This Pizza Hut has been in the same location for many years. The building is old. The owner did a remodel several years ago but kept the inside dark and depressing like pizza huts are. I go inside and sit down for a meal and leave thinking I need depression counseling because of the atmosphere. My waitress was awesome though. A young lady with short black hair and she kept a check on me and her other customers. I must say she did an awesome job. I ordered a small personal pizza with cheese sticks and sauce. I love the Huts personal pan pizza but this one wasn't so good. The pizza dough wasn't completely cooked regardless of the cheese being melted on top. The restaurant was busy so I think the cook rushed my pizza out. The cheese sticks were great. The Pizza Hut owners as a whole need to realize the dark carpet and walls are depressing. The company needs an interior design image change and I think it would draw better business. Just my opinion though. read more

Going into this Pizza Hut is depressing. The carpet and walls are dark. Felt like walking into a dungeon. The food was good and cooked well. There was one waitress and she rarely checked on me for refills and it was only myself and one other couple. I had to get her attention because she kept pulling out her cellphone. Basic dated Pizza Hut in a town without alot of better food options. We were traveling to Florida and stopped here to break up our ride. It wasn't our first choice but after exploring the other options in the area it quickly became the only choice. Staff were goofing off, but there weren't any customers either. I did see one clean a few tables. We ordered our pizza to go, doing a half and half on a large which they did get right. Upon request they did provide us napkins and plates since we were headed to an airbnb. Pizza was ok, nothing wrong with it but not superior like the way Pizza Hut was in the late 80's, but perhaps my perception of what's good just changed with age. read more

We ordered the medium bbq beef pizza and bread sticks, which cost $24.99. The pizza had hardly any beef on the slices at all. Maybe one bite worth of beef. And for what we paid for this pizza that wasn't fair. I could of paid less at Dominoes pizza around the corner and got a tastier pizza for sure. I love Pizza Hut, but this store is the most awful Pizza Hut I have EVER experienced. The customer service is so bad, you have to suggest to the servers what needs to happen with your service. If I added up all the times they have messed up my order this review would go on for pages. Once I called in an order, waited the thirty suggested minutes, walked in and they didn't have my order AT ALL. Why this location has not been scrubbed by corporate I have no idea. The staff needs to be completely replaced and people who are properly trained need to be put in the store, even if they have to be shipped in from another location. Took advantage of the $10 large any way you want it, and it didn't disappoint. Essentially ordered a meat lovers with mushrooms and extra sauce and cheese which turned out to be $11 somehow, but it was cooked perfectly. Pan variety, which is the only way to order from pizza hut. Since this is PIZZA hut, my review is for the pizza. I haven't tried any of the pasta or desserts. I have, however, tried their wings. Man oh man, what a disgrace. Have you ever had a bag of the frozen Tyson Buffalo Wings from the grocery store? Take that flavor (or lack thereof), and combine it with 1/3 the amount of meat, and that's what you've got, here. A total fail. This is NOT a WingStreet location, keep in mind, so that could be one reason. Do NOT order wings here!! There is a buffet, altho I do not know the days/hours for it. It's also a dine-in location, and I've had one of the best pan pizzas EVER while dining in one evening within the past few months here. Pizza is good, but don't rely on them ever to be on time. Every time I order it's a new story. Their online ordering is miles behind Domino's and the time it says the pizza will be ready is never accurate. At the end of the day, if Domino's could do stuffed crust, I'd never come here. read more

I eat here at least once a week as a treat to me. Always order the personal pan with bread sticks and a drink. Today, I found out the personal pans aren't fresh made like the larger pizzas. When I ordered and the waitress told me they were out of personal pans, I asked how can you be out if you have fresh dough? Then she explained the pans are frozen cheese pizzas and all they do is add the sides. Yes, I was taken off guard on that one. I have always eaten here because I was under the assumption the pizzas were fresh made but I guess not. I explained my disappointment to the waitress and she said she understood. Ok this Pizza Hut was closed for some time when the restaurants shut down due to C-19. This Pizza Hut is now back open and I felt I needed a pizza for lunch. Due to Governors orders the lunch buffet is still closed down and that has hurt the business some. Now when I walked in I stood waiting to be seated. The waitress/cashier walked up and told me I ordered at the register. Humm I can do this, no problem. After she took my order she explained that I can take a seat. She will call my name when it's ready and the food will be sitting on a table by the register for me to pick up. HUH?? She gets my drink for me and gives me a small to-go cup with my drink in it. I looked at her and said "once I start eating, this little cup won't work"! She apologized and told me that is how it's gonna be for now. When I need a refill just get up and bring it to her. She cannot walk to the tables to check on me or any other customer. I was totally WOW'd by this. My wife and I eat out a lot because of our work schedule. This is the only restaurant we have been to that does this. When I am on lunch break and go to a restaurant. I don't expect delay after delay for my meal. My name was finally called and I went to get my pizza and bread sticks. The pizza was in a to-go box and bread sticks in a bag. Pizza Hut!! You gotta get it together. This is about ridiculous. This isn't about the employees or the managers. This is a dumb corporate decision made by some one that probably sits in a cubicle. To get me to return to this restaurant. Pizza is greasy and salad bar is gross. Staff had left the salad bar lacking most of the condiments and add-ons and customers had left a mess on the bar left for a long time. After Waiting 50 minutes, finally got up went the manager and asked where our order was. We were given the next pizza out of the oven. We were not given silverware and had to go back to the counter and ask the manager for it. Pizza was very good. Well when we first arrived at around 715 we were seated fairly quickly but after that it went down hill our server Will took our drink order and brought it back gave us our drinks while I looked at the menu but when I looked up to tell him what we wanted to eat he was gone after waiting 20 minutes on him to come back he asked if I wanted a refill I said no but I would like to order our food so he took our order after another 20 minutes he brought half our food out but forgot our i reminded him about that so he slowly walks back to get our salads brings them out but no silverware so we wait another 10 minutes for Will to be spotted again to get some silverware and while we are eating our salads homeboy comes over and ask if the salads are ok I said yes he said good because they expire tomorrow so I wanted to make sure they were ok who does that the food wasn't bad but the service was horrible read more

Service SUCKS!!! I took my family there for lunch today and I will never do that again. We went in and stood for about five minutes before we were seated,(we were only the third table in the entire place).Our order was taken,15 minutes later my wife asked for our salads,20 minutes later they came. About 20 minutes after that we asked about our bread sticks and pizza(my daughter needed to get to work) then finally it came and was barely was warm. In the meantime, my wife was waiting our table because the waitress was no where to be found. Needless to say the only reason I give it one star is because there are no negative stars. I love Pizza Hut! And we have on every corner of the main intersection of Athens Tenn there are 3 major choices. I live just outside of the delivery area so it's a trip if I want pizza. I called and order a leg stuffed crust and 12 wings. $24.63. I got there 5 minutes later than they said to arrive. When I walked in. 1 person cooking and 3 servers. No one approached me. When I waved someone down, they acted like they didn't know what pick up was. And asked around if they had an order for me. I stood there for 10 mins. Finally someone said in the back, that they don't know where the order was. I told them I was given a total for my order! No response.... So I walked out and drove to Arby's.... There's was no offer to correct this issue or at least try to get my repeat business. Totally Awful Franchise!!! As I refer many visitors to local businesses, I will steer them Clear Away from Pizza Hut, Athens, Tennessee!!! I was forced to leave 1 star to apply my review. In protest!! read more
