It was challenging but it is just the one room. You don't escape into another room like I've done in previous escape rooms. Now let's talk customer service. We came in with a 10year old soccer team for a team building event. When I booked they were very nice and knew we would be coming in. Yes they were excited and loud. However, the staff member could have been nicer about it. Especially towards the children. The staff member checking us in was condescending but pretending to be nice. I could tell they were annoyed with us. Another staff member yelled at one of the parents for taking a pic of their time before they left the room after the game was over. As I was leaving I was looking for my kid, she said I'm here mom to let me know where she was. I told her to not be so loud. Then the staff member said in a condescending way "You know you're inside right?" Other than the interaction with those two staff members the kids had fun. I doubt any of the families will return though due to customer service.

She came out to briefly to answer a few questions and handed me a card showing the different rooms, she then told me to go on the website for more info then darted into the back as I snapped a few photos of the inside. I checked out the website and shared my findings with my teenage son who was not overly thrilled about getting trapped in a room and finding his was out through the clues therein! Although I haven't tried laser tag, I did attempt the grid. It's very much similar to activate except it has 30 rooms with each containing a different point value & different objectives. The goal is for the team containing 2-5 people to reach 1,000 points. The first time I went with my group, we only got 175. It's totally okay for that to happen, I'd highly suggest going with 3-5 players at least for some of the rooms you encounter, but I'm sure if there is only two they compromise for it. Overall is a fun experience, and it is highly suggested that you wear comfortable clothes and some closed toe shoes. This is due to the fact that some of the rooms deal with mental, physical, skill, or a bit of it all. You are being timed from 30, 60, or 90 minutes. I would highly suggest the 90 minute one to ensure you have a chance to visit 85-90% of the rooms. They have hand sanitizers located on some of the walls outside the room as well! Really funny experience! They also have a concession stand as well.

We asked them about a box that had a lock on it and the employee brushed it off and said okay... congrats .... And I asked her again what was in the box and the employee just said "yeah.... You would've had to be there a lot longer...." And then just stood there staring at us. This was a very unpleasant experience they just wanted to rush us out of there so they could close. Why take later bookings if you won't give them the same experience as earlier ones.If you're looking for any escape rooms there are better options in Charlotte like Escapeology.

Just recently made my first visit into this store and was quite pleasantly surprised by it. I was…read morenot expecting most of what I saw. A friend brought his MTG cards to town and was looking for someone to play. Being an old "veteran" of sorts, I took the opportunity to play again for the first time in 10 years. The process was easy. In fact, I'm not sure if my friend even asked permission or paid a fee. We walked in and grabbed an empty table and started playing. It was a Saturday afternoon and before long the place started to fill up with people. Some guys came in with a game called Urban Insanity that they were demoing. Kind of a modern/post apocalyptic rendition of the more well known Carcassonne. We ended up jumping in on a game of that. Before I knew it I saw beers floating and passing around. There were other tables popping up with all sorts of other games going on. People setting up what was bound to be an intense game of Warhammer in the far corner. Another guy quietly painting figures with his headphones in. A great cacophony of noise from all of us playing Urban Insanity. And another amalgamation of tables near the front of the shop that was getting kicked up about some other games. It was like watching a movie and I realized this was a pretty happening, fun place. There are actually taps here - so that's where the beer was coming from. Quite the surprise to me. Lots of snacks and non-alcoholic drinks to choose from too. Magic the Gathering and other table top games go without saying, but I was also pleasantly surprised by the extensive board game collection they have available for purchase from here. I feel a draw in my soul to eventually come back for another event to highlight a new game some time in the future. Looking forward to it!
