I just paid 74 dollars for three little pizzas and when they were done I asked the clerk "how much ranch cups they give per pizza?" She said "two ranches per pizza " lol but she would not to that for me because I had 1 order. Please how does this make sense where I had to pay additional money for ranch when I was only asking for 6 cups of ranch. Two per pizza right? Lol. So silly how people loose customers right. I'm not in a habit of writing reviews about chain restaurant operations, but I get the feeling that each Pizza Factory outlet is independently run. And thus, in my humble assessment, this place qualifies as a mom & pop joint. I visit friends in the Somerset area and I house-sit in the summers there and this is one of my go-to places. Their pizza is excellent and I feel that their employees are well trained as there is a consistency of high quality food that comes out of there. I seem to get the same pizzas as I'm content with what has become my standard orders, the meat pizza is one, the other veggie. And, I give props to the staff there, friendly as always. Aside from the food, the premises reminds me of an old-school pizza parlor, lots of elbow room in the dining area, a small arcade to entertain the young-'uns, and TV monitors to keep the ambience lively enough on slow days. The place is a nice boon to a rural area that doesn't have much in terms of selection. Of course that's coming from an urban rat that has dozens of choices beyond his doorstep, so it's quite a compliment. read more

My boyfriend's dad picked up a pepperoni pizza and cheese bread for him and I to eat and it was quite tasty! Also, it seems like this location is full of some great workers because upon arrival to pick it up they accidentally put in an extra of the pizza we ordered and despite the miscommunication they kindly offered us to take the extra one for free. He politely declined, but I do gotta say that is some peak customer service (especially for a pizza chain). I LOVE this Pizza Factory! Their pizza is consistently delicious; crispy crust, and just the right amount of toppings. It changed hands recently to a guy named Dave who introduced himself to us. I told him ai always mag my sister to come here when I visit! He said the previous owners had it for something like 34 years. He owns the Placerville and Pollock pines locations as well so he really knows the business. I'm looking forward to see how they do. Abby was able to get us assisted swiftly and was so kind about the mix up. Please, please......please!!! Take care of your fly problem. An otherwise good experience after a fun day at apple hill was had, save for the annoyance of swatting away flies. My spaghetti and meatballs meal was inexpensive, and while not mind blowing, it was a good overall bowl of pasta. A hearty portion that hit the spot. My mom and sister each had a mini pizza, and my sister enjoyed the pesto. The customer service is good, too. We buy about 2 or 3 pizzas a month there. Tonight, my pizza was way off. Skimpy on the extra toppings (that I paid extra for.) I asked for a well done pizza so it wouldn't be doughy and it was gooey like raw dough in the middle. This alone is not the problem, mistakes are made all the time. That's understandable. When I called to tell them I was unsatisfied, they treated me like I was bothering them. I spoke to the owner who YELLED AT ME. Told me that he's been making pizzas for 20 some years and everyone loves his pizza. I told him that I am a paying customer and I am calling to say that I am unhappy with my pizza. He said, "What do you want me to do? You want another pizza?" I told him that not only do I want my pizza remade, I do not like the way he's speaking to me. He said, "oh yeah?" and HUNG UP ON ME. I was going to let it go, but no... this pizza sucks. I want my pizza remade and I want an apology. I called back and he said, "oh no SWEETHEART, I would never hang up on you, I'm sorry it's been a bad day, I'll remake your pizza. Give me about 20 minutes. But I want you to bring the pizza back so I can see why you're unhappy with it." So I load the kids up in the car, drive back and show him the pizza. "See," I say, "Two of these pieces for instance, don't have any tomatoes. I paid extra for tomatoes, one would expect they'd at least touch every slice of pizza." I was expecting him to say, "Ah I see, you're right. I'm sorry, here's your pizza." NOPE. HE SLAMS THE LID DOWN ON THE PIZZA! Like a total jerk. He said, "I've been making pizzas for blah blah blah....." I said, "you can't speak to me like this." and looked over at his employees, who all looked very uncomfortable. He said, "WHATYA WANNA DO, CALL THE FRANCHISE BOARD?! WELL GO AHEAD, SEE IF I CARE!" I said, "Okay, is that what you want me to do?" Then this guy, who's name is Greg, said in a crazy bipolar whisper, "no, I mean I'm sorry, like I said, here's your pizza, it's the way you asked for, here just take it." SERIOUSLY? .... I still can not believe how inconceivably rude this guy was to me, I actually started to cry from having my adrenaline pumping and felt like I was being attacked. It was a horrible feeling. I couldn't believe this was essentially, all OVER A STUPID PIZZA. His horrible customer service and lack of manners and basic common decency pretty much ruined Wednesday's PBSF. I ordered an extra large western BBQ chicken pizza tonight at about 8pm. They close at 830 and I was there at 815 to pick up my pizza. When I got it home and opened the box it was obvious from the smell that it was burnt. The pizza was burned on the under side so bad no one could eat it. She wants to argue with the customer? Then she has another pizza in front of her telling me I have the wrong one after arguing over the first. The new Factory Special Pizza is no replacement for the Pony Express pizza they had for years. We've had it twice now, and the crust was thin and over-cooked, there were fewer toppings, and the sauce is too spicy (the opinion of three out of three people). Gorgeous inside. The pizza was one of the best in town. Don't know if I'm more excited about the yummy pizza, or beautiful surroundings in there. Open floor plan with a separate room you can reserve that has the most amazing mural from a local artist of the Rubicon trail. A room that is a perfect tribute to the 'con. Here's what I think. The employees are great. They were all super nice and friendly. The pizza was really good. It's was not rushed or made with lame food products. They actually care about the customer. Here's the part where the owners can step it up a bit. The TV is terrible. It hurts my eyes looking at it. A new TV from Costco is cheap and it would make a huge difference. Take a step back and look at the hanging ivy on the walls. That was cool in the 80s. It could be amazing with some nice flat screens and get lots of sports. I will go back again for sure. read more

Sometimes, you get a craving for a salad - you know... croutons, tomatoes. Really, just one big round crouton covered with tomato sauce... and cheese... and bacon. Alright, alright... pizza... you get a craving for pizza. In my case, I get that craving pretty regularly, so the family and I end up here fairly often. Well, you can easily satisfy that craving here. There is an abundance of variety and "custom" creations. You can obviously choose from the specialty pizzas on the menu or ask them to throw together a concoction of your very own. The garlic white sauce is a pretty awesome substitution, too (if tomato sauce isn't your thing). And I gotta tell ya... this isn't some cheap Domino's slap-together job. These pies actually taste good! Kids like the little arcade tucked away in the back. Nice for us bigger kids to see dough being tossed for each individual pizza crust. I cannot say enough good things about the folks who work here. They helped me in a moment of crisis even though I wasn't buying food. If there is a gold star for customer service then these folks who work here should get it. With no cell coverage, it was hard for me to get anywhere and these folks went out of their way to help.
