I tried their plain cheese calzone and a brownie with caramel. The calzone was quite interesting. It's probably the greasiest calzone I've had in a while, but surprisingly, it was still really good. Most of the grease had already spilled out of the calzone by the time I bit in. It's topped with a ton of garlic, so the bread part tasted like garlic bread. It was really good. Plus, the calzone was stuffed with an adequate amount of cheese (mozzarella mostly, and a little bit of ricotta as well). Quite good. Portion size was great for the small, and price was around $14 so not too bad. Sauce on the side was sweet but cold when served. The brownie was really good. It was super fudgey and had large chunks of chocolate scattered throughout it. Very soft. It's absolutely delicious and honestly one of the best brownies I've had in a while. And, it's huge! It's like four brownies in one order for $5. All in all, I think this place is underrated. Atmosphere isn't the best, but the people are kind (they came out with my food while I was waiting in the car and were courteous). The calzone tasted like a garlic bread with cheese filling and brownie was amazing.

Also, the prices are fantastic for the portion size and quality of the food. Jimmy Z's hallmark square pizza is delicious, but my favorite menu item is their Stromboli! Their famous "zoagies" are also out of this world. You can't go wrong with a classic Italian! 10/10 would recommend stopping at Jimmy Z's if you're in the area and want a taste of some classic Southwestern PA comfort food! Also, If you'd like a beer with your pizza head over to Helltown across the street. It's a great combo.

I ordered 6 square slices and some of the cheese bread (bread sticks stuffed with cheese). The pizza wasn't bad. Better than I thought it would be. The ingredients tasted very good. The stuffed bread sticks weren't very good. They kind of taste frozen with a weird taste to the cheese. Better experience than I expected so if I'm in a pinch for some quick square slices maybe I'll stop again

Years and years ago I ended up here with a friend who wanted to show me this different kind of pizza. And every year I come back to pittsburgh, I have to stop by. Yes all the ingredients on top are not cooked. But the pizza as well as the sauce underneath is cooked. And it makes for quite an exciting combination! I just tried anchovies with onions and it was so interestingly good and different. Maybe not for everybody but it totally worked for me! I got the pizza to go this time but they do have a dining room with a soda machine and it's first come first serve for seats. It's turning into one of those things I'm doing every time I come to town! Thanks for being here Beto's!

And then, the high quality provolone and decent pepperoni are thrown on top. It's sold by the price and pretty reasonable, honestly. It can get expensive if you go crazy with toppings though. I like that they had ginger ale as a fountain beverage option, as that's not something you see often. It's cute and charming. It was pretty busy but worth it. The area where it lost marks was that one of the employees came out with apron on. There's a rack right outside to hang aprons. The food was great for the novelty, but the hygiene. Ooof.
