Two stars cuz... Bad crust....cheap toppings...weird white dude who acts like his wife left him workin...thankfully the quality is reflected in the price...cheap read more

Do you ever get the craving for a bomb slice of pizza?? Well, this is the spot for that craving! You can order the whole pie or just stop in for a slice. read more

Good ol' pizza express. A lot of lunchtime memories here. The pizza here is almost always good and for a really long time it was for the best price of 1.50 but that has changed now. Their prices have definitely gone up about a dollar and there has been occasionally times where the pizza is really not good but overall its really consistent. The guy running the place, BJ, always super friendly and pretty much all of CV knows who he is. The actually property where they operate is no good. The place is not the best looking and he could easily pick it up but for some reason won't. HOWEVER, we are look strictly at pizza here and they never fail. Good deals on whole pizzas rather than slices. read more

My first experience at Pizza Express was pretty unmemorable. I can't even remember what kind of pizza I bought. But! Last night changed EVERYTHING. The all-meat pizza they serve at Pizza Express is a revelation. I was in greasy, meaty, cheesy, and utterly satisfied heaven three slices deep into our medium pie last night. I slept like a baby :) I would give Pizza Express five stars and pledge allegiance to them if it weren't for the incredibly moody and off-putting guy they've had working in there 5ever. I'm sure he's not the type to care what people say about him online, or maybe use a computer at all, but I'm not too keen on throwing good money at someone who makes me uncomfortable with their blatant I-don't-care-if-you're-here-or-not attitude. Will it stop me from eating at Pizza Express? Probably not. I'll just have my husband order my heavenly all-meat pizza pies for me. read more

We have been going here since we moved from San Francisco!!! The options for pizza are pretty minimal. I wasn't a big fan of Pyzano's. The people here are so friendly and they know us when we call. My son used to set it up for delivery during lunch time while at CVHS. Because of that, they always ask how he is if he doesn't place the order. The Mac Daddy is excellent if you have a troop of boys or a family party to feed!! You won't regret it!! read more

Been going here since I was a lil kid and used to get cheese slices for like $1. Now I come here whenever I have a party at the house and just get the mac daddy biggest pizza they offer. Always tastes good, always a crowd pleaser, and to be able to feed like 10-20ppl for 50$ and it's a really good pizza cant really beat it. read more

Great pizza! We are hooked. Hands down the best prices in town. The service is great and the owners are super nice. Wife and I eat there at least once a week. This is the only pizza she likes. read more

This pizza is amazing. I got the Halal pepperoni with jalapeños. Really great customer services, clean space. There is a competitor restaurant I usually go to for fulfilling my halal pepperoni need, but this pizza was made with love. I'll be a returning customer read more

Very good pizza and reasonably priced. I like the crust and how its twisted and doughy. For me the sauce and bread is the important part on the pizza. Plus they have great ways to get different pizza by the slice so if you dont want to get the same flavor then you can get a slice and its gigantic. Try them. They are nice people as well. read more

Very impressed with this pizza. First time trying and was not disappointed. Plenty of toppings and the dough was fresh. Will be coming back here again soon. read more

Had a couple slices of cheese from this place today and it was mediocre at best. The place is a sort of a dump, but sometimes looks maybe deceiving so I decided to give it a try. The menu for slices is a printed paper behind the register. There was only one guy working in there. The pizza was bland and the crust was burnt. I don't think I'll come back. Just wanted a decent slice but next time I'll visit a different establishment. read more

I have been going to this place for over 20 years since I moved back to Castro Valley. My very favorite garlic chicken special with pesto sauce is the only pizza we order anymore. Unfortunately, the last time we ordered it, we got at home and realized that it had absolutely no garlic (it's in the name) , No onion, no scallions, no mushrooms, no tomatoes. It was a crust with very little pesto sauce some cheese and chicken. That was it. Very disappointed. Perhaps, they need to hire people that know the menu and will execute it properly. Too bad because this is (usually)hands-down the best pizza in Castro Valley. I will be following up with the owner read more

I love this place the owner is thee BEST he's hilarious I love the pizza the customer service the guys here are helpful and sweet read more

Okay, normally I'd give a Domino's a 2 or a 3... but this place has some STELLAR customer services. If you wan yummy cookie cutter pizza super quick? This is your place man. I ordered my pizza online thru yelp and they had it delivered to me within 25 mins. Now don't get me wrong... it's still Domino's but its HOT, YUMMY, QUICK, and CHEAP? I'm sold for a lazy pizza day :) DO NOT GO TO ANY OTHER DOMINO'S this place is legit. read more

Not bad at all! Yeah, the slices are prebaked then refired with the additional toppings, but the supreme slice I got looked like a monster. You can definitely tell where the old cheese stops and the new toppings begin, but who cares? It's four bucks! Pizza has been on my do-not-eat list for about six months, so I was fiending for a fix. One son is a vegetarian now, the other loves meat and mushrooms, and me, I like anything and everything thrown on top. For $10.75, veggie boy got cheese, the carnivore got pepperoni, sausage and mushroom and I got the kitchen sink. Best of all, there's not all this extra pizza sitting around calling to me, telling me that it's okay if my spare tire hangs over my bikini bottom in Hawaii. Bring cash for the slices... credit cards can only be used for whole pizzas! read more

Good pizza. I got a slice of the combo and it was very good. The only down side is even though it was good, a slice of pizza for 4 dollars should be a little bigger. I go to pizzamyheart in sj and get a huge slice for 4 dollars but because im only down there a few times a week for school and work, I don't always go there lol. If im craving a slice of pizza while in Hayward Ill def come back to here :) read more

I come here to feed my family. With four adult brothers and lots of kids running around, I need at least one, sometimes two of their largest size, the "grand daddy" which cannot be delivered and you have to pick it up. They barely fit in my civic and my brother had to hug the dashboard as we drove home. We were quoted 35-45 mins. That didn't happen. We left and ran some errands on the same block and ended up waiting another half hour in the super hot waiting area. The staff was nice and kept telling us "almost ready" but still. I dropped $115 for two grand daddy pizzas, one combo and one garlic chicken supreme, 3 orders of wings (10 pc each) and cheesy bread bites, so I understand the wait but by the time I arrived I was just watching them put the second one together and the first was still in the oven. They just need more realistic quotes on time and I will be satisfied. This order fed 8 adults, and 5 children. Thumbs up!~ read more

I've gotten their pizza for some of my workers and let me tell you the king Kong pizza is good for a whole family of 6!! They're huge juicy slices read more

The things that happen when I fall asleep! So my hubby was trying to take care of me. We just had our first child so he ordered pizza while I was asleep. He ordered the pizza and two hours later it came. The order wasn't complete. They forgot the soda and the pizza wasn't even the right one and it was lukewarm! You would think that a place that's a five minute drive would be able to get an order right and hot after two hours of waiting! Hubby called back and complained. The manager sent huge single slices to us, but the damage was already done. The poor driver didn't even get a tip from us and I wasn't awake enough to write him a tip to send his manager(I do that when service is THAT terrible) The pizza wasn't anything spectacular, but it fed us and at least the manager tried to rectify the situation. There are two major sports teams playing today which means the pizza places are busy. I still have to give them two stars because they should've been better prepared for a busy game day. No one less than a mile away should wait two hours for a pizza... read more

Decided to give this place a try even though it only had 6 reviews... Called them to find out specials... and the guy said to tell him what I wanted and he'd have a special for it... 2 large pizzas... so he gave me a four bucks off each one. Very nice guy. Biggest problem was that I called the number on their website that was for the Castro Valley spot... only to find out... having had driven by several times in search for our pizza.... that the number we called was the HAYWARD location.. okay. that would have been nice to know. I didn't know it was up to us to confirm the address when it's explicitly listed on the website. Because I don't know if the number was just forwarded, I'd suggest to confirm the address you are ordering from. I was a fan of the pizza... esp the dough-y, pita-like crust. Gonna try the Mac Daddy (is that what it's called?!) sized pizza next. read more

Like others have said. Pizza is horrendous and I was overcharged. Don't know how I was paying that much for a medium size pizza. Had to argue that tax shouldn't be that much. Please save yourself the headache and go elsewhere, like Pizza Guys on Mission Blvd. Not coming here again. read more

I'm gonna say that I used to see this place as not really good and kind of cheap greasy and crappy -- something I only used to be interested in eating after a 40 of malt liquor when I was eighteen. Recently I decided to head down here to pick up a couple of slices, Vegetarian and Pepperoni and Jalapeno(AHHHHH a heavenly combination) and this experience really changed my mind. I live right up the street and never really gave this place much of a chance, but after giving it another shot, I like crave this pizza. I've come to the realization that cheap, greasy pizza can really be the best pizza and for 3.50 for a fat two topping slice, I say "BRAVO!!!!", Pizza Express, I've heard a lot of strange stories from people I've known who've worked here but really at this point that means nothing. Killer pizza, some of the best in CV -- blowing the competition out of the water. read more

I love the pizza here. One of the best pizzas in the Bay Area. Be prepared to take your pizza home as there are no tables. I have had hit or miss with their delivery service. Sometimes it is very fast, other times I have had to wait FOREVER. However, it is worth the wait. Just factor in extra wait time if you don't want to leave your house. Pick it up yourself if you want it at a certain time. Order the Mac Daddy! It will feed a small army or one teenage boy. It's about $33 but it is the size of three (3) large pizzas. Yum! read more

I was very happy ordering from a local, non-franchise pizza place. The owners & staff are lovely people. We will definitely be ordering again soon. read more

Pizza was cooked too fast so was too brown on top and pizza dough was undercooked. The toppings were okay but overall the pizza was terrible

This place has good pizza, but the sanitation is just not there. I've walked in seeing a worker picking at his feet. I've seen the worker use his bare hands on the pizza after handling my cash. Now today I've bitten on a large piece of plastic in my slice of pizza. A great pizza place with fast food hygiene. Come here if you don't care if the pizza's as dirty as the toilet, but taste good. read more

If you're looking for CA Pizza Kitchen service with waiters in white aprons and 12 dollar deserts, look elsewhere. If you are looking for good ass pizza, this is the spot. I suggest the Super Supreme, it's like a combo on steroids and it's delicious. You won't find a better cheese pizza here either. Note this is a small business with few employees. If you are trying to order a pizza on game day and are shocked that it takes longer than 45 minutes, order dominos or go to Papa Johns. I'm sure they would love to have your business. For good pizza you'll have to delay your instant gratification your so accustomed to having quenched. read more

Looking for a slice that can hold up to 11 toppings? Or trying to feed people with great, cheesy slices of pizza? This shop can do both and more. This pizza is polarizing, but a majority of my friends enjoy the taste and texture. read more
