hot - customer service was very friendly! I ordered the chorizo quesadilla (very tasty) Hubs ordered the chorizo breakfast burrito, a soft sausage taco and a soft bacon taco for us to try. I think out of all 4 items the quesadilla was the best, we both weren't fans of the bacon taco, sausage taco was good but probably wouldn't order that one on its own - and hubs said the burrito was good but he liked the quesadilla better since it was grilled and had more cheese taste to it. Over all, a very cute friendly place! Glad we came in to try it today! Will definitely be back to try out lunch soon!

I got a burrito with zesty chicken, Carnitas stuffed with Chara beans, Mexican rice and your traditional herbs and veggies for $10 with a side of refried beans for an extra $2.79 (I used my own plating for this post). Everything tasted fine , but I will say there was more rice than protein this time around and they were a little chintzy on the amount of refried beans. I was expecting two or three times as much for a full side instead of the lil' souffles worth. Next time I'll probably skip the burrito, kick the beans to the curb and stick with their excellent empanadas or flautas. Note: if you have time to dine in.... they should still have a cool little robot that serves your drinks... The robot along with the staff have always been very nice.

The empanadas were good, you get 3, only downside was it was a little plain and would benefit from cheese and some seasoning for the chicken. Everything is customizable which was nice. The burrito was huge and tasty. The rice bowl was also a big serving and was tasty as well. The chicken in the bowl was seasoned and good! Their chile verde has been the best I've ever had. Staff was kind, building was very clean! They have an option to order online through a QR code and you put in the table number. Will definitely be coming back!

Your bowl of chips is rarely empty for long (especially for a glutton like me) and meals are delivered hot & ready. The food is good, maybe not great. But it's not far from great and if you ordered something that would be delivered hot, then you can be sure that it will be served VERY hot. A plate of carnitas runs about $16, comes with tortillas, and is served very hot. K Machos makes a sensational traditional carnitas plate, and this is one of those top shelf items to try. If you want a taco salad or standard TexMex plate, then you get the good level. K Machos has a great drink menu and great drink specials. It's a good atmosphere! I suppose I should talk more about the food. Again, never a bad experience really. I get one of two things- the steak fajitas, which are good but not incredibly memorable- or the divine chicken cream cheese enchilada. I haven't been able to find it's like anywhere. I lived in Texas for three years and I LONGED for my cream cheese chicken enchiladas. The sauce, oh the sauce..... I always get extra, both for the dish itself and to dip my chips in. I will say that the only downside is doing to go or a call in order.... It is not exactly uncommon to find that an extra sauce is missing. Or, for example, if you don't specify that you want the free chips and salsa, it may not be in there. Just check the bag before you leave, that's all I'm saying.
