Very small, and nothing fancy, but the food is really good. I ordered the Mousaka and Dolmades. The Mousaka comes with a very tasty side salad. The Dolmades is served with Greek Yogurt. What a fantastic find! This hip Greek spot in Bellevue totally exceeded my expectations. I ordered takeout, and the service was fast -- perfect for a quick lunch pick up. Everything was super fresh and flavorful. The gyros were amazing, and the Greek salad was crisp, refreshing, and delicious. The dressing deserves its own shout-out... SO good! There are a few tables inside if you'd rather dine in, and the décor is modern and fun. I especially loved the vibrant lime green accent wall -- it gives the space such a cool, energetic vibe. Really wanted to like this place. Prices are cheap. Street parking was available outside. Unfortunately the place was overwhelmed by four orders. We even heard one cook tell the staff not to answer two phone calls as a result of that, it wasn't Nick. He was doing his best. The food my girlfriend got was cold in the center.... My meatballs were fine but nothing to rave about. The Greek fries were also just fries w a handful of feta on top. Will say the Greek dressing was good but that was the highlight. We've been struggling to find good gyros (like you get at a fair!) and have been disappointed in general by the Pittsburgh options. However Evia did not disappoint! Our gyros were flavorful and delicious as was the tzatziki and Greek fries. The feta they use is very fresh and tasty. The beef/lamb gyro meet was flavorful. Evia Greek is a local family-owned restaurant. Its menu lists salads, soup, sandwiches, entrees, sides, desserts, and beverages. Please see my attached photos for the menu in July 2024. The restaurant has a small dining room and also offers takeout and delivery. I have been a costumer of Evia three times--twice for delivery and once for dining in. The employees promptly and correctly cooked my foods. For dining in, two employees spoke nicely to my husband and me, but we overheard how they talked to each other and to a delivery driver. Here are my ratings for the foods and beverages: Greek salad - 5 stars - This salad was a good size. I enjoyed the flavors of the feta cheese, kalamata olives, red peppers, red onions, tomatoes, pepperoncini, and Greek dressing. Hummus and pita - 4.5 stars - I thought that this hummus tasted good but a little sour. The pita was fresh and warm, and it tasted very good. Greek grilled-cheese sandwich - 5 stars - The sourdough bread was perfectly buttered and toasted, and I liked the melted Greek Kasseri cheese. Lamb-beef gyro - 4.5 stars - My husband ate this gyro. It contained both lamb and beef, which is the meat that he likes, as well as vegetables and tzatziki sauce. Pastitsio - 4 stars - This pasta contained ground beef, herbs, and bechamel sauce. Spanakopita - 4.5 stars - Phyllo dough was layered with spinach, feta, and herbs. Moussaka - 4.5 stars - This casserole contained ground beef, eggplant, zucchini, herbs, and bechamel sauce. Lamb souvlaki - 4.5 stars - Large, juice, and flavorful chunks of lamb were on a skewer. Sides included rice pilaf and grilled pita. Greek fries - 5 stars - These fries were a large serving size, and they were topped with feta and oregano. Greek lemon potatoes - 4 stars - The potatoes were cut into large wedges and tasted lemony. Baklava - 4.5 stars - I really enjoyed the phyllo dough, walnuts, and honey. Galaktoboureko - 4.5 stars - The phyllo dough, custard, and honey were very fresh. Melomakarona - 4.5 stars - These cookies contained walnuts and honey, and I liked them very much. Kourambiethes - 5 stars - These butter cookies were covered in powdered sugar and tasted very sweet. They were my favorite cookies. Orange soda - 5 stars - This soda came from Greece and tasted very orangey. Sour-cherry soda - 5 stars - This soda was also from Greece and tasty exactly like I would expect for sour cherry. read more

Evia was recommended by the Pittsburgh Foodies Group. Since I was in the area last evening, I decided to give it a go. I grew up in Jersey, & terribly miss the Green-owned diners with Greek menu options. I have a lot of Greek friends, been to Greece a few times, been to countless Greek fairs, & weddings, and so I feel like I am a good judge of Greek food. I was soooo excited to try Evia. Drumroll please - I'd say that the food was mediocre at best. I think it's probably as good as I'm going to get from PGH. I hate giving 3 stars since I love to support local restaurants but that's what I felt it deserved. I had the "Cretan Salad" which basically a the same thing as a Greek salad with big chunks of bread, a Gyro, & a serving of pastitsio. The pastitsio has a very thin layer of the Béchamel sauce, & the meat layer was minimal. The gyro wasn't anything to ride home about. I can't tell you how much I was excited about the Galaktoboureko but there was literally no custard! So all in all, I wouldn't recommend going out of your way to Evia if you're looking for authentic Greek cuisine; if you want to satisfy a craving, or too lazy to cook and live in the area, this is a nice local option. I wouldn't recommend eating in; it's a small setting, kind of like a pizza joint. I was so excited to try this place. I wasn't happy with my order so I sent an email to Evia. They never replied which is disappointing. Below is what I wrote in my email. "Hello! I have been very eager to try your place. We got a grub hub last night. The grape leaves were delicious. I thought I ordered the meatless app then a dinner with the meat. Maybe I didn't read that correctly? Do you make meatless ones? Everything else was very good except for the Evia Bowl and we were missing a side salad. The flavor was fine. It was the lack of tomatoes and cucumbers. I have a photo attached of the only sliver of tomato that was in the salad. There were only 2 pieces of cucumber as well. We order from Alladin's a few times a month. Id prefer to give business to a true local one. I wanted to reach out directly to tel you. I'm really bummed as that bowl would be something I'd order often if I knew it came with a lot of ingredients. The description makes it sound like it does. Thanks very much." The fact that the bowl had a sliver of tomato and 2 pieces of cucumber is unacceptable. I have the sliver of the photo attached. We won't be ordering from Evia ever again. I have been so loyal to this company since they opened, and I've never seen a company go downhill so quickly. They are insanely inconsistent. After years of going there, I contacted their owner the one time I got their Spanikopita with no actual ingredients in it. It's not like they are slammed or anything either, it's midday stuff. So, the owner Chris reached out to me after I contacted her in lieu of leaving a bad Yelp! review first. I didn't want to look like a Karen, although I no longer care at this point. Chris said next order was on her. That never happened. Fine, I stuck with them. What do I get for that? About $4 worth of the driest gyro meat I've ever had, obviously it was the crappy stuff before putting a new spit on. Nice, Then again with the Spanikopita. It literally looks half eaten! Sometimes you get fresh gyro meat and full Spanikopitas but then sometimes you get crap. Spin the wheel and pray I guess ‍ It's the same every single time I go in now even though I tip 20% every time (for a pick up order!). Yet, this place just continues to go downhill. It's annoying because they were amazing when they opened (see my review from just last year!!!) Ya'll need to do better! Especially with Mike and Tony's and Gyroland and Bakery opening on Babcock Rd. They will put ya'll out of business QUICKLY at this rate. So anyway. I used to support this small business to the tune of thousands of dollars the past 3 years but I couldn't possibly be anymore done with them. Unless they want to send me a gift card and an apology, like they promised to last time when they originally stated they would, but even then I'd be a bit leary until they proved things have changed. I stopped by here a couple of Saturday's ago with my wife for dinner. We were thinking about ordering takeout whenever I remembered a review from a fellow Yelper from here and so decided to mention it to my wife. It's close enough to our house and she likes Greek food so was game. We decided to place our order via the telephone and arrived at the designated time with our order being ready. Whenever I first entered the restaurant, the only people there were 3 employees who were wearing their masks on their chins. Once I got inside though, they all did quickly pull them up. For dinner on this evening my wife and I both decided to go with the authentic yeero and then she also ordered the avgolemono soup. Whenever I got home and opened up my gyro I was surprised but not unhappy to see fries on the sandwich. I mean what's not to like about that Pittsburgh tradition? In any case I have to say that I really enjoyed my sandwich and that it was filling too! The meat on it is pork instead of the usual lamb and it was juicy and flavorful too. Then their tzatziki added a nice flavor to the dish as well. Between all of the pork and the fries on the gyro, I was actually full by the time I was done. My wife also enjoyed her gyro and soup, especially the lemon flavor of the soup. The bottom line for me is that I would stop by here again in the future. I'm so glad this place opened! It's a cute little space and you can see your food being made. I ordered over the phone for pickup and it was really easy and fast. My food was ready and waited for me at the designated time. I thought I was ordering falafels but accidentally ordered the wrap so I had lunch for the next day taken care of! I got 4 or 5 huge falafel in the pita! We got a traditional yeero (pork) and an American one (lamb/beef). Both were delicious but I liked the American one better. The pork was a little tough in some bites but so flavorful. We also got fries which were hand cut and seasoned perfectly. Currently sitting here eating lunch. One employee is BERATING the other the entire time we were there, without fail. The same employee also told a DoorDash worker that he was "going to shoot him in the head" because of a language barrier. I am DISGUSTED. Another family sitting here with us has three young children, and these two male employees are just.... BEYOND unacceptable!!!! I haven't tried too many Greek restaurants in Pittsburgh, and I don't eat Greek often, but Evia had high ratings. And, I unfortunately missed Greek Festival this year! It's a small shop 30 minutes away from my house. I decided to give them a try. Order the Keftethes (Greek meatballs), baklava cheesecake, Melomakarona (honey and walnut cookies), Galaktoboureko, and saganaki with pita. Wow, this food was very good. The meatballs were flavorful and huge! Their entree portions are absolutely enormous and it was just $12! Such a great deal. Their tzatziki dip pairs excellently with these meatballs. I could have bought a bottle of that sauce, or ordered an entire appetizer of tzatziki with pita. It's that good. Their rice is fluffy and buttery. Very good texture for rice (but no mix ins). The saganaki was an interesting appetizer. I bet it's a lot better if you dine in (I picked up my order) because it's called 'flaming cheese' meaning it should be hot. Still, I microwaved it and this cheese is for sure high quality (imported Kefalograviera cheese). It's somewhat like a combination of mozzarella with feta, but hardened. There is pita served with it, and this pita is very good. Way better than store bought. I love that it soaked up some of the cheese oils. Their desserts are also very high quality and clearly homemade. My favorite was surprisingly their Melomakarona, honey and walnut cookies. The price is excellent and the flavors are too. Buttery, sweet, and just incredible. For just $3, why not try them? Just add them to your order, and you'll enjoy these lovely cookies which are typically eaten at Christmas time. The 2 other desserts I tried were good, but not as good as the cookies. The galaktoboureko was tasty but I wish there was more custard. The honey topping was great though, and there was quite a bit of cinnamon. The Baklava cheesecake was creamy and unique. The crust was made of walnuts. I enjoyed it. All in all, I highly recommend Evia Greek restaurant. I believe they are owned by the same family which owns Salonika Imports (which I've also been interested in trying). Their food is delicious, unique, authentic, and cheap for the portions! read more

We came here on a Friday afternoon, and we were the only dine in customers. They were pretty busy with takeouts. The staff was super friendly and attentive. They patiently explained what some of the dishes were. It felt like walking into someone's home and they were excited that we were there. I ended up getting the moussaka and it was like Greek lasagna. It was lightly seasoned and great with the pita bread. The side salad alone though was more than enough to fill me up. The greek fries were also really good. My friend had the shrimp yeero and liked it. I would love to come back and try some other dishes! read more

Having heard so many positives about this place, I drove over here to see what all the hype was all about. Evia is the latest authentic Greek fast casual takeout and delivery (via Grub Hub) to open in Bellevue. Please note that you can also order ahead on the phone and it will be ready for you upon arrival. Paper menus are available in the ordering area to take with you. I decided to order for myself an authentic "yeero" with chicken breast replacing the pork shoulder which is served on pita bread with fries, tomato, red onion, and Greek yogurt tzatziki. My husband asked me to pick him up and Americano gyro which I did. I was looking at the desserts while our gyros were being made and was a little disappointed at the size of them for the money spent. Nevertheless I decided to get the melomakarona (walnut cookies and honey) where you get 2 for $2.00 figuring I could split them with my husband when I got home. Even the baklava slices were very small. I also got to interview the counter lady regarding dietary options. I did learn that they have vegetarian options which can be made vegan upon request. They have very few gluten free options available on the menu. Needless to say I got here when it opened and by the time my order was ready there was a sizeable amount of people in here. The floor is marked for social distancing and masks are required during your visit. My order took about 15 minutes and I was on my way home to try out our gyros. What the size of the cookies lacked was made up in the size of both the yeero and the gyro. For $8.00 each you get a pretty generous size of both! The chicken yeero was very good and not overly messy as I expected. The fries on top weren't greasy and were just right. My husband also enjoyed his gyro sandwich which had been recently sliced right off the spit. The cookies were good but I wasn't overly impressed with them. I noticed on the menu that they do catering upon request. The menu is very extensive and you can get more bang for your buck whether you order a sandwich, meal, or salad. Since we went to Greece a few years ago, we love Greek Food and crave it constantly. Due to covid, there weren't as many Greek Festivals this year so I really needed it. Was so happy to hear Evia was opening in Bellevue right down the road from us. It took awhile for them to open, but it was so worth it. We absolutely loved and have had it multiple times. Here are the things we liked the best. Pastitsio is one of my favorite Greek dishes. It was so smooth, creamy and delicious and my absolute favorite thing they make. My second favorite thing they make is their American gyro. It was so big that I ate it across two days. The meat was so tender and delicious. They were very generous with the portion. The only thing that I thought should have been there was feta. I really missed it and wished I had it. My husband's favorite thing was the lamb skewer and rice pilaf. He said both were delicious. I personally think for what they're charging, you should get more than one skewer. When we go to a Greek Restaurant, we always try the lemon and chicken soup. Theirs is very good. He also really enjoyed the oregano chicken that is only available twice a week. It was moist and delicious. Sadly, the lemon potatoes were very disappointing. They were hard and not very flavorful. Those are usually our favorites. Hope they improve over time. My mom loved the Greek Salad. The Greek Fries were really good wish they had a bit more feta but they're very reasonably priced. The halloumi fries were just ok. Would like to try the saganaki the next time. We really enjoy it and will be back on a regular basis. You definitely need to go check it out ASAP. read more

AMAZING!!! I do not have enough good things to say about this restaurant, and am especially impressed that they seem to have their sh** together right out of the gate! That is rare and unexpected in the best way. I ordered a relatively large meal for pick-up the week of November 20th (their soft opening week). I was told it would be ready for pickup in 30 minutes and it was. By the time I got everything home it needed a quick re-heating, and that's my only piece of constructive criticism in what was an overall stellar experience. Meanwhile, two other people were in line to pick up their large orders at the same time as I, and more were walking in as I was leaving. Considering how busy they were in their first few days, I'm shocked and delighted that I received such an amazing meal with nothing out of order. The food is simply fabulous. I've had a ton of authentic Greek food in my lifetime and this rivals any I've had. The menu is just big enough to offer a wide variety for any palette and dietary need (I'm living a low-carb lifestyle and had multiple options) and just small enough to not be completely overwhelming. Their Facebook page says they make everything from scratch, and it only took me removing my food from the bag to realize this is 100% true. The quality is there, the prices are excellent, and the portions are above average. I ordered the Beets & Grilled Manouri Cheese Salad for $9 and added a side of pork yeero. They smartly put the pork (a gigantic portion for only $3 extra) on the side so the greens weren't wilted in the least, and the slice of manouri cheese on my salad was larger than the portion I buy when I go to PennMac in the Strip! Additionally, I ordered the Halloumi Fries which were tasty and much more satisfying than any fried cheese stick I've had, though the spicy yogurt harissa while yummy could've had a tad more flavor/spice. My friend ordered the Authentic Yeero and said it was as good as any Greek sandwich they've ever had. The hand-cut fries looked especially tasty. Go here. You'll likely love it.
