Very good NY pizza served with a healthy side of NY attitude no extra charge!! My first time here - we came in with 7 family members including a couple small kids. We asked an employee (who had been staring us down) if we could just sit at an empty table (there was a sign that said wait to be seated but we didn't see a hostess and No one came over). He got nasty and told us we need to go on the other side and wait like every one else. I didn't realize there WAS another side! Sure enough there were tables, all full and a server / host told us there's a 30 minute wait. We just wanted pizza (emphasized this) so we asked if we could sit at an empty table on the other side and he said sure but we need to order at the counter - perfect, it's want we wanted initially! We ordered all kinds of slices, Sicilian, plain, toppings, you name it. It was all excellent! Served hot, with crispy crust and great ingredients. The pizza is really good and our friend told us the foods excellent too. We live in CT but grew up in NY / NJ and love NY pizza and this didn't disappoint! It was so good I bought an extra whole Sicilian and brought it home to Hartford! There was one guy behind the counter who was very nice and helpful but the other 2 seemed angry we even stopped in. Odd way to treat customers. My " first round" of slices and sodas was $71 and I added a $10 tip thinking I'd turn them around. I know it's not a huge % but this is selfie-serve! First time trying out PC and will definitely be coming back!! Wow, I haven't seen Italian good portions this big in a hot minute. So worth the $$ price tag as you will take a doggy bag home. I have underestimated this place! I always thought this was just a pizza spot based on the looks of it from the outside (fine example of don't just a book by its cover). We heard about the wait times for dinner so we hurried to the restaurant and by 6:30PM, this place was packed. I'm guessing the area in the back of the restaurant is for large groups and if you have kids, you'll be seated more towards the front. We were offered a seat by the area where people grab slices of pizza and sit down to eat. Since we had our young toddlers, we didn't mind and didn't want to wait 30 minutes for a table. Immediately served with warm, hot bread - so good! That garlic bread...drool. Order was taken by such a nice guy who got us our food quick. Margheritta pizza - I liked this alot. We usually start at places with this simple but classic pizza to see what we can determine about a pizza place. I love how the basil is scattered all over the pizza. The sauce is good and you can taste how much flavor is in it. Love the crispiness. Fried calamari - chunks of calamari were fine and good but it could have been fried a bit longer, which would have been perfect. Chicken florentine entree with ceppellini pasta in olive oil and garlic - I LOVED this dish. That chicken was so tender! Great combination with the sauce, spinach, melted cheese. Nothing was overpowering. Everything was well balanced. The pasta was just the right amount to accompany the meal and great to share. Really nicely done. This is a great family-friendly establishment. My family can't wait to come back. We enjoyed the food a lot and the service made us feel welcome. It's a must try and go to if you are in the area and love Italian food. Go to for me is a mushroom pepporoni pie. Great crust and fresh great toppings. It has the right about of crunch and chewyness that a great pizza pie should have. As for Italian dishes, must gets are the calamari with red sauce. Fried calamari delicious with the spicey red sauce that have pepperoncini in it. Tasty. Other musts are the burrata appetizer and the grilled portobello mushroom salad. For pasta dishes you can't go wrong with the linguini with clams, and the seafood pasta over squid ink pasta. Also the chicken parm is a must. Always good service. Always fresh and tasty. My go to Italian restaurant, whether you want NY style pizza, brick oven pizza, or signature Italian dishes this place has it all. The front side of the restaurant is a casual pizzeria, the back is full scale dining. Friendly staff, minimum wait , and a parking lot. The small size brick oven pizza is the perfect size to share as an app, pasta dishes are huge. My favorite is the chicken parmigiana with comes with pasta on the side, my go to is the angel hair pasta with fra diavlo (spicy tomato) sauce. For appetizer I recommend the baked clams which come in a delicious sauce, I suggest holding off on eating the bread when it first hits the table and waiting to dip it in the sauce! I've been a lifelong Glendale resident and have been coming here since it first opened. Unfortunately with time moving on and I guess business picking up to call in an order on a weekend I would not recommend. Their wait time can be anywhere from 40 minutes to an hour just too long. To wait for takeout or delivery. When wanting to eat here. We try to get there early and actually eat within the restaurant. read more

Something has happened to Pizza Classica. Is it under New Management because the Pizza SUCKS. The Sauce has changed because it's not the sauce it use to be. It has to have been over the summer because it was the same Pizza Classica i the beginning of the year. The Pizza is thinner and the cheese and sauce is sparing and the employees are all different. I usually get a pie and Shrimp Parmigiana and the Sauce is suppose to be the same all around but the sauce taste like it came from a can. Not even a good one. Who bought Pizza Classica and didn't change the name. Tried to pull one over on the neighborhood? You can't fool me. Won't be back because there is better pizza out there that won't play these kind of games with my MONEY and I'm willing to drive a distance for a better slice. read more

The food is always delicious and plentiful. Both the casual pizza side and back dining room are generally full, and i do both take out and dine in. The only turn off is that they keep your silverware on the table for the whole meal, instead of removing it when you are finished with your appetizer and bringing new cutlery for the main course. First time ordering delivery, and I am a new fan! Online ordering process was seamless. Delivery was within the hour delivery time, which was terrific. I had the Veal Marco Polo, which has asparagus, mushrooms, prosciutto and mozzarella. I think I have enough for 3 meals!! You are still able to go and grab a slice, roll or calzone or order from their menu for more of a meal. Their pizza is great everything from a regular slice to a chicken bacon ranch version; none of them disappoint. Their food is also wonderful. Some of my favorites are Chicken Parm, Cavatelli Bolognese and Chicken Francese. They also make a mean linguine with garlic and oil. Cauliflower Pizzaaaa, need I say more? My sister introduced me to this place and now I owe her my whole life! Lol. I never tasted Cauliflower Pizza before and now, let's just say, I have an addiction. I do tend to watch what I eat but I also love pizza. By getting the Cauliflower Pizza it doesn't make me feel as guilty and it still taste amazing. We always order the margarita style and the Classica Salad. Most of the time we order to go. They do get really busy, so I would suggest to call ahead of time so that your order is ready for a pick up without the wait. Their staff is pretty attentive and fast paced at taking orders that gets the line moving more quickly. Once in a while we do dine in. Luckily we had enough time to dine in couple of days ago. Our server Kelvin was incredible!! He left a long lasting impression on us. He always checked up on our table to make sure we had everything and never stopped smiling. As i've alluded to in other reviews, i need my pizza to have a crunch to it when i fold it to take that first bite. Limp or soggy crusts get no love from me! Pizza Classica's cheese pie is just okay. There was no crunch and the crust was weighed down by the cheese. The cheese itself was great, as was the sauce, but that crust needs some work. - Very good calzone. I ordered 2 calzones with spinach, mozzarella, and ricotta with marinara sauce on the side. The sauce needed more flavor, but the calzone itself was LEGIT. The ricotta tasted so fresh and smooth, and the saltiness from the mozzarella lent itself really well to the spinach. Overall: I'd return to dine in and maybe try their pasta as it looks like they've got a nice establishment and good calzones. Pizzas took a little longer than the rest of our orders so be aware. The zucchini I would pass on, the coating was thick and VERY small amount of zucchini. The calamari was excellent fried perfectly and tender not chewy. This photo was for two orders which we were unaware we ordered a double order. I had the lobster ravioli (6) it was nice but not filling. The chicken Franchise was good, get the same sauce on the pasta accompanying. Ask for extra sauce for your leftovers(you will have some). Steak sandwich was good and filling, took home half. This was the large grandma pizza and my pizza connoisseur nephew approved it. The margarita pizza was very thin crust and a little bland so I would pass on that. We had one lasagna order but thought it off and was replaced with a veal parmigiana sandwich which was excellent. The ambiance is nice, a pizzeria in front with seating and a large upper scaled dining area behind. They also have a party room which is pretty well soundproofed until the music starts (there was a large party going on there). They also have outside tables but this is in a shared parking area next to a parking structure currently under construction so dine inside. It also shares the parking with other stores one being a Stop & Shop so parking on main level is hard but there is a second level. The service was pretty good considering the huge party going on but the noise level was good everyone could hear each other. The bread basket was a little stale and the garlic bread greasy and needed something. The menu is pretty large so everyone should be able to find something. Food is very fresh, hence the longer than usual wait time. (totally worth it) I ordered the Fruta di Mare with squid ink linguine! I requested the squid ink linguine and I was not disappointed. The sea food was soooo darn fresh!! Do yourself a favor and order a seafood dish! Start with the calamari you'll know what I'm talking about it just tastes different. The servers are very friendly and have a good sense of humor. Our server handled our party of 6 with ease and was very attentive. The atmosphere is very laid back with the potential to be very classy however it's not treated as a high end Italian restaurant. Came here for dinner last night and as usual was not disappointed. The food is always good but I have to say, last night, the service was amazing. The Cesar salad has the perfect amount of anchovies where it just adds a little something and isn't overly fishy. I got the classica pasta with the cherry peppers and zucchini and it was really good. A little bit of Parmesan really took it over though. The service was the star though. The waiter we had was really nice and friendly and the other staff that came over to check on us multiple times were all so nice. My aunt likes to joke around and a lot of times waiters get nervous cause of her but these guys all joked right back with her which was nice. Hands down the best Sicilian slice you will ever have. It may look mediocre but once you bite in to it, your mind will be blown! It's got a perfectly fluffy and cheesy top and a perfect, thin, crunchy crust on the bottom. The texture is literally addictive. Unlike other pizzerias that serve soggy and nasty delivered pizza, their Sicilian maintains the perfect crunch. I usually freeze the leftovers and reheat them in the oven under 420 degrees. I've always driven by here but I never end stopped in until today. It's in a shopping plaza with its own parking garage which is very convenient. Some of the parking is covered too. It's all shared with everyone. There are a few rows right outside the restaurant as it's in the front part of the plaza. It's a decently decored restaurant. You can grab stuff to go or sit down and have a meal or slice. My first time here and I sat down and grabbed a quick lunch. I sat around the back where there was a bar as well. It's wasn't open for lunch though. The gnocchi was very good. Service was great. It was busy no rush on getting me out of finished. I'll be back to try the other things in the menu. read more

Win-win-win. However, recently their customer service has taken a severe hit. Look, I get it, the pandemic is causing stress and I get they're a popular place and are busy, but every single time I call to order I get a nasty voice telling me "Pizza Classica hold please!!!" And then I'm on hold for a minimum of 5-10 minutes. Today, on a slow Tuesday afternoon, I called four times, was placed on hold, held over a half an hour total before I said enough and went elsewhere.
