Fetish Nails has been sold and is now operating as Jim's Nails. This review is an honest account of my first--and last--experience with the new management. The short of it is this: customers want to feel heard and valued--especially when we're paying premium prices, where strong customer service and genuine appreciation should be standard. Unfortunately, this new management does not reflect those expectations. The long of it is this: I had consistently positive experiences with the previous manager and always looked forward to my appointments. Unfortunately, my visit under the new management was disappointing. The manager arrived late to my scheduled appointment, and communication was more difficult than it had been in the past. The interaction also felt somewhat curt and not very welcoming. I did not feel that my input was valued when discussing what I wanted for my nails. Most concerning, the final result did not meet expectations. It was only after my nails were completed that I was informed the technician was not very experienced with the specific product I had requested. That information would have been important to know upfront so I could make an informed decision. Overall, I left feeling overcharged and misled. I believe a salon manager should have a strong level of expertise across nail styles and techniques, or at minimum be transparent about their skill level before beginning the service. I also observed what appeared to be a disorganized approach to managing appointments. At no point during my visit did I see the manager reference or use an appointment book, which raises concern about how appointments are being tracked and honored. One of the things I previously appreciated about this salon was its organization and respect for scheduled time. I would hate to see it shift into the kind of place where appointments no longer feel reliable--where clients are left waiting, only to then receive a less-than-quality experience. New owner is absolutely awful. Very unfriendly. I have never had my fingers so cut up and bleeding around my cuticles. Pedicure was just as bad. I have been coming to Fetish Nails for over 3 years and have never had any problems before this. read more

Been going to fetish nails for ten years. Always delivered the highest quality nails and their hygiene practices seemed top notch. Went in for my regular six week shellac pedicure today and was surprised to find it had switched owners. Never had a worse pedicure in my life. I never write yelp reviews and swear to god I'm not a typical Karen that makes a hobby out of trying to ruin local businesses. But wow. Tech did virtually no cleaning or shaping of my nails--had to tell them to go back and file down jagged edges multiple times. Found dirt still under multiple nails after they had finished. Didn't trim cuticles or remove dead skin at all. They chipped my big toenail and "fixed" it by lopsidedly filing it down, so the nail was asymmetrical and way shorter on one side. My heels literally left rougher than when I went in--they filed them for like 30 seconds, enough to loosen some dead skin but not remove it so they're now covered in flaky dry skin peeling off. The polish was applied nowhere near my untrimmed cuticles, basically looked like my nails had already grown out for a couple weeks. Complaining makes me literally nauseous so it has to be extreme for me to say anything but I just couldn't stomach paying $55 for this when I'm going to have to have it redone this week. When I complained they refused to refund me and were adamant that they had done a good job despite me pointing out all of these clear problems. Absolutely never again. Absolutely the best. And they are genuinely a kind business. Normally I hate going to get my nails done, but they are super sweet and truly believe in customer service. It makes a huge difference. And Ive had multiple girls work on my nails there, and each one, has done a great job. read more

Tammy gave me a fantastic pedicure. The only thing I would have liked is more dead skin exfoliated off my heels. The pedi has lasted me over 2 weeks and still looks great. My nails were clipped/filed perfect length for me, she pushed my cuticles back and got the polish to the root of my nail for longer ware, very clean salon, personable conversation and a great price ($18). Ok massage chairs and was offered a water. I will keep going here for sure! read more

What a lovely nail salon! It's tucked away but worth finding. My cousin and I each needed to get our nails done but her salon no longer does nails. This establishment is clean and careful. This salon is a delight!!! After having to wait for about 25 minutes (my faux pas - I was a walk in), Leslee led me back to her table. I was in desperate need of acrylic tips and a dip manicure. I'd had an EXTREMELY bad experience elsewhere, and my own nails are pretty shot at the moment. Leslee tried to talk me into just dipping my own nails, that the dip would make them stronger, but they are so short, I wanted a tip - albeit a short one. I picked my color, and Leslee asked if I wanted the full color, or if I'd prefer she did an ombré with light glitter? Of course I opted for the ombré!! She made it sound amazing!!! AND IT IS!!! This is probably the BEST dip I've had, and the fastest!!! Leslee was absolutely AMAZING and the atmosphere at Fetish is super friendly!! A bit more expensive than other places I've gone, but well worth it. read more

I came here with my bridesmaids to get our nails done the day before my wedding and was so impressed! I showed Amy a picture of what I had in mind and she did exactly that. I usually come here and have a good experience, but this time was horrible. I typically get shellac on my toes and nails but this time I only got shellac on my toes. They pressure you into getting shellac because it's WAY more expensive..and it's not like it lasts any longer than regular polish because your nails grow at the same rate and you typically have to go back and get them done every two weeks anyway... At Fetish Nails, the ladies dont care about your nails if you just get regular polish and this time the owner who did my nails & did a crappy and fast job. She hurried and put a full set on and could've done a lot better job shaping them. Then she hurried and painted them so she could move on to her next customer. Because I had shellac on my toes and regular paint on my nails, the colors didn't match at all..but it's close enough. Also with my pedicure, the young lady that did my toes hurried up her job as well. Over all it was horrible and for the $70 that I spent for my toes and nails, I expected way better service. Now a days there's a lot of salons that charge so much but do not have the service to match!! This is sad and way too expensive for what I got. read more

Have given this place repeated chances, but never improved. Made my toes bleed twice by cutting cuticles too short, no dead skin exfoliated, poor shellac job, and polish not cleaned off around nails. Will not return. read more
