Hubs ordered the Goodfella Pizza, with a couple of deletions, and loved it. I chose the Elana Ruz sandwich and it was glorious! Not exaggerating, that sandwich was such a delicious combination of flavors. We were able to find seats inside while we waited, and then hubs found a table outside right before our food was ready. The weather was delightful so we enjoyed sitting outside. We loved the overall vibe, although inside was a little loud. Their decor everywhere was so much fun! We also appreciated the drink refills as we headed out. As we left, we saw tons of parking in an adjacent lot, which I've noted for future visits. Mountain Goat Market is now definitely a must-do on our next trip to The Caverns.

In a very large open room, I was reminded of a high school cafeteria. We were able to get a table right away. Order at the counter and seat yourself. We took turns ordering because our table was the last one and we didn't want to lose it. The meal took only a few minutes to prepare and we were eating by 12:55 The Reuben looked amazing as did the pizza. I was a little jealous. Especially since I ordered the fiesta burrito and found it to be mostly ... just.... okay. I was disappointed that the gift / souvenir shop was closed.

We enjoyed browsing the store seeing some interesting food & imported beverage items and sampling their homemade pimento cheeses. Be sure to check out their website & menu! We will stop again when we are in the Dalton area and come prepared with our cooler. We were visiting Athens, Tennessee and wanted to explore the small downtown area. I looked to Yelp to find a spot for lunch and this restaurant came up with some decent reviews for the chicken salad and the pimento sandwiches. I can't speak for the quality of the chicken salad sandwich because my husband ate it and he's pretty forgiving, but the pimento cheese sandwich was horrible. To add insult to injury, I poured myself a lemonade soon to discover it was water. When I spoke to one of the teenage cooks/servers about it, she said she knew, but didn't know how to fix it. Just a half block away is another really wonderful restaurant called Pie Hound. There are other restaurants in the area that would also be better choices.

Once the table was ready the flipped it super quick to get us seated & started caring for us right away. The food was delicious! I got a Cuban which is a favorite of mine. Absolutely loved it & it was still great as a left over the next day. Several people at the table got the burger. They mentioned they would've liked more topping but that it was still delicious. Someone got fish & someone else got a steak they raved about how great it was. The fries were top notch. I'd go back just for the fries. The restaurant was loud so it was hard to talk in a large group. It was very clean & maximized the small space they have. When it's not the middle of summer it would be nice to sit outside on their patio. It seemed like if you were willing to sit there you got sat & served immediately.
