I went to Oscars last week to receive a mani-pedi. They took my temperature upon arrival, had me wash my hands and take a seat in the pedicure chair. I was 6 feet away from everyone else and separated by plexiglass from Lisa who was taking care of me. (Everyone was wearing a mask). Lisa did an excellent job on my pedicure and the massage was one of the best I have ever received!! Thank you Lisa! Kate did my nails! I appreciate that she took the time to soak the old dip off. Many places lately have been grinding my nails down or worse, snapping the old dip off!! This was so much better for my nails and felt better! When she was finished, my nails looked fantastic!! I had a mixed experience. it was my first time here, I made an appt online for 5pm and I arrived around 4:45. They got me in right away which was nice but the entire appointment felt so rushed, especially the prepping. The nail tech, Haley was doing everything so fast that she hurt both of us in the process a couple times. After that, I was a little more tense and she kept telling me to relax but with an annoyed tone. Thankfully the nails came out okay, but the tech herself was not nice. And at the very end, there was just messy details. I came home and finished filing my own nails and cleaned them up a little more. I work with people so I understand having a bad day or being burned out, but I would never make another customer or client feel this way. I came in super happy and this experience kind of ruined my day. I'm grateful my nails still came out decent but I don't think i'll be coming back. This was my second time coming here, this felt like a completely different experience. My first time was done by Sara, I would definitely recommend asking for her. This time Lily did my nails and I do not recommend asking for her. To remove my previous gel polish manicure, she filed down almost to my bare nail with a metal e-file tip, followed by a sanding bit to get to my nail base. This should've been done differently and likely caused some level of damage to my natural nail. After removing my previous manicure, she began gathering supplies for a builder gel manicure, likely more expensive and NOT the service I requested. After correcting the confusion and confirming she could do the design I requested, she began. Mind you any cuticle care was skipped. She began laying the base which went fine although uneven around the edges. Once she started showing me the potential colors for the design I asked for is when I should've known better and chose a different design. Absolutely none of the combinations she showed mimicked the inspiration. I was looking for a mother of pearl effect French tip. She kept showing me different variations of sparkly topcoats over a bright white. Attempt after attempt being incorrect and not even remotely close. Eventually the guy walks over (likely shocked that my manicure isn't done yet considering it's been 45 minutes) he recommended a polish and technique that worked. My tech decided she just wanted to start fresh I guess. She filed my nails down to my bare nail with a metal tip AGAIN. Even being given a second chance to work on my cuticle with no polish in the way, she still ignored them. The second attempt and this manicure felt extremely rushed leading to unevenness, splotches, and just poor work overall. After FINALLY finishing the polish application is when she apparently wanted to work on my cuticle. Haphazardly snipping away with cuticle clippers, trying to work around the polish. Obviously this makes it significantly harder. She snipped me twice both of which drew blood. Almost 2 hours since I walked in, I was handed the tab and charged full price for this beyond awful experience. I absolutely cannot comprehend how after wasting so much of someone's time just to finish with an awful manicure, you still want to charge full price? Unfortunately, I will now have to find someone that can fix this disaster of a manicure on my hands. I used to do my own gel manicures at home and never once did my outcome get even close to this level of disappointing. I cannot recommend Lily to do your nails. Ask for Sara, she's spectacular, organized, and can get you the look you want. read more

didn't make an appointment but should have. I had to wait an hour. The guy I had didn't have a name tag so not sure his name and he didn't offer. I didn't ask. He dropped things, people ran into him as they rushed past him. He was scattered. I have shoulder issues so wasn't able to easily put my hand in the dryer the way " he wanted". I tried to say something but not sure he understood or cared.Everyone was in a rush and hurried. Not my usual experience. My shellac is already coming off and it hasn't even been 24 hours. My girls and I went in a couple weeks for a tips/dip. My youngest had a pedi/mani. They didn't give her a mani, just painted her nails and that was it. $35.00 no thank you! The lady that did mine was very short with me. I had asked for french tips with pink nails/white tips. She did not do the pink color as she said it wouldn't look good. As she was in the middle of doing my nails, she stopped and went and assisted someone else and was gone for 20 minutes. I simply went in to get acrylics removed. The lady I had first took her time and was gentle with me, she was then yelled at to go do another woman's pedicure. So a new lady was with me and instead of finishing the job she proceeded to rip off each individual nail using a clear tip. It hurt and my nails were left with the tops ripped off and the tips of my nails ripped off and uneven. I wanted to keep the length of my nails but now they are shorter than my tip of my finger and burn like crazy. She ended with ok your done without even fixing the crazy uneven tips. She turned to her prior customer and proceeded to take her nails off the right way. I was rushed out and did not tip. Wanted to try a new salon today and never coming back, Greeted with unfriendly behaviors at the door by "Rosie" and then she did my nails. Started off unprofessionally, I had acrylics on my nails still and was gonna take them off to do dips. First off she didn't remove all of my nails, she was trying to remove the acrylics by her own fingers so then the pieces of acrylics are still underneath my dip. Pushing my hands, pulled them multiple times aggressively during the service with an unfriendly attitude. She was hurting my finger nails and I was like ouch and she replied so not concerned for me "ur hurt?". This set of dip was $45, quite expensive. Didn't want to be a Karen and complained so left her a $0 tip but still feel bad about it because she expected a tip. Some of my finger nails look patchy, uneven color spots. My fingers and still hurt because of her filing my nails too hard and rushed. Really regretted spending money here. read more

I began going to Oscar Nails about a year ago, mostly for pedicure, and had been pleased with the service. On 4/7/2023 I went there for a pedicure and the nail tech burned my heel in 3 places it's the electric callus remover. I didn't say anything that day as it just hurt, however that evening the areas became very painful and over the next few days very red and infected. Over the next two weeks I had to use an antibiotic cream and keep the areas bandaged. I sent three emails to Oscar Nails regarding this injury and never received any responses. Of course I will not be using Oscar Nails any longer, and suggest anyone going there to be very cautious of their techs using electric callus removers!! Deb B. read more

Rosie was not decent at all. She did cut my nails shorter than what I asked and was rude when I said that's not what I wanted. She drilled my cuticles until they were bright red and sore. After she was finished I said I didn't like them and she yelled saying there was nothing she could do. I have been going here recently and have been disappointed. I did dip with a tip and two of my nails already had air bubbles before I even left the place. They fixed them but a day later, the top coat was already peeling again. It seems like the quality of work has gone down since I first started going here. The sides of my nails are already chipping and one has a crack in it. It hasn't even been a week since I've had these done so this definitely should not be happening already. I'm not sure if the top coat they are using is old or why it is doing that but it's happened the last two times I've gone. Don't think I will be going back anymore. read more

I went for an acrylic set removal and regular manicure with shellac on my natural nails. To start they didn't fully remove all of the acrylic off my nails when they put the shellac on, only did two THIN coats which the girl didn't even let dry all the way through so they were bubbly and my nails were peeling within 2 days, mind you i wasn't doing ANYTHING rough as i just had dental surgery day following and was off of work. I had my nails done and the lady gave very little effort to even make them look nice.. did not work in my cuticles, fill in all the way to nail bed, smooth them out , fix what was lifting under nails or the side.. they needed fixed. Now I was with a friend who just raved about them and I was with her (pre wedding manis and pedis) I did not confront them about this .. I did notice from the beg that she want even putting effort but when your someone's guest I did not want to make a big deal about it in front of my friend and embarrass her.
