I would have posted a picture but the pizza was too good to wait. I am born and raised in Austin. I have been a yucks for ordering from Jabba the hut and pappa yawns - my husband actually was a delivery driver for the hut. Truly the best pizza I've ever eaten! The person who took my order was outright rude. I placed my order and was told I had to pay for the food over the phone and the food would take 20 minutes. I arrived to pick up my food. They forgot to make one of the pizzas. I asked a question, but the rude employee kept cutting me off. When I asked how long, he stated real quick. This place has terrible employees who don't know what customer service 101 is. The manager was there but ignored customers. This is my third issue with this place in the last month. Austin's Pizza has salads, pizza rolls, calzones, pizzas and more. They are allergy conscious if that is a concern of yours. They have many options and the flavors usually meld nicely. It's a little pricey for fast pizza and they charge for dips, which is kind of odd but the overall experience is good. This is the only location I recommend going to though as not all are the same. read more

Well...ordered a 10" margarita pizza and 10 spicy bbq wings for delivery. Pizza was 2/5 and wings were just not good at all. Pizza: very thin crust, not cooked well, or at least doesn't have a good dough, cheese was thicker than the pizza, it was cold by the time it arrived. and whatever cheese they use is just not working for them. Wings: quality was very low in meat, ordered spicy bbq sauce (not good), however the price wasn't too bad for 10 wings/ Either way, probably won't come back here. We've only had great experiences here, we usually pick up or have delivery and have never had any issues with either. Currently I'm addicted to their "The Haole" pizza, it's sooo good. Pepperoni, bacon, cilantro, chopped pineapple, red onions, and mozzarella on a crispy crust. It's never greasy, the bacon is always super crunchy, and even if I eat half of a large in one sitting I never feel grotesque after. Always tastes fresh, never burnt, two thumbs up here. read more

The gluten free crust is awesome! They do a $5 up charge on it, which if you're like me and in the mood for pizza, it's worth it. It's a 10" personal and I got it with pepperoni and fresh jalapeños. The cheese was super creamy and delicious, and the toppings were just right. My husband got the Bacon Pizzaburger personal pizza and he said it was really good. The place itself was just eh, which is typical of a pizza joint you'd find in my home state of NJ. The service was friendly, but a little unwelcoming at first. Overall, I'd go back! read more

Not the best pick for Gluten Free in town. A small mopac combo pizza runs about $17 before tip. Crust was strong unlike many gluten free crusts but topics and sauce were sparse. Overall not a very flavorful pizza. I originally planned to eat in the store but it wasn't very inviting. The two employees working there seemed very down too..bummer vibe. This is a review of the company policies. I attempted to order from Austin's pizza on Tuesday March 21st, at 9:30 p.m. I was informed that the restaurant closed at 10, I actually had to correct her. They close at 11. She kept saying things like "technical difficulties" and lying to me after I said I just wanted to place a personal order for 12 rolls. How one can have "technical difficulties" when all I wanted was a pizza roll, I will never know. I told her I was going to Double Dave's then, which I did. Story over, right?! WRONG She contacted Austin's Pizza corporate (for whatever reason) and tried to get me in trouble with my job. I received a text message from work asking about "a problem with an austin's pizza order." I told them what I told you all. I also said, I like pizza rolls, because I do. Double Daves will be seeing me a lot more in the near future, all because one employee tried to underhandedly get me in trouble? No thank you. First of all, I was not on any sort of clock, and I was not representing any business. Since I can't review the one on burnet road I have to review this one because of the BAD Food I ate. I ordered two orders of pickle chips and my boyfriend and I both ended up throwing them up. We decided to give them another chance after that and ordered chips and salsa (chips were terrible tasting and stale), the French fries that came with our chicken tenders order were ORANGE and you could tell they hadn't changed the oil they use to fry as they tasted like numerous fried food. The tenders themselves were cold and mushy! Not even crunchy and they were obviously frozen and they reheated becuase they were YELLOW on the inside. Terrible food multiple times. We've been ordering Austin's pizza for years. They're the best - no contest. We really appreciate the effort they put into making the pizzas. When we order from them, we know we're getting a darn good meal. We've tried just about every "Specialty Pizza" they offer...and they're all winners. The BBQ chicken pizza is our favorite, though. In the past they have messed up our order once or twice. They're always polite about it and always make up for the blunder by giving us "$5 off next purchase" coupons. That's a fair trade, I think. Con: We know it can be confusing to get into our building if you've never done it before, so we give people simple directions (seriously simple - even a monkey could follow them). The individual who takes our order always assures us that the directions will be passed along with our order. Most of the Austin's Pizza delivery drivers follow the directions and find their way up here without a problem; however, a particular young woman constantly neglects to follow the directions and eventually takes the stairs up. She has delivered here several times. Every time she has an issue getting up here and every time she expresses her frustration with a pissy attitude. The thing is, we're nice folks. We're sympathetic - those stairs are no fun...but don't blame us for the fact that your foundation is melting when you're the one who didn't follow the simple directions - and expect your tip to decrease by $1 with every one of your divalicious eye-rolls. read more

Austin's Pizza is like the romantic subplot of a Chris Farley film; it's helpful to keep the action going, but ultimately forgettable. If you visit the actual restaurant, I recommend getting your food to go or just eating it in your car. The dining area is pretty depressing, like a gas station restaurant from 1987, but the staff is super nice. If dealing with people isn't your thing, Austin's Pizza does have a really nice online ordering interface. For some reason, if I'm ordering pizza on the phone and I want more than 3 ingredients, I start to worry that I sound like some sort of demanding pizza diva and end up leaving a few things off my list . But, with their system, I can fearlessly go custom ingredient crazy. The best thing about Austin's Pizza is their cornmeal crust, which occupies the no-man's land between regular and thin crust. Their ingredients are good and diverse, and the pizza is tasty, but nothing that's going to knock your socks off. *This review is for delivery service only* Since I'm a huge fan of thin crust pizza, I tried out Austin's Pizza based on a friends recommendation. It was a lazy, rainy day, so delivery seemed like a great idea. One quick call to this place, and we were off & running. We were quoted about a 45 minute wait time, but the delivery guy was definitely knocking on the door in under 30. Not too shabby given the weather & whatnot! Given my proclivity for thin crust, I had high expectations of this pizza. Fortunately, I was not disappointed. The crust wasn't mushy or over cooked and provided a great foundation for the sauce and toppings. The sauce was applied generously, but didn't weigh down the pizza at all. I liked the smooth flavor of the sauce - no lingering after taste and no mushy tomatoes. They certainly did not skimp on the toppings, either. My slices were piled with pepperoni & sausage, both of which were quite good & not overly greasy. And it was even good re-heated once I needed a snack later ;) They have a 2 large pizza for $22 special, which was perfect for our small crowd of hungry folks. After tax & delivery fee, our total came out to about $27 and, once we tossed in a few bucks for tip, we paid just over $30. Given that we had enough food to feed at least 4 (very hungry) people, I'd say the pricing is pretty spot on. When I'm in the area & craving some pizza, I'll be looking up these guys again! I originally tried Austin's pizza in Cedar Park (hmm) at my mom's house as this is her fav. pizza to order now. It's good, but sometimes it took forever to be delivered. However the far west location is the one I order from at home and they are fast! I'm at St.Johns/Lamar and I usually have my pizza 30 minutes after I order it. And the toppings are soooo good. You can mix and match your own of course but they have a decent list of specialty pizzas to pick from. Our favorite is the Brazos pizza-- canadian bac, pepperonis, onions,jalapenos, bell pep, and feta cheese. sooooooo yummy! I shouldn't even be reviewing them while I'm stuck at work in RR, cause now I want some pizza!! **And if you sign up for their email list they send out coupons pretty regularly. read more

I'm literally HANGRY right now. I called Austin's and placed an order over an hour ago. I called back when I thought something might be wrong and the call center woman Gracie was incredibly pleasant and helpful. She called the Far West Store and they apparently told her they received a call from someone saying they wanted to change the order to pick up? Not sure what happened, but that call never came from me. I live alone and no one else would have called on my behalf. Clearly someone there made mistake and didn't want to own up to it. Regardless, my complaint has nothing to do with the inconvenience, with the sweet girl Gracie that promised to compensate me for the order, but rather with her supervisor to whom I was transferred. After a mistake that was CLEARLY their fault, he said, "I understand there was some 'confusion' with your order?" No supervisor, there was no "confusion". Your staff made a mistake. All he told me was that they could either deliver me the old pizza that had been sitting there for 40 minutes or make me a new pizza and deliver it another 20-30 minutes later. Not wanting (and frankly too tired) to be a squeaky wheel and demand some compensation for the inconvenience I passive-aggressively said that I didn't want to wait an additional 30 minutes for a pizza I'd already waited an hour for. He quickly offered to cancel my order, let me go, and lost a sale and a loyal customer. I am so sick and tired of crappy customer service. I work in sales for a restaurant and would never let a guest leave dissatisfied knowing it was us that made the mistake. Genuinely surprised by all the bad reviews. This place is my go to pizza delivery - I love them! The thin wheat crust options as well as low sugar sauces make for a less-greasy-than-usual pizza guzzling experience. Obviously no one orders pizza with the intention of doing anything other than scarfing down twice as much food as you need but it's nice to know that I won't have a cheese and grease hangover to deal with in the morning as well as the sight of sad empty pizza boxes! Delivery takes a little while yes, but the delivery people have always been polite and friendly. And I would always rather spend a couple of extra dollars and have it go local as supposed to papa johns! read more

We order from this Austin's Pizza location at least once a week (and yes, we're getting fat). Since we order so often, of course our order gets messed up occasionally, but usually both the food and the service are great. And the delivery people are always very nice. I like the pesto sauce - add some goat cheese, breakfast bacon, garlic and portabella mushrooms for a tasty combo. But the Bacon Pizzaburger, Downtown Special, and Brazos are always delicious choices. Plus, they deliver salads! Always a good addition when you end up ordering pizza every four days. They recently added online ordering - doesn't really make it any faster, but if you don't like the phone, I guess it's easier. My only complaint is they charge a $2 delivery fee. And when their computer system goes down, which it seems to every few months, it can take two hours to get a pizza. But it's worth it. read more

Not only are their prices cheaper than pizza hut (yuk), dominos (double yuck), or papa john's (okay, but not my fav), but they have fresh toppings that are waaay better than anything the big boys above put on a pizza. My favorite is the Downtown Special. If you like salads Austin Pizza's portions are awesome. I can get two meals out of one salad! The delivery guys are a super awesome and nice. As a general rule, I don't even like pizza. But I have to say... this pizza is GOOD STUFF. By far the most vegetarian friendly pizza place, ever. You can get everything from artichokes hearts to spinach to cilantro on your pizza. It's even friendly to VEGANS! You can substitute real cheese for soy cheese, at no extra charge. Gotta love that. I give a word of caution -- you can't be too eager to eat when you get your pizza, because it comes out HOT. Be careful not to burn your mouth (I'm speaking from experience). I've had lots of different combinations, but my favorite is cheese pizza topped with mushrooms and feta cheese. Something about this combination is simply mouth-watering. read more

We had a group of 9 show up for our outing to Austin's Pizza. The small interior table setup (this location seems to be more of a take-n-go setup)didn't allow us to visit easily, so we braved the January weather and sat at the outside tables. Our group split 3 large pizzas (it turns out that they no longer offer burgers on the menu... despite Yelp reviews to the contrary); the Californian, Mediterranean, and the MoPac. These 3 pizzas were just the right amount for 7 adults. All agreed that the pizza was fantastic... although the crust could have been a bit crisper. A quick trip down the block for some good strong ale finished off the evenings culinary offerings. read more
