REALLY BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! On January 21st at about 12:15 I took the grandkids to Pizza Factory in Minden for the buffet lunch. It was such a disappointment! When we got there the restaurant was almost empty. The only staff were two unfriendly women, one blond and one older brunette. The blond who took my order never greeted me, never looked at me and said as few words as possible. I suspect she hates customers and her job. After we got plates we saw the buffet had only two half pizzas, one pineapple and the other had different meats and olives. I asked if they could make a cheese or pepperoni pizza because that's all my kids will eat.They begrudgingly agreed to make one. After waiting a while two men came in, paid for the buffet and just as they handed them their plates they put out the pepperone pizza which was right behind them. We got in line behind the men. Sadly, what was left was one slice of pepperoni pizza each for the kids. And they liked the pizza. I went to the counter and asked if they could make another cheese or pepperoni pizza. The workers, who talked to me from across the room, said no. They said the old halves of pizzas, pineapple or the one with olives had to be eaten first. I explained the kids won't eat that and those pizzas were now very old. They explained they wouldn't be making cheese or pepperoni and that there were other kinds of pizzas they would be making first. There is an order to the variety of pizzas they make for the buffet. By now we are the only people in the restaurant and I am trying to reason with these employees who are being so cold and indifferent. They told me even if the old half pizzas were eaten the next pizzas they would make wouldn't be what I'm asking for either. If the goal is to run off customers I think it's working. Almost no customers and on a day there's no school and unwilling to make a pizza for the customers they do have. Weird. Nothing left to do but leave and write this review to warn others. read more

The pizza was just average. Nothing special. While we were eating our pizza we noticed a woman standing in front of the salad bar She was eating out of the salad bar, not from a plate. She stood there for at least 10-15 minutes eating from the containers in the salad bar. The 2 young females working there knew it and didn't say anything. We will never go back.​ read more

We are frequent diners at Pizza Factory in Minden, and for good reason! This place is truly outstanding. From the food to the service and the atmosphere, everything is consistently wonderful. The staff is incredibly welcoming every time we walk through the door. The food is always fresh--I have to give a special shout-out to the salad bar, which is easily my favorite part. We've even hosted our son's birthday party here twice now, and every single time, our guests are blown away by the quality of the food and the attentive service. Bunch of kids running this place- ordered delivery- called 2x's driver 10mins away- walked (over an hour) to figure out wtf?! Arrived. Young kids said "10mins away". We had a stellar lunch today at our Minden Pizza Factory. We ordered the lunch buffet which was basically the salad bar with several pizza choices and warm bread. The pizza was cooked perfectly with a fresh assortment of toppings. The salad bar was fresh fresh fresh and I've never had a more crunchy tasty lettuce! It was noteworthy, for sure! The proprietor was pleasant and warm. The restaurant itself was spotless. The iced tea was freshly brewed. This is my "go to" from now on. It's an excellent value. read more

Ordered online for pick up on a Sunday evening. Ordered a meatball sandwich, brisket sandwich, salad with ranch, and Alfredo pasta. The meatball sandwich had 4 small flat meatballs barely any cheese and the white bread was so burnt it looked like wheat. The brisket sandwich was alright but it would be comparable to a frozen brisket sandwich you buy at the grocery store. The salad was good and fresh. The description says for two but the dressing amount they gave us only covered half the salad. The Alfredo had no flavor. Barely any added cheese. The pasta was chewy. Lived her for quite some time now and randomly decided to try it. For $40 Needless to say we won't be going back. read more

What can you say about pizza factory? It's a chain restaurant. It's food chain quality expectation. The real turn off. Was the owners were talking politics so you really could never really enjoy the atmosphere or your food. Love this place love the people very friendly. Pizzas are great. The salad bar was fresh, but they need to get rid of the raw, sliced green peppers! If you want green peppers, put it on your pizza but I don't know of that many people that would want sliced bitter green peppers in their salad. If they were red, orange, or yellow peppers that's great but green ones I would say no that's for pizza not the salad bar. Also sliced pickled beets would be better than what they have there. You have to bring back garbanzo beans! I know corporate can't be telling you guys to do that if they are, they're making a big mistake. You guys replace the green peppers with the garbanzo beans again and in my opinion that's way better item for a salad bar. Also, they could put something there better than the mini corn cobs too. So bring back the potato salad and put it in the place of one of those above mentioned items please! Everything else is good, but I couldn't give it a really great score because of the condiment situation at the salad bar. I hope they fix it. read more

Warning, this will be probably one of the very view negative reviews in the 46 years that Lake Tahoe Pizza Company has operated. I have been a regular customer since 1989, and in the last two years the quality of Lake Tahoe Pizza Company's product has dropped considerably. It is still good pizza because the bar was so high originally, but for decades I had considered it the best I had had anywhere in the world. Sadly, since the founder retired this is no longer the case. And not based on a few visits-this has been an issue for at least two years. I am now going to Base Camp Pizza at Heavenly Village, which as a local and a regular customer I can tell you is now the best quality pizza in town. It is my hope that the new operator can bring back the storied history of Lake Tahoe Pizza Company, as it has been an institution in Lake Tahoe since I was a kid. read more

I ordered a pizza with mushrooms and sausage, it had very few mushrooms and clumps of sausage balls. I will never go to this place again. Daughter wanted pizza for her birthday so we decided to try Pizza Factory. When we arrived on a Friday evening there was only one other family in the restaurant. Young girl at the counter wasn't the friendliest and told us there would be a 40 minute wait for pizza. We ordered pizza and some drinks. Took a while to get our drinks as we had to wait for someone old enough to legally bring us alcohol. Had to go up to the counter though to ask for a straw for daughters water. Daughters pizza arrived. Same girl brought the pizza to us. She sat the pizza down and walked away without asking if we needed plates or utensils. I walked up to the counter and asked for plates. Same girl gave us two paper plates even though there are 3 of us so I had to go up to the counter and ask for another one. I then had to ask separately for (plastic) utensils. The paper plates are the cheapest, thinnest generic brand paper plates you can buy. The plastic forks and knives aren't strong enough to cut through pizza. Why not provide something better than the cheapest plates and utensils? And why are they all (plates, utensils, straws) behind the counter where we have to bother an employee to get them for us? The place got very busy so why have them all behind counter where we have to bug busy employees? Pizza was good. I will give them that. The complaint is with the customer service, and the cheap plates and utensils hidden behind the counter. All easily fixable . read more

45 minutes for a meatball and an Italian sandwich was a bit much. The meatball sandwich was dry with nowhere near enough sauce. The bread was overcooked. The Italian sandwich was okay but not great. I have no idea what some of these people are talking about ‍ I am in from out of town working here for a few days, We came here for dinner just because Pizza sounded good tonight, I looked up what was close to my hotel and this place came up. I looked at the reviews and saw some interesting reviews, but I sometimes prefer to form my own opinions, ...and I'm glad I did! The staff was great! Very nice and helpful, we had an antipasto salad which was great! Then we had the all meat pizza which did not disappoint! Crust was just how I like it, Not soggy and not cardboard either, Toasted just right, Plenty of toppings, with the perfect amount of sauce, very tasty! So I had ordered pizza for my Kids and X-Large pepperoni pizza with a soda. I wasnt expecting anything else, but we found something. It was pubic hair embedded into the cheese. How does one's pubic hair get on pizza??? We're they walking around the restaurant with it stuck on their hands or was this intentionally put there?? I just read a review on a female Worker was digging in her ear and scratching...and continued to make someone's meal. ughhhh !!! And we get a pepperoni pizza with pubic hair for an extra kick of flavor. This pizza factory is probably the most disgusting pizza place around town. It went through plenty of owners all the same. Came in at 8:30 ish to ask when the last time they were taking orders for the night. All of the girls had their butts on the front counter and they were on their phones. The front blonde was so rude and wouldn't even look at me when she said "we've already turned off the oven, so." I did think it was odd they had pretty much closed up shop before the advertised end of business. As soon as I turned my back they started talking crap about me and it was so gross. We had just moved up to this area and wanted some good pizza while we unpacked. I ordered on line and the wait time said 55 minutes. So when I went to pick up the pizza they said it would be a little bit longer of a wait. My daughter decided she wanted to try there cinnamon sticks as dessert. So we ordered those as well and it seemed like it was a annoying thing to do to the girl behind the counter. 20 minutes had passed since we arrived to pick up our pizza (which again was to take 55 minutes) and again was told it would be a bit longer as they were just starting on our pizza!! Finally after 47 minutes of sitting in the restaurant, our pizza and cinnamon sticks were ready (after I had to ask again how much longer). Got home and started eating. Pizza was okay but NOT worth the hour and 40 minutes we had to wait for it. The cinnamon stick I don't think they were even cooked. I opened the bag and it was RAW dough throughout. Okay guys, years ago I was so disappointed in this place that I never came back. A friend posted that they had new owners. We decided to give both Pizza Factory another try in addition to trying the new Shoe Tree Brewery that opened up down from them and that allows us to eat Pizza Factory pizza in there outside seating. I walked into Pizza Factory and the employee that helped me was very friendly. Looking around, all the employees sounded friendly. I ordered their Saturday special, a XL, 2 topping pizza for $17.99 knowing I would have left overs. The employee put down we were sitting outside Shoe Tree and said they would walk it over to us, GREAT! The pizza took roughly 25 minutes to get delivered. She bought us plates, cheese and red peppers. I opened the box and noticed they were very generous with their toppings. I took a bite and the crust was cooked to perfection with just a perfect crisp! The pizza itself was delicious! Plenty of leftovers with 3 people eating. After we were done eating pizza, I decided to walk back and order their chocolate chip pizza. Again, everyone was very friendly. They delivered it within 15 - 20 minutes and it was another win! I totally recommend this place especially if you want it paired with Shoe Tree beer. I hope that next time the pizza and dessert is as good as it was tonight. We live in the south end of Gardnerville. Not too close to us but they will be a hit to others and next time we decide to have beer and pizza for an evening out. Great job guys and see you next time. read more

Heading back home after a winter camping trip to the eastern side of the Sierras after a holiday weekend, we were looking for a quick, group meal along the way. We chose to stop here on a Monday evening when it was blowing a blizzard outside. It's located in a strip mall just north of the Dairy Queen on US Hwy 395 It's way in the back and towards the left side.. The place was roomy, had a broad service counter. The two staffers there seemed friendly and offered good service as we quickly decided on a couple of pizzas and a pitcher of beer, plus salad bar options. The bathroom was clean . While we waited for our food, we asked for the flat screen tv to be set to the Weather Channel. The staff on duty cheerfully allowd this request and soo, we were looking at the weather we'd have to brave to get home that night. [ It really was frightful weather outside, and we had yet to cross the mountains before the night was through. We were the only customers there that evening. Outside, it was snowing and the parking lot was covered with slush. Apparently, most sane people were were not out and about during the storm!.] The wait was not long. The food was served fresh from the oven, and we set to devouring it. It was decent thin-crust pizza. We'd ordered a pepperoni, and a half-'n half pizza...veggie on one side and Canadian bacon on the other. We were probably far too tired and hungry to give a critical review of the food.
