I really enjoyed my sausage and pepperoni pizza. The crust was nice and chewy, and the toppings had some crunch. The sausage was nice and spicy like Italian sausage should taste. Mangia! Leftovers were delicious as well. On to desserts: cheesecake was your standard fare, nothing of note. The cannoli was a terrific size for an individual portion and the cream had a mild sweet flavor. The crust was nice and very flaky. My only complaint is that some of the crust seemed a bit over cooked. On to tiramisu: I did not enjoy this at all. I am not sure if the mascarpone was off, the ladyfingers weren't soaked long enough, or if it was that there was only one layer of ladyfingers that threw it off. Regardless, it was not good. I do not recommend ordering this dessert. That said, please go to this restaurant for the pizza! That's the reason to go anyway and the pizza ROCKS!

I had hoped this would be like a paneer pizza from any fast food chain in India. And that was the case, mostly. The person at the store was really helpful in answering our questions and guiding us to an order we were happy with. The medium size spicy paneer was comfortable for 2, but if you're really hungry a large size could work too. The flavors were good and the amount of paneer topping was generous. The crust isn't flatbread thin - it's not crispy - but yes, it doesn't have much rise to it. But it also doesn't get soggy - we had our pizza about 30 minutes after picking it up. My only reason to hold back one star is the price. I thought it was a bit high - so it makes this a lovely novelty option but wish I could say it's everyday value.

Everything tasted fresh but the meat sauce in the lasagna was too salty for me and the children. The lasagna is decent sized like other restaurants and could indeed feed 2 people. Although we weren't really impressed with the lasagna, the tiramisu was really good though, good portion size for what it's worth and the espresso was strong. Maybe we'll try their pizza next time.

Was in the area doing some shopping and walking back to my car, they had a sign for a special personal pizza with two toppings for $5. It smelled good from outside do I couldn't help but stop in. It seems to be family owned and the whole family works there, they were super nice and friendly. The pizza is made to order, you can see them getting the dough ready. There is some seating inside and outside. I took mine to go but was able to grab a sit while I waited. The pizza was done fairly quickly and it was cooked perfectly. It was delicious and a great value for your money. I would definitely pop in here again and grab a bit to eat.

I got the butter chicken sauce pizza and as a lover of both pizza and butter chicken, it was disappointing. Pretty bland crust and you could barely taste the sauce. Overall great idea and not great execution.

I have ordered pizza a few times here through Lunch Drop and have never been disappointed. I have tried the Hawaiian, Texan, and the Four Formagi pizzas all Personal Sized and on Thin Crust. Each Pizza I have had have been delicious and well worth ordering again. The ingredients are of high quality and they do not skimp on the cheese. I love their Thin Crust and the Personal size have always been filling for me. I love how they pile on those toppings. The variety of ingredients to top your pizza with is perfect and the flavors blend well complimenting each other for a well balanced dish! Next time I believe I will customize my own pizza. The quality and quantity make the prices well worth it - which is not even extreme at all. Thank you for delicious pizza, I will definitely order again and I highly recommend this place to all Pizza Lovers!

So disappointed. They called me almost 40 minutes after ordering to tell me that they don't have the vegetarian lasagna, said they could do a meat one . I would have ordered that if that's what I wanted. I decided to go with the eggplant parmasean, which was were poorly cooked. There were some pieces of eggplant that seem to have been thrown in at the last minute, it was like biting into a raw eggplant. Some pieces of the eggplant was cooked ok, most of it was raw. The wings are usually quite succulent, but the ones I got last night were dry and the flavor was off. This disappointing food, took over 70 minutes to be delivered, almost twice as long as indicated. I'm not going to be ordering food from them any more. read more

I tried this place because it was the closest to me at the time. When I walked in i was a little cautious because the place had a dark look to it like it was a old pizza joint that had been there for years and at some point they did minor restoration and remodeling. The place was empty no customers, it's customer area seemed clean.You can't really see the pizza kitchen that well like at a dominoes so that did have me wondering what to expect.The soda cooler was fully stocked, the dessert section had a variety. Pizza is a funny thing and I can be particular now when eating it because in the past when I wasn't particular Ive gotten sick. This place with all the things I've written in this post about it DID NOT MAKE ME SICK. Not one stomach cramp or digestive issue. The guy working that day was nice and friendly he also made a good pizza. After u order he reads the order back to you to make sure it is correct which is what people should always do when ordering food its just that little thing called accuracy. They have the options i like in my pizza gluten free, vegan, vegetarian, lacto-vegetarian, and then of course regular pizza dishes for those who want a free for all. I just ordered a simple vegan pizza that was the bomb. I like how the cheese was put on last it serves as a blanket over all the ingredients and helps the pizza stay warmer longer. Thats a trick i use when i make pizza at home. read more

Dissapointed ..way over priced for what you get ordered a 12 inch pizza and cannoli .. Was WAY over priced very tasty though just soggy pizza took to long to deliver and cannoli was way too small very dissapointed and debating on whether to call and complain but it's whatever .. Everytime I tried to order from them, something went wrong. Finally. I've wised up and have just decided to skip it alltogether. I can do without 'natural' as long as I just get pizza. Even something frozen from the store would be a big improvement over these clowns and the way they treat customers/potential customers. Don't even waste your time with them. read more

First time customer to Promise. NEVER AGAIN!! I ordered delivery one pizza and two salads total $27.00. When I heard the knock on the door I went to the door with my cash in hand like normal. I was greeted by a woman who looked like she sleeps in a dumpster. She gave me the food and I took it inside. I gave her a twenty and a ten and she acted as if I was going to give her the remainder as a tip. When I asked for my change she gave me a weird energy. I then handed her two dollars as a tip which I thought was plenty considering I don't have to give any body a tip if I don't feel like it. She started to walk away down the side walk without saying thank you and turned to me with a look of disgust and said "I don't need this" and threw it right down on the sidewalk and left. I stood speechless looking down at the money blowing around in the wind on my porch. I shut the door not knowing what to do at that point trying to keep myself from going into snap mode on this woman. She actually come back and got the money while the door was closed! I was on the phone calling the store back before she left my street and the guy on the phone didn't give a shit what so ever! He said don't take offense she grew up on a farm and acts like she don't need money. Bullshit! If she didn't need money why is she a fucking pizza delivery driver! And don't forget she came back and picked up the cash. I will make sure to tell everyone I know about what a great experience I had with Promise. And hey Promise fire that crazy lady before she ruins your reputation completely! As for the food it was nothing worth talking about. I Promise to never give my money to Promise again! read more

My husband and I recently moved to Austin from the Northeast and have had a difficult time finding good pizza in the area. Pizza was great - nice fresh organic vegetables. Crust was good, also. Wife got a guten-free pizza and says it was the best. We also had our pup join us while eating the pies outside. Chef / owner was also very accomodating and personable.Overall great experience. read more

My husband and I had been planning on eating at Jason's Deli next door but saw a sign for an organic pizza and thought we'd check it out. We are gluten free and generally skip pizza places because the gluten free pizzas that we've had from other places always leave us disappointed. The store was clean and the owner greeted us and made us feel immediately comfortable by chatting us up about our family. The owner did clarify with us that we did have a gluten allergy and was very accommodating. We ordered a gluten free sweet Hawaiian and it was amazing! The ingredients were exceptionally fresh, the fresh basil was what really set it off and the crust was the best I've ever had anywhere. My husband and I also enjoyed the flourless chocolate cake which was beyond decadent and was a great finish to our meal. We will definitely be coming back again soon and sending our friends and family to check it out too. read more

While there pizza's are a little expensive, they are easily worth the price. They aren't the heavy greasy things you get at most chain pizza restrauants. You can actually taste the individual ingrediants, and they are fresh, and worth tasting. read more

Definitely deserves 5 stars! We're newbies to Promise Pizza, but every time we order, whether it's delivery or pick up, it's amazing! We've had almost all of their specialty pizzas, the wings and garlic knots. All of it is delicious. The pizza is great the next day too. Cold even! My favorite is the BBQ Chicken. All of the ingredients always taste fresh. I'm not a big fan of onions, but if I can eat them cold the next day, I'm impressed. read more

Established in 2010.

Chef Bertosi had experience in Italian cuisine for over 25 years. When he came to Austin as an executive consultant, he was enchanted by the city and then decided to settle here permanently. Our family loves pizza and we're always on the lookout for new pies. We don't mind paying a little more for a superior product and willing to pay extra for amazing service as well. We realize that you typically get what you pay for. We went to their store last weekend and ordered take out, thinking it would be faster than ordering for delivery. Methinks not! Our wait was extremely long nevertheless. On to reviewing the pizza: We ordered two different kinds of pizzas. One for us and one for the kids. The kids was a plain pepperoni pizza on regular white crust. We ordered a thin wheat crust with various veggie and meat toppings. The kids are never picky eaters and like pretty much all kinds of pizzas. Promise Pizza, however, did not deliver in making the kids enjoy their dinner. After a couple of bites, it was clear that they were not going to finish their slice. Their complaints were: to much sauce, not enough cheese, too sweet, and the crust was too hard to chew. For my wife and I, the complaints were similar. Although we did enjoy the taste of the fresh veggie toppings, they were pretty cheap on the quantity of toppings and failed to deliver on cheese as well. The thin crust was hardly thin at all/ Actually, their thin crust would be considered regular crusts in many restaurants. There just wasn't much of a difference between the regular and the thin crust at all. Conclusion is that we will not return to Promise Pizza. We are not fans. read more

We recently ordered a cauliflower pizza from what I believe is a ghost kitchen affiliated with Pizza Day. Let me tell you, it was absolutely fantastic! I've had similar cauliflower crusts in the past, so I assume they come from the same manufacturer. Not only does this pizza taste amazing, but the crust is also keto-friendly. While I understand that not everyone is concerned about low-carb options, for individuals who need to follow a low-carb diet, such as diabetics and epileptics, these crusts are a true blessing. I truly appreciate it when restaurants consider people like us and I make a conscious effort to order from them as often as possible to show my support. I was visiting Austin from the northern Midwest. Promise pizza, nonchalantly nestled adjacent to Jason's Deli and Sprout, is an unassuming diamond in the rough. I thoroughly enjoyed the Hawaiian calzone with whole wheat dough. The flavors were exquisite. Chef Bertosi is brave enough to allow his ingredients to shine without the false pretenses of needless additives. House-blended cheese, Canadian bacon, pineapple, basil, house made whole wheat dough, and homemade tomato sauce. Fantastic. I have visited many places (Rome, Naples, New York City, and Boston) known for food and Promise is easily some of the best food I have ever eaten. I've ordered from here three times in the past month and every experience has gotten progressively worse. I really wanted to like this place due to the unique menu options, which is why I kept ordering, but it's just too awful to ignore at this point. To keep it succinct, here are the lowlights: - delivery always takes longer than the estimate - food always arrives cold (I live 5 miles away) - pizzas arrive with random extra ingredients not listed on menu (like raisins, which I am highly allergic to. I am used to eat healthy food, and Promise Pizza is the best place for that. The owner has been very attentive and willing to make everything I need. The many options is fresh and healthy, I have tried the gluten free options, it is unbelievable how delicious the taste is. The owner and his family are adorable and they make gluten free garlic knots and calzone when I ask and I know these are not part of the menu in gluten free crust. I really love the owner and Promise Pizza has been the best place to eat for me and my family. read more

I'm from NYC and I've enjoyed great pizzas here and in Italy but I recently had some Spectacular pizzas at this location for a full week during a business trip to Austin. I was driving by and decided to check it out, I was very impressed by the quality of the ingredients and taste. After that i called every single day for delivery to my office, 3 -5 pizzas dally with salads etc.. Chef Bertosi took great care of us. The pizzas were always cooked to perfection and hot. The pizzas are delicious. If you are a spicy food lover, you should try spicy paneer and spicy chicken here. Also heard that all Fusion pizzas are excellent. Pizza has never been my favorite food, but now I am craving for spicy paneer @Pizza Day at least once a week. I like the thin crust and fresh organic ingredients. The flavors are just right, and you can taste the freshly chopped ginger and cilantro in this dish. These are awesome and much healthier than any typical pizzas. My pizza is always absolutely perfect. When I lived in Austin, I would get a pizza at least once a week from Promise. There is never disgusting globs of grease I have to mop off with multiple napkins, the ingredients are always fresh and cooked perfectly, and the employees are always nice and polite. If you like great quality organic pizza, Promise Pizza is a must! 5 stars all the way! read more

I understand your anger at being dismissed Chad, but as new owner and chef of Promise Great Hills, I clarify that our pizzas are still fully organic. I keep the same organic products, however, I only added to the menu special meals to suit all customers. Brandon Harris, was objectively the sweetest pizza guy I've ever had, in every sense of the word; he took my order over the phone, made the pizza with my persnickety requests and brought it to my house in just under twenty minutes (with a cute smile to boot). This is a great mom and pop Pizza restaurant. I ordered a calzone and have to say this was the best calzone I have ever had all fresh ingredients hand made sauce by the owner in his store not made in some factory someplace. I will definitely be back and order pizza next time. read more
