Pizza Hut is a multinational pizza chain that beganas a single location founded in in Wichita, Kansas by Dan and Frank Carney back in 1958. In the ensuing sixty plus years, Pizza Hut has become a global business. All in all, not too shabby and something that Kansas should be proud of. It can rank right up there with the fact that Dorothy after visiting the wondrous Land of Oz just wanted to return home to Kansas. I consider these pizza chains to be akin to the fast food version of pizza. I mean that they provide a reasonable facsimile of pizza, but miss the little points that make pizza such a culinary wonder and instead sacrifice that for an attempt at consistency across their chains and offer a product that people will still buy even.though they can probably get better at an independent pizzeria. This particular location is in the heart of Avalon Park and have several pizzerias in the area, but this location has survived that and remain a viable business in the neighborhood. All in all, I will give this particular location three stars. read more

Yesterday, I redeemed a free personal pan pizza for my son to school that he earned through school. There were no strings attached I was able to pick up the pizza on time, no waiting. It was hot and ready when I got there. I'm pretty sure this pizza break can be credited for keeping my son from complaining about all the chores I had him doing yesterday. So thank you to the school and Pizza Hut for that! ;) Being a small pan pizza and the fact I don't eat dairy means I didn't try it, but my son enjoyed it. read more

I order from this pizza hut regularly and the staff is always friendly, food is always good, and I keep coming back for more. This was a wing only order as I had a $10 off $20 from a previous order. We also order pizzas, pzones, etc. from here and the family always loves it. Their wings can get expensive and I rarely order without a coupon. The nice thing is their wings are large! Very meaty and filling. I've ordered them many times and are consistently large and delicious. Here's what I got this time. Spicy Garlic - This is my favorite sauce from the Hut as it's flavorful and not too spicy. Can get soggy if you leave it sit too long so eat this first! Lemon Pepper - Great coverage on the seasoning and the dry rub wings stay crispy longer! Cajun Dry Rub - My favorite dry rub. These also stay crispy and are awesome dipped in the leftover spicy garlic sauce. With this order, I'll probably get another survey for $10 off $20 and the cycle continues! Keep your eye out for their emails and when they have 50% off menu price pizzas, get a bunch of personal pan pizzas for the family! Up to 3 toppings are included and everyone can build what they want! No arguing! We end up with like 7 pizzas for just over $15. read more

I haven't had Pizza Hut in a very long time. I always liked them. So I don't know if it's just this location or overall but this pan pizza was terrible. The crust was doughy and not enough toppings. Maybe I'll try a regular crust pizza next time. The medium boneless wings were okay. An the delivery was prompt. I'll give them one more shot and update the review if my opinion changes. Update: ordered a regular pie and it was ok. Crust was much better than the deep dish. They barely put any sauce on their pizza so order extra. And the large pizza is TINY! Got the boneless wings with hot buffalo and man it was hot! Not insane but pretty good. Too bad the chicken itself is meh. Probably done with the Hut. read more

Terrible experience at this location. Set up an online order for pick up. Showed up at the time it was supposed to be ready. Waited 15 minutes in the store until finally someone said they "screwed up the order" and they have to restart it. It will take 8-10 minutes. 15 minutes later, we ask again "when's it going to be ready". Some kid working there said "we're busy" and walks away. Finally after another 8 minutes of waiting - total of 40ish minutes we demand a refund and are sick of the terrible customer service. About 10 people had come and picked up their order and left while waiting. There was a stand in GM, Ryan, also didn't care and said he couldn't issue a refund because he wasn't the GM of the store and we have to call tomorrow to get a refund. This location is getting worse. Not sure if there is new management or if the management is getting lazy but the reviews are starting to speak for themselves. I just ordered 2 pizzas and cheese bread and they were not very good. The one large pizza they made right was good but the second Pizza the crust was wrong and the cheese bread was burnt and nasty. Almost like they had old stuff out and re cooked it then burnt it. Nothing like the pictures on line or when I was a manager at a different location years ago. I did call to ask questions about it and the girl who answered the phone was careless about it. They just did not care, nor fix it. I hate it say it but Pizza Hut was much better when it was corporate owned over franchised as these people just want a check they don't care about building a good business and even getting customers back for more. read more

This Pizza Hut location is pick up or delivery only. Conveniently located near Avalon town park. Since I live just down the street I've ordered for pick up a few times. The staff who takes my order over the phone has always been friendly. Once they have you in the system they can pull up your name and last order by your phone number and will ask if that is what you want to order again. In my case it usually is, so I find that a nice convenient factor of knowing your customers. I like to get the thin crust with chicken and onions, sometimes I'll add other toppings like green peppers. I like how the thin crust isn't greasy and chicken isn't over cooked. This pizza tastes great as left overs. Even during their busy hours on the weekends the wait time to pick up once you place your order is ~15 minutes. read more

Placed an order for delivery. Ordered 24 traditional wings (naked) and a bottle of Diet Mt. Dew. Nearly an hour and 15 pass before i receive my food. I pay, tip and take the food inside. Noticed the bottle was not Diet but regular Mt. Dew. I run out and catch the delivery guy and tell him I got the wrong Type of Mt. Dew. He responds by saying sorry, call in and they will credit it back. (I guess my desire to have a Diet Mt. Dew no longer matters) Call into Pizza Hut and after explaining the situation I am for my name multiple times. Then told they do not carry Diet Mt. Dew (even though it is on their site and on my receipt) he now says I will give you a store credit. I say no refund my card. He says he can't so he gets his manager on the line. She greets me with who is this and what is the problem. Now I have to repeat the whole situation again. She agrees to refund the amount but she needs the credit card to do so. Keep in mind this is all for $1.49! I provide it to her and after having to repeat the multiple times I ask for her regional manager's name. She states she is unable to provide that information. By far the worst service ever!!! Katrina is the manager and provided the worst service! I had ordered from Waterford they had the mixed the order up. Come to find out a hour later they couldn't deliver so they transferred me to Katrina to take my order. I explained my issue of waiting 2 hours and she pretty much said it wasn't her problem and told me that she needed to place me on hold because she had other customers. If you have people with poor skills managing your store, do not expect me to ever order again. She needs to be held accountable for her poor customer service ! I was in California ordering for my 11 year of niece! Understand how frustrating it was to get this figured out. At the end Waterford had me to pick the pizza up It was delivery and I had to wait 2 hours and still have someone go pick it up for her. She does not deserve to be managing ! read more

Horrible service!!!!! Ordered and got a confirmation email with my correct address and was told it would be delivered in 1hr. Two hrs later and still waiting, called and they stated they had my old address!!! Really?! An address that's is 50 miles away mind you and my email confirmation had the correct address! Hmmmm!! So this review is coming as I am sitting down I the pizza hut place now. So I want to order the special for which is $7.99 large two topping pizza. I called this particular one trying to order it and the lady comes on the phone first with a nice greeting and then after that she has this attitude and awful customer service skills!! After I give her the order, she asks me my address and when I tell her what it is, she gives me the most nasty responses and attitude like told her the wrong thing!! She cuts me off abruptly and talks to me with no respect at all..then she swiftly transfers me over to another pizza hut which is closer but the manner in which she did it was so disrespectful and truly a crying shame!! So I decided to come in after speaking with the pizza hut which their delivery time would take about 70mins (1hr 10min). Once again I get into the pizza hut and it's the same woman with the same attitude again!! So I ask her about the getting the special and she says in her attitude tone " It's all online. It's all online. I don't know if you have a phone or not but you can order online. So i sat down and just shook my head in disgust. I just got my pizza and she was semi better because it was tone and it was time to pay...what a shame for such a nice establishment in a nice area to have someone like that on the phone, but more importantly in the front to meet and greet customers!!! read more

Today I had the worst customer service from what was supposed to be the "general manager" I got a wrong order 30 minutes late. When I called she was completely unapologetic and tried to blame her staff instead of taking control of her store. You could tell she has no training. 3 times I tried to explain to her why I was upset by her attitude towards her employees and she kept giving me excuses and not taking ownership. The Pizza Hut in Avalon Park (Orlando, Florida) really lacks customer service. I ordered 15 pizzas on a Monday for an athletic event on Thursday (3 days in advance) and told them exactly what time the pizzas were needed by. I even had to call back on Wednesday and pay with my own personal credit card because they would not accept a school check. On Thursday, I waited until 4:40PM to call them. I have 50 plus athletes waiting and wanting to eat. I got a hold of the manager and all she could do was say I am sorry and we got other orders ahead of yours that had to go out. After we went round and round, she HUNG UP ON ME. How professional is that? I never once used profanity. I called her back and again she kept giving me more excuses, etc. Finally I said why couldn't you have called me to let me know that your delivery was going to be late??? She said that she didn't even have time to call me. Really, you don't have time to call a customer to let them know that the pizzas that were ordered 3 days ago are going to be 30 minutes late. She still never gave me any kind of compensation. So I will never use Pizza Hut again in Avalon Park and I will be sure to let every teacher wanting to order pizza for their celebrations to think twice. read more
