Been coming to North Myrtle Beach for years. Ordered this pizza for the first time tonight for our family. Everyone in our large group agreed that not only was it delicious but we will definitely be ordering from here again. It's an easy dinner when everybody has been traveling and getting in at different times. We stay at Sea watch and had absolutely no problems with delivery. The pizza was like a New York style. We got a Hawaiian and a pepperoni and bacon. Both were great. I would definitely recommend this place if you are staying in the north Myrtle Beach area. read more

Really hoped this would be a NY pizza place right outside our timeshare, unfortunately that was not the case. Originally from NJ, my husband and I are always looking for pizza like "home". This place was off by a mile. Started with the crust, bland and boring. Sauce tasted like it was straight out of a can labeled Tomato Sauce. We ordered tow pizzas and a salad on saturday evening, it was to be delivered to the Sea Watch South Tower. We never received our order, but our credit card was charged. We texted the driver several times with no response of our order, Pizza Chef said that it was delivered. No it wasn't delivered, I was outside of the South Tower waiting. We finally had to drive to Pizza Chef, to get our order that we paid for. After several minutes and showing text messages for the doordash driver, our order was made for us that they wanted us to pay again for. We were told that we would be refunded the order, tip and doordash charges. As of this morning we have not received any refund. The resturant should notify you when ordering that they will be contracting out the delivery to doordash, if we would of know that. We would of never ordered for delivery. We were not the only ones who had a problem with there delivery services to Sea Watch. My review that was left on Pizza Chef website was taken down, after they called and ask us to take our 1 star review down. We told them we would after we were refunded our money as Pizza Chef has stated! read more

We were staying on the Kingston plantation looking for a place to eat and this was just a walk up from where we staying. The pizza was decent we had meatball app, 12" pizza cheese, pep and banana peppers, 16" cheese pizza with pepperoni the addition was a bit overpriced for the pepperoni and an order of fried mushrooms. Definitely not a good place to go eat with a group larger than 4. There are a handful of booths inside and some tables outside, but a group of 5 or more probably won't be able to sit together at the same table. Inside was very hot and seemed to have no good air conditioning, so we opted to sit outside where we decided it was cooler - and given that it was a humid, 84 degree day in the middle of July, that should tell you how uncomfortable the temperature was inside the restaurant that we chose to sit outside. The pizza was below average compared to my expectations and other pizzas I've had in the past. The crust was very thin and the cheese was rubbery. We came in to town late and we were rushed to get dinner. This was close to our place so we gave it a try for take out. Was not disappointed! We had the supreme pizza and veggie sub. Small place, not a ton of seating. Pizza was good. 2 sizes...Med and Large. Super sub was about 10 to 12 inches long. Garlic bread with cheese was good. Drinks are in bottles. They charge extra for sides of ranch or extra mayo for your sub. Server was friendly. read more

Surprisingly the food wasn't bad. I ordered a cheese steak sandwich while it looked dry it was not. The provolone cheese was an added surprise. While there was not a lot on it it was seriously creamy. What did lack here is personality. The server showed none nor did she ever provide any hint of be happy or enjoying her job or day. Came down here from New York City and I heard about Pizza Chef and decided I had to try it. The inside of the shop is clean as is it the kitchen. The owner is incredibly sweet, as is the hostess. Ordered Sunday as it was one of the only pizza places open around us. The chicken strips, mushrooms and jalapeños bites were ok, the pizza however was inedible. There aren't many pizzas I'll turn my nose up to, but this one tasted off putting- I'm assuming from the amount of parmesan cheese used. Good points, the food we ordered was out in a very reasonable time and was good. The pizza is a New York style with somewhat crispy crust. We had cheesy bread and mild buffalo wings as appetizers. The wings are great for bone in wings. The garlic cheesy bread tasted good and as if it was made from scratch. I would definitely recommend Pizza Chef, but I would have preferred to get the food as takeout or delivery. I made a late night order, a chicken gyro, a order of jalapeño poppers, an order of fries, and a side of tiramisu. Before the tip, it came to $30. That's a bit much for what I ordered, but I figured since I was on vacation it was par for the course. After waiting over an hour for delivery (I was literally staying 0.6 miles away from Pizza Chef, at Margate Towers, I ended up calling to see where my order was. It finally gets here, and it's subpar. The chicken in the gyro was cooked to death, it was like they diced it as thin as possible to make it cook faster. I took a couple bites of it, and tossed it in the trash. I ate the rest of the meal, and it was alright. I wouldn't recommend ordering food for delivery from them... maybe they're better in restaurant, but I won't know as they won't get my business again. read more

Pizza Chef (Gourmet Pizza) is excellent! It is a small location that is big in flavor! We had a House Deluxe and Cheese Pizza. The crust was great and the ingredients were fresh and delicious. The staff was so friendly and welcoming. My daughter said the cheese pizza was the best she has had (in her whole 9 years!). I am so glad the concierge at the Embassy Suites recommended this place! They charge you full price for added toppings even if you only get it on half the pizza. Having kids we get toppings on half the pizza often and every other pizza joint on the planet charges you half price if you only get it on half the pie. Also, they don't take American Express, the only credit card I typically carry, so had to use the debit card. Pizza was mediocre. Unrelated to this particular establishment, Myrtle Beach has the lamest law I've ever heard of: no sun canopies. They've outlawed shade. You have to go buy an umbrella or rent one for a very reasonable $40. Nonsense. I'll be going back to Hilton Head and will never willingly step foot in Myrtle again. read more

We just bought a second home here and we were in hopes of finding a great neighborhood place that delivers good food. WE STRUCK GOLD! So first we called to place an order and the gentleman who took our order was totally first class. He took his time and answered all of our questions (we did not have a menu). Very kind and lots of care in making sure we got what we wanted. Food was delivered to us in a record speed by the same gentleman who helped us. Food was great but even if it had sucked we would still recommend this place for the pure customer service of 100 percent . We ordered a large pizza, sub sandwich and drink.
