It was challenging but it is just the one room. You don't escape into another room like I've done in previous escape rooms. Now let's talk customer service. We came in with a 10year old soccer team for a team building event. When I booked they were very nice and knew we would be coming in. Yes they were excited and loud. However, the staff member could have been nicer about it. Especially towards the children. The staff member checking us in was condescending but pretending to be nice. I could tell they were annoyed with us. Another staff member yelled at one of the parents for taking a pic of their time before they left the room after the game was over. As I was leaving I was looking for my kid, she said I'm here mom to let me know where she was. I told her to not be so loud. Then the staff member said in a condescending way "You know you're inside right?" Other than the interaction with those two staff members the kids had fun. I doubt any of the families will return though due to customer service.

But in this case it was really wonderful it allowed people to enjoy themselves, be involved even if public things are uncomfortable l, especially for people that don't like to be singled out. The hosts were funny and caddy but not in a bad way, and really made the experience great. I highly recommend coming here if you want to come. They even have beverages for sale there, so wet during the whole fun gaming experience

We spent the entire day at Timed Out, and loved it so much we played all of their rooms. Their rooms are challenging but not impossible. Each room had something really neat that set it apart from other escape rooms. The owner talked to us a good bit about what it's like owning an escape room (we've been talking about opening up our own for a while now) and let us see how things work behind the scenes. One of my favorite parts were the game masters... they were teenagers and were a lot of fun. It's nice seeing a business owner hire teenagers who are full of energy and love their jobs. At the time of my visit there was only one person working and she was in the back taking care of a group. She came out to briefly to answer a few questions and handed me a card showing the different rooms, she then told me to go on the website for more info then darted into the back as I snapped a few photos of the inside. I checked out the website and shared my findings with my teenage son who was not overly thrilled about getting trapped in a room and finding his was out through the clues therein! I guess I'll be back with a more mature group to check out Escape Artist.

I've done plenty of escape rooms and this is by far the worst experience I've had. As soon as we…read morewalked in and started to fill out our waiver the host seemed annoyed and told the receptionist "I'm just going to get them in and out". Which already put a bad taste in my mouth. As we're getting closer to the end of our time we asked for 1 hint so we could get back on track but she proceeded to tell us what to do. She basically gave us the code for the exit door and when we opened the door there was another employee just waiting there. We asked them about a box that had a lock on it and the employee brushed it off and said okay... congrats .... And I asked her again what was in the box and the employee just said "yeah.... You would've had to be there a lot longer...." And then just stood there staring at us. This was a very unpleasant experience they just wanted to rush us out of there so they could close. Why take later bookings if you won't give them the same experience as earlier ones.If you're looking for any escape rooms there are better options in Charlotte like Escapeology.
