My first experience with this place was through Grub Hub, and boy did Grub Hub drop the ball,…read morethough it was a blessing for The Burger Bar, as their Customer Service shined through. When I placed my order through Grub Hub for the Danny's Burger, Garlic and Herb Fries and a Side Salad, Grub Hub gave us the run around, saying they had a driver or it was on its way, when 2.5 hours later, neither was true. This is where The Burger Bar shined, as not only were they in constant contact with me, but they continued to try and get things straightened out with Grub Hub for me. They even called to let me know that they threw out the initial order and would make an order to go as soon as the driver arrived. Around the 2-hour mark of waiting and being disappointed, I called Wegmans and told them that they should just cancel my order because Grub Hub was being sorely unreliable. I then said how disappointed I was, as I was so hungry and looking forward to the food. The gentleman on the phone then confirmed that I still had wanted the order, and when I said I would have loved it even still, he said "I'll make it now and drive it out to you myself." WHAAAAT?! That's exactly what happened, and the food was fresh and hot when it arrived!! I even offered him a tip, and he politely refused and said he just wanted to make a customer happy. The food was, of course, delicious, and I have ordered here a few times since (fortunately Grub Hub got better after that initial experience), but it's the Customer Service that really made this experience a 5 star!! UPDATE 12/9/19: If I could give this place 10 stars, I would. I sent in a request to have a burger made plain, and explained that it was an order for my dog, who was to be put to sleep a few hours later. I explained that I understood it was a weird request, but was very thankful if they could do it. They not only delivered the request, but when I opened the bag, I saw they had included an extra burger patty and a pint of vanilla ice cream for him. I've never seen my dog eat anything down like he did this. He had the best last meal of his life, and a million thank you's to you all here for not only making Benny happy in his last moments, but truly touching my heart and making me happy as well. Forever a loyal customer to not only Wegmans, but to Wegmans in Dewitt and The Burger Bar. They gave a glimmer of sunshine to me on an otherwise dark day.

French fries are good and crispy. They always provide more than enough ketchup. Folks at pick-up counter are always friendly and helpful. This is one of the difficulties in giving a single score as it often depends on what you're doing/buying. For Wegmans Order-To-Go I'd give 4 stars, 5 recently, although in the past I had trouble with their drive-up(that might have improved since). As for their counter service I'd give 2 stars. Last time we tried it, there was only one person in front of us, but still took around 5-10 minutes to place an order as there was only one person behind the counter but she was busy making milk shakes and drawing beer then trying to wait on customers in between. Of course I did not complain to her as it is not Her fault (rarely is- only lazy people take things like this out on the hourly employees). The fountain is gone so you have to bring a drink with you from the market. Otherwise tables are usually clean and conformable as are the bathroom facilities + there is a family/unisex bathroom(but only one in each area).

We came with a group of 8, we were sat with a table of 5, spanning 2 hibachi grills (they seat 8 each grill) because apparently they were running behind and seemed to be short staffed. The person taking our orders was SO short with us, like zero pleasantries, drill Sargent taking orders that we didn't have a second to ask for gyoza for an appetizer, and our friend who wanted to order sake bombs was denied as well. So odd because we were the last table they took for the night (7p reservation) so there was no rush behind us. Food was fine, I think the portions decreased some over time but whatever. The bill came, they tacked on a 20% bill, I'm going to assume because we were a party of 8, but then the receipt also recommended an additional 20% tip which our friend fell for and they never leveled this. Finally as we're finishing our last bites, they came to clean the grill with lemon juice resulting in this burnt-smelling lemon juice...it was putrid and just a slap in gee face following that whole experience.

But, the menu I was looking at online wasn't accurate, so I was only able to order two dishes. Even so, I am not mad about it. First, when we went in to get our order, the lady helping us was the same lady who took our phone order. She somehow remembered us and apologized for the wrong menu being on Google. Pro tip: their most up-to-date menu is on Facebook. I then spent a full 7 minutes salivating during the car ride home because the food smelled so amazing. I ordered the medium combination with cod, yellow rice, and beans. The cod had a slight fishyness to it which married well with the rice and beans. The fish was cooked a little on the drier side which works well with the entire meal, most especially the very saucy beans. I would absolutely get this again. The medium pepper steak combination was delish and I could really taste the adobo flavor. The texture was perfectly well-done. The medium size combination dishes are YUGE and will probably provide us with two meals.
