Unfortunately, this new management does not reflect those expectations. The long of it is this: I had consistently positive experiences with the previous manager and always looked forward to my appointments. Unfortunately, my visit under the new management was disappointing. The manager arrived late to my scheduled appointment, and communication was more difficult than it had been in the past. The interaction also felt somewhat curt and not very welcoming. I did not feel that my input was valued when discussing what I wanted for my nails. Most concerning, the final result did not meet expectations. It was only after my nails were completed that I was informed the technician was not very experienced with the specific product I had requested. That information would have been important to know upfront so I could make an informed decision. Overall, I left feeling overcharged and misled. I believe a salon manager should have a strong level of expertise across nail styles and techniques, or at minimum be transparent about their skill level before beginning the service. I also observed what appeared to be a disorganized approach to managing appointments. At no point during my visit did I see the manager reference or use an appointment book, which raises concern about how appointments are being tracked and honored. One of the things I previously appreciated about this salon was its organization and respect for scheduled time. I would hate to see it shift into the kind of place where appointments no longer feel reliable--where clients are left waiting, only to then receive a less-than-quality experience.
