Just fantastic! I've played a solid amount of rooms and these were both great experiences. Played saloon and wrecked. Wrecked is the best escape room in the city. Ima talk about that. This game is absolutely delightful. The game flowed SO WELL. The ambiance was just incredible. So many little details. You can really see the care they put into everything The puzzles and challenges were very very clever. I was so pleased! It's a little spooky so be aware, but we'll worth it. Look no further. This place is great! Best escape room in the area by a wide margin read more

We've done two escape rooms at Masterpiece Escapes now and both visits were excellent. The staff is friendly and helpful and the games are challenging and fun. We're looking forward to visiting again soon! read more

We had such a good time at Masterpiece!! We did the Missing game with 4 of us. You could definitely tell the employees were enjoying their jobs and in the game with us. Would absolutely go back sometime again! read more

Such a fun time! Great experience! Loved how our room had multiple rooms we could venture into, the puzzles were challenging and creative. Definitely recommend! read more

We had a great time playing at Masterpiece Escapes! Our date night turned into playing two games because we were so impressed. High recommend and very nice staff! We will be back to play all the games! read more

Rainy cold day - perfect place to spend an hour. We chose the "scary" one because we had boys ages 13-16, and three adults and we had a great time. Loved the theme and the rooms. It was well run and we appreciated the subtle hints given to help steer us in the right direction or get everyone to re-focus on a particular item. Highly recommend. read more

Amazing rooms. Well thought it and not complicated for the sake of being complicated. Staff is amazing and rooms are fun.

10 friends and I visited last night for murder mystery night. It was so much fun. All the actors did an incredible job and were such a hoot. I highly recommend checking this place out. read more

We did Missing this morning (Family of 4). It's was the kid's first time escape room. it was AWESOME!! We had a blast. The story, the room, all the 'little' details really is a WHOLE package. Full disclosure, I was was a little hesitant on the pricing ($29/person) but after enjoying this with my kids it REALLY is worth the price of admission!! read more

My team played through all four rooms at Masterpiece Escapes, and had a great experience. There were some creative, cerebral puzzles, as well as some great surprises. The owners seem very thoughtful about their rooms, and are truly passionate about their craft. Our top two rooms were "Missing" and "Deadwood Saloon." Both had some unique puzzles and fun twists. We also enjoyed the story that went along with "Missing" - so pay attention!! While "Drained" certainly wasn't the best room we've done by far, we still had a blast doing it. (Do "Missing" or "Deadwood" first though...) "Drained" is actually a very different experience than most Escape Rooms, as there is a live actor inside with you the whole time, acting as a character in the narrative. It's half escape room and half comedy routine! We did "Drained" as the second room of a double-header and it was perfect that way. Our brains were a little fried from just completing "Missing" successfully, so a little lighter room + the comedy was just what we needed. Just bring people who can laugh and take a good joke. And make sure to ask for "Obnoxious Owen" when booking! Overall highly recommend!! Great experience. read more

Best escape rooms around! Really great themes and cool puzzles. The staff is very personable and helpful. 11/10 would recommend! read more

We loved Wrecked! Great room design and the clues were challenging. We will be back for sure.

Escape before you book. They do not like children! My husband and I took our kids to the escape room. We were waiting maybe 10 minutes and the person working there was so rude to my kids. They were not being wild, but also not being calm, but the guy working told us "if your not going to listen to her (meaning me), your going to f-ing listen to me". He literally said the f-word in front of my 7, 11, and 13 year olds. Nice work. We got our money back and left. read more

My friend and I had a great as experience at masterpiece escape! We played deadwood and missing and really enjoyed them. Out of the two rooms, my favorite was missing due to the scary atmosphere and fun puzzles! Deadwood is thought provoking puzzle and great if you're up for a challenge! We really enjoyed talking to the owner as his enthusiasm for escape rooms is Infectious! He even showed us the other rooms and the set design is incredible! He was kind enough to accommodate our schedule which we truly appreciated since we are from out of town. They do special touches for birthdays/grad/anniversary and the owner clearly cares about the customer and the community! I have done a ton of escape rooms and I have never met an owner who cares so much about the customer and wants to ensure they have a great time! read more

So much fun! This is the second time this year we took our family and visiting guests to Masterpiece Escape! The rooms were challenging but not so difficult that you were frustrated! I've been to other escape rooms before and this place goes out of their way to make sure you have a great time! read more

We visited Masterpiece on a Sunday afternoon. Our group of four paid extra to ensure we could play Deadwood Saloon without any strangers in our room. The owner did a nice job getting us into the theme of the room before entering. The room was well-decorated and had a great variety of puzzles and tasks to complete. We all quite liked the theme and the clues. Our helper communicated to us through a walkie talkie. We've done many escape rooms locally (undefeated!) and we know how to work well together. The guy on the other end of the walkie, though, offered us a ton of unsolicited help. We're not afraid to ask for clues if we feel like we're getting stumped, but we never had the chance to get there before he was giving us tips we didn't ask for. This became frustrating. Additionally, this is the only escape room in the Charlotte area that we've played that didn't have a timer in the room. This made it tough to determine our progress, though I'm sure if we asked our friend with the walkie, he would have given us a time stamp. Overall, we had fun, we made it out, and we would definitely go back to Masterpiece. read more

Amazing set up. My coworkers and I really enjoyed the experience. We did the missing room and it was great. All puzzles were connected very well but also were challenging in a good way. Few spooky things but nothing too scary. We all had a great time. We will be back. read more

I've done more escape rooms than I'm comfortable admitting, and Masterpiece Escapes is high up on my list. We did wrecked and loved every second of it. Great back story, great puzzles, the room flowed really well, all puzzles worked and made sense. It was challenging, entertaining, and got you fully immersed. I can't recommend this place enough. I'll be back to try more rooms soon! read more

My sister and I had a great time! Friendly staff, quality rooms, and great prices. One of the best, if not the best escape rooms I've been to; you won't regret it! I will definitely be coming back. read more

Holy moly this escape room was the best one we've been to! We did the Missing Room and it did not disappoint. This is one of the most popular rooms so you will want to book ahead of time. The workers really captivate you with the background story so you are really in it, and even give you the follow up on what actually happened in the debriefing. Pretty cool! Aside from the experience being awesome, the workers were super friendly and helpful. Prices were more than fair for the experience! We had a great time and will absolutely be back to check out the other rooms! read more

Awesome experience!!! Owner was super nice, place was huge, clean and had multi level puzzles to solve which lead to a fun filled night!! We did missing and it was such a challenging but realistic room and we made it out with 90 seconds to spare Out of several escape rooms that we've done this place is by far the best and we will be back to do the other 3 rooms!!! read more

We have always wanted to try and escape room and we decided to check out masterpiece. We are very glad we did. With us having an older group, we went with the "missing" theme room. Was not sure what to expect but the room was done up nicely. It was a lot of fun and everyone seemed to have had a great time. Would highly recommend this place for anyone wanting to try a escape room. read more

Had a great time. This was our first escape room experience for a small birthday group of 5. Scheduling online was really easy. Got there 5 mins early and didn't have to wait even though it was a fairly busy Saturday. Seems like they have their scheduling set up perfectly. The room (Dr Devastation) was great and the perfect amount of difficulty. We had 1 adult, 3 young teens, and a 10 year old. All were engaged and able to contribute to solving the hints and minor physical challenges. read more

My children and I decided to do this for an after school treat last Wednesday. Having never done one before, I had no expectations of what I was walking into. To say that I was impressed is an understatement. I can't wait to go back and try another one! read more

We completed the saloon room with another couple and had a great time. The manager/owner was super friendly and helpful and answered all of our questions before and after and even asked for input regarding the room we completed (we made it out with seconds to spare. The escape room wasn't as fancy as the other room I completed at a different location, but it was fun to solve with a variety of clues, and puzzles. I really like that there were several different areas to the room we completed. Everything in the room is thought up by and made by the team that works at the escape room. I recommend checking this place out! They have several rooms available at any given time, some which are appropriate for the whole family and others geared more towards a more mature crowd! read more

I've done two rooms with Masterpiece, and I couldn't have been more pleased. The puzzles are thought out well and you really have to focus on our strengths to figure it out. I'm excited to do the next room!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!! read more

Do not let outside appearance dissuade you from going in. A Christmas tradition so picked Masterpiece based in reviews. A great experience. Staff were great. Had room to ourselves (4) which was nice. Selected the Meto Mayhem room. It was obvious a lot of thought had been put into the design and theme. Recommend and will go back. read more

Omg, just completed Missing and this was the best room we have done yet! Full of surprises, highly recommend-

Just awesome. We just so happened to get the most challenging room but it was SO fun and thank goodness we had some (just some) assistance from one of the guides (via walkie talkie). It was a family affair (with our 2 teens) and we cannot wait to go back to try the other rooms! Highly recommend!! read more

I went and completed the "missing" room. I had a group of 3 and we finished with just 20 seconds left!! The room was "scary", but not so bad that you can't complete the puzzles. The puzzles were so fun and difficult without being frustrating or overwhelming. The staff is lovely and so helpful, and the rooms are intricate and well decorated! I love this place and will definitely come back!! I want to try the "wrecked" room next. I 100% recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a fun and challenging escape room. read more

We were looking for last minute date night options and decided to check out Masterpiece Escapes. I made a reservation online for the "Missing" room. It was our first escape room experience so we weren't sure what to expect. The owner was very helpful with our questions before entering the room. We were the only two in this room. We were a little lost at first but he chimed in to give us tips. We struggled towards the end and he actually came in there with us to help point us in the right direction. We really enjoyed our first escape room experience because of the theme and his help. We will definitely be visiting the family (kids) friendly rooms in the future. read more

This place makes the most unique rooms I've seen with really creative and fun puzzles. Every detail is very well thought out. Our group of seven made it through the holiday theme room in 45 minutes without feeling rushed. Helpful tips come through from one of the owners on the walkie talkie too. Can't wait to come back! read more

Stumbled across this escape room since this was something our daughter wanted to do for her 13th birthday. We selected the "Missing" room and it was fantastic!! We were greeted nicely and the kids were allowed to use the restroom prior to our start. He explained thoroughly what we were about to do and also gave an introduction to the room. The experience was fun the whole entire time. He helped us as needed and the hour flew by. It had a few "scary" moments but nothing too crazy. When we finished, he offered to take our photo and closed out the room explaining what happened to Malachi. He was so super friendly! They are creating new rooms over the next couple of months and the kids are already planning our next trip. As a family, we absolutely enjoyed ourselves and I recommend it to anyone wishing to have a great family time. Definitely a must do!! read more

So much fun! The best escape room we have done! First class and great attention to details! Can't wait to go back and try another one!
