The Chorizo & Manchego gourmet pizza is AMAZING! I make sure that all my out of town friends try this when they visit. Pretty good wings, too. I look forward to trying more of their menu, but it's hard to break away from that delicious pizza. Only reason I'm giving 4 stars is because they have some serious issues with their delivery service. I live 3 minutes walking distance and they don't recognize the street each time I call. They quote 45 mins, which turns into an hour, if it even gets to me at all the first time around. They were very nice about striking an item from my bill on a particular occasion. Man, we used to love Ephesus. The food was high quality, the prices were great, and the staff were wonderful people. However, all that's gone now. Quality of ingredients has declined over the past year. New staff are rude, and try to nickel and dime you. For example, in the the good ole Ephesus days, they would let you know if something you ordered had a coupon. Now, they fight you about coupons when you bring them up. The pides used to be amazing and fresh, and now they're barely edible. The Lamajun was so good! Now they don't even include lamb in it. The salads used to be great, with spring mix. This is my new go-to place for chicken gyros. SO GOOD. And craycray cheap. So far, we've also tried everything from gyros to pizza to baba to hamburgers. Everything has been excellent, and it only takes about 20 minutes for the order to be ready. Did I mention how cheap it is? If there is one compliant, it's about the hummus. It's meh. They use quite a bit of olives when making it (plus put an olive in the middle of the container), and I'm just not a big olive fan. Ephesus is the best pizza in the Bellevue/Avalon area. When my husband and I moved, we were sad to be leaving our beloved pizza shop in Bloomfield. Oh, how I miss their delicious sauce, thin crust, and greasy cheese! Since our move, we have tried every pizza place around. I always tell people Bellevue is the capital for churches (there are a minimum of 2 I am aware of on my street let alone at least 4 others within walking distance) and pizza shops. In my opinion, this is where to order pizza from in Bellevue. My favorite is the BBQ chicken (no green peppers)-chicken; mushroom, green pepper, onions, mozzarella, provolone & smoked gouda cheeses (BBQ sauce). They have unique pizzas too like the Moroccan spiced chicken and dried plum pizza which is really unique and tasty (Moroccan spiced chicken, dry plum, mozzarella & provolone, roasted almonds, sun dried tomatoes, fresh mixed green & crumbled gorgonzola cheese (tomato sauce). The chicken gyro is also very tasty and everything is cheap to boot. I ordered some of the greek specialties before and those, unfortunately, were not good at all. The stuffed grape leaves were bland and the falafel was very doughy and cold. If ordering form here stick to pizzas or the chicken gyro. I've never used the delivery service since I'm so close but I will say everytime I've gone to pick up my order it's always ready in the amount of time they said it would take which is a huge plus. read more

Standard Pittsburgh pizza shop. Edible pizza, standard apps, iceberg salads. Convenient, and prompt. They will often day 45 mins for a delivery and its there in 15. Delivery drivers are polite and respectful, and seemingly quite friendly. Great for delivery, usually have coupons or specials that make it very affordable. read more

I placed an order on Dec.30th 2015 and the food was good. However when I questioned the bill a few days later the manager at the Bellevue location told me that I was using an old menu even though I received that one in the mail that day. I was charged double for the pizzas and at least a $1.00 more for every other item. When asked he said they can change prices whenever they want and I have an old menu. I asked for the owner to call me because he said he couldn't help me. He said they'd tell me the same thing if they even bothered to call me. I said that I would report to the BBB if they didn't call me back and he said don't threaten me do what you want and no one will call you back. Then hung up on me. Hallelujah! A really good delivery pizza place in Pittsburgh! I was so disappointed after I moved here to find that most Pittsburgh delivery pizza is dreck along the lines of Gennaro's and IVP. When my S.O. brought the Ephesus menu home from work, I was skeptical - "A pizza place with a Turkish theme? Downtown? That delivers to South Side?" But oh boy, am I ever glad we tried it. And please, take my advice: don't design your own pie. Don't. Order one of their Turkish or Mediterranean specialty pizzas. The custom pizzas are perfectly good, don't get me wrong, but the specialty pizzas are very tasty, and very interesting, and exciting, and just so full of flavor... you'll be happy you did. Unless you're some kind of boring "pepperoni only" person. In which case, I dunno what to tell you. I want to stress, too, that Ephesus delivery has ALWAYS been on time and their pizza is ALWAYS hot when it gets here. And again, they're coming from Downtown up into the South Side to deliver to me. This place is amazing! I found this place while looking for a place that delivered while I was stuck at home, I just happened to find it with some lucky googling and I am just in love with the place! I've ordered a lot of different items off the menu, and I've yet to be anything other then thrilled. What really won me over, however was just how amazing the Sicilian Pizza is. You could not find a better Sicilian pizza in a hundred miles, and trust me, I've looked. Today will be the last time that we order from Ephesus Pizza. The last time that we ordered we were disappointed with how our pizza and wings tasted - everything was kind of dry or overcooked, but we were willing to give it a try again since we were only ordering pizza this time, and thought that maybe they just had an off night the last time. Anyhow, we ordered the Feta and Ricotta pizza Sicilian Style and the crust was dry and bland - it left you needing water because it was so dry and the bacon was undercooked but inexplicably the other toppings were dry and almost burnt except for the whole sun-dried tomatoes which were so salty that it left you needing to drink even more water and the fact that they weren't chopped/diced made the whole cheese and toppings surrounding the sun-dried tomatoes come off in big chunks in your mouth - you couldn't easily bite into it. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE AND VERY RUDE EMPLOYEES. We ordered BONELESS WINGS and ended up with wings with bones. After returning home, I immediately called and asked if they could make us boneless wings and we could come pick them up and give back the incorrect order. Normally, a restaurant would correct their mistake and just make us bonless wings because customer loyalty should be important, but they refused. They not only refused, they were completely rude about it. They insisted it was my fault and that I did not say boneless wings. They also said that I was giving them a hard time when I picked up the wings because I asked the employee, who barely spoke English, if he applied the coupon for the wings, which he didn't. I told them I am never coming back due to their terrible customer service and they said they don't care because they have plenty of customers. I couldn't even eat the wings we had because at least five of them still had a few feathers on them. I am never ever giving them my business again. I was all set to make dinner tonight, but when I went to put the dang casserole in the oven, the stupid thing wouldn't turn on. I tried everything but to no avail. I decided it was going to be a pizza night and began looking for a local place that I hadn't tried yet. Neighbors recommended Ephesus, so I figured I'd give it a try. I went to the website which directed me to GrubHub. The process was so easy. I was able to view their menu, make my selections, pay and tip through the app, which this introverted tech savvy lady sure did appreciate. They said to expect it between 7:20 pm and 7:30 pm. It got here at 7:15, I crushed nearly half of it, and have time to write about it. I ordered a small pepperoni pizza. It came with ranch dipping sauce that apparently god himself made right after he created light. The pizza was delivered by a friendly guy and was piping hot even though it is fricken freezing outside. Pizza delivery doesn't get much better than this folks. Oh, did I mention that it was D-fricken-licious? No? Okay, well it was. I like gooey cheese, bready dough (not crispy) and it had both. I can't wait to try their other menu items. We've ordered a dozen times, and food is always good. My absolute favorite is the Moroccan Spiced Chicken & Dry Plum Pizza. It is the best pizza I've ever had, delivery or no delivery. Seriously annoyed at the fact that when I call to report two items out of three ordered were prepared incorrectly, the manager on duty argued with me. I asked that they come get the mistakes and issue a refund on them. I was told that it was a mistake and he has to get a chance to make things right. I said this is how you make it right. I didn't order (despite said manager repeating the order back to me during ordering) what was delivered and I wasn't waiting another hour for a remake. He said he couldn't do partial refunds and would have to cancel the whole order. I repeated my request. He flat out said no. I've been ordering from there for years. Never treated so rudely or had an order so completely wrong. I wasn't aware that fried cheese sticks and a steak and cheese only wedgie with veggies on the side was so complex. Like I said order was repeated back to me before it was made. It's beyond ridiculous to be told you have to pay for something you didn't order. (French fries with pizza cheese thrown on them and a wedgie chock full of veggies). Normally, this place is super polite, their food is super tasty. Guess things have changed? My husband and I recently moved to Bellevue and found the Ephesus menu in the Pennysaver. We had tried one other pizza delivery from town that was not bad, but ever since ordering from Ephesus, we only order Ephesus. The menu is diverse and the food is sooo good. We've ordered salad, gyros, various gourmet pizzas, the mixed grill, and pide. All have been delicious, using quality ingredients with a Mediterranean flare that goes beyond just Italy.
