The process was super easy. I went partly in hopes of finding a used copy of a novel my Book Club has been wanting to read, but isn't at the library. I was shocked/overjoyed to find TWO copies, both of which I purchased on the spot. Great value for sure. Can't wait to go back & browse their selection more fully when I have more time. I love physical books, but don't buy them often because I have a Kindle and because they've gotten expensive over the years. HOWEVER, give me a deal and it's on! HAHA! I had never been to this book store until the sale. It's small, but there's such a good selection of used books. The used books are also in really good shape. The team member on site the day we went was GREAT! He took the time to assist us in looking for books on our lists and giving us recommendations for other books to read. I also like the idea that you can bring the books back that you purchase, for a percentage off on your next book. Check them out, explore the selection they have, and support local!

The employees are always the sweetest and always make sure to welcome you with a big bright smile on their faces! They have an incredible selection of book in stock! You can get lost in there for hours just looking at the book provided. They have a bit of everything for an extremely low price. Their downstairs has many amazing books that will be about half of the original price. The upstairs (my favorite place) is full of every genre you can imagine and for only $5 they have hundreds of hardcovers books for $5 as well. This is definitely a 10/10 business! Most DVDs and cds are $1 each, with some multi-sets priced a bit more. Books are typically $4 each but some are a bit less, some a bit more. You can get a pretty new book for just $4. The store is only open Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays but that's plenty of time to browse for some excellent bargains. The store is staffed by volunteers who are always cheerful and helpful. I highly recommend Friends Books on Main.

I read through some of the other reviews and I want to set the record straight. Yes, it's inside a church but there is a separate entrance. Yes, there are Christian books but also other genres. Yes, the coffee is very affordable BECAUSE all the staff are volunteers. No one is getting paid and they LOVE what they do. All smiles and great service. The proceeds go to local and global missions of the church. Win, win all the way around. The place itself is very spacious. Two levels. The seating areas are comfortable and far enough apart you can have some semiprivacy if you need it. My friend who brought me says she comes here all the time to study (she's in college). All of the staff knew her by name. (love places like that) I'm not a coffee drinker so I can't really speak to the coffee (although my friend says it's pretty good). I am a tea drinker though and they have a variety of flavors, some refresher juice drinks, a few pastries. Please support. I told her I probably wasn't interested in store credit, just cash, and she said okay. I told them I would be back in a couple of hours while I ran some errands. I lost track of time and didn't make it back before they closed. I returned the following weekend to get my cash and they somehow put all of my books in the shelf and didn't even have a cash offer for me. Why would you just put someone's books in your shelf without even realizing who they belong to? Ridiculous. I am Very disappointed. Not having a cash offer I was forced to take store credit or I would have given them about 30 books for me. I doubt I'll ever use the store credit, so thanks for stealing my books Mr K.
