As soon as we walked inside, we were warmly greeted. Check-in was fast and easy. I loved the security stickers they give you for your family/group. The entire building was super clean and mom-approved. Greatly little convenient cafe with drinks, delicious waffles, and snacks. Plenty of tables and chairs for everyone and free WiFi! The party rooms are adorable and stylish. We can't wait to return. read more

1000% recommend this place! Very friendly staff, very clean environment. Sooo many fun things for the kids to do in there to stay active and have a blast. They have a rule about children 11 and up not playing actively unless helping a smaller sibling, which is in place because a lot of times older and bigger kids can be too rough and kind of bulldozer over the little ones. I am so appreciative of that rule!!!! A lot of places don't acknowledge that those things can happen and the little guys often get hurt or trampled on while trying to play. They let parents play, the cafe inside is delicious, lots of options to choose from! I chose an iced blueberry pie latte!!! So good and yummy tasting! My son and his cousin and friends all had a great time playing. The cafe even has loads of snacks of every kind that they don't jack up in prices, which I appreciate. Again, this place was so clean. Even the bathrooms were tidy and clean. We will be back, we all had the best time. We live in concord, so it was a bit of a drive, but so worth it, as the prices are super affordable and you get two hours of fun for such a cheap price. In today's terrible economy, there aren't a lot of cheap things to do with your kids, so I'm here for this!!! I will tell others about this gem and we will most definitely be back. Thank you! read more

Doesnt do a great job of making you aware that they are closed or closing for private events. Nothing worse than driving 30+ mins to find out when you get there. read more

Extremely impressed with this place! Very clean, everything was kept in great condition, which I'd think is hard to do with kids constantly playing hard every day, and the staff was very friendly. It gave this tired mom a nice two hour reprieve while my kiddos had a blast. Really nice perk that they also had delicious coffees, snacks, etc as well for when we all needed a quick recharge. read more

I came here at 1:30pm on Saturday for a small birthday party. There is a waiver that you must sign but I signed it online prior to arriving to get it done. What's nice is that they have a baby gate/door lock so that children cannot leave without a parent. They have 2 rooms for parties and an area by a green wall. They also have a cafe where they have desserts, coffee, drinks, and food. The play area itself was nice! The kids (in the party and those just present) seemed to really enjoy themselves. There are several activities for them to do. They do have a water fountain by the restrooms. The men's restroom needed a little cleaning as the trash can was full and there were paper towels on the ground. Overall, pleasant experience! read more

We love this place and will continue to go, but it's certainly in need of some TLC. We went there today, and there were many places where the netting was torn, or the blasters/air propelled items weren't working. Also, some of the padding has been torn or worn off in some of the high traffic places. It's also tough because there are many kids that aren't "watched" by their parents. For example, there were older kids jumping off the rail into the the baby/toddler area. There was a female attendant that came by and said something to them, but it was after a mom (of a little that one of the big kids landed on) went and said something to staff at the counter. I want to say it was tough because it's a holiday week, so they should do the ticketed slot entry on days when the school calendar has holidays. We love everything about Playland, but the equipment is starting to show its age and I wish parents knew the facility isn't a babysitting service. read more

Terrible experience both times I came here. First and foremost, safety concerns. Big kids pushing little kids around in areas they aren't supposed to be in, people wearing shoes when they aren't supposed to be, and very young unprofessional staff. Lots of people talking about the owner who doesn't support special needs children and even went so far as to publicly post some insensitive things online (which she has now removed-only after extreme public backlash). read more

Lots of places for kids to play. A bit unorganized and chaotic when it comes to the times that people can be there. It felt very crowded when I went and although the playtime is for 2 hours, it felt like no one was monitoring that so it was just a free for all. read more

Playland Indoor Playground is definitely my favorite indoor playground in Charlotte. It's affordable, clean, and the staff are impressively attentive. There are staff constantly cleaning the dining and play area. I have never once touched a sticky surface there for the amount of times we've been there. They serve coffee and desserts in there too. I personally love the tiramisu iced coffee. I also love the crepes. My daughter loves the Latino bakes they have there. I hope they open one in Ballantyne closer to home. read more

Great business model. Well worth the cost. Wish there was one closer to Charlotte but still worth the 30-40 min drive!

Today I visited this place for the first time and it's so awesome. It's clean, the food is decent and the children love it. Great for meetings where you can join the children or just watch them from the seating area. There's an enclosed toddler area for those who have children who are three years and younger. Reclining seats if you wanna be more comfortable and privet party rooms for possible birthday parties. Loved the atmosphere! read more

I recently visited this location during a trip to see my mother with 2 preschoolers. First, my kids loved this place and in their eyes, had a great time. So, yes, this is a kid approved place! However, as a parent of young children, I did have a few concerns. We went on a Saturday and it was packed. I found it hard to keep track of my kids at times due to crowds and although we tried the toddler area, several older children kept entering. In the future, I would consider this location again if they had designated hours each day for younger kids, say 5 and under. I just felt like I spent 2 hours trying to protect my 3 year olds from high energy older children who had little supervision and made it difficult at times for younger kids to play safely. read more

We love this indoor playground! The play area is consistently clean and well maintained. Our 4 year old has the best time when we visit. I really appreciate the coffee options for parents. I have had some of the best mochas and iced coffees at Playland. They also have crepes, quesadillas, and hotdogs. This establishment goes above and beyond to meet the needs of the children playing and the adults there to supervise. I really enjoy the time to listen to an audiobook and/or work on things for my job while our son is enjoying social time with other children. Cannot wait to have our son's 5th birthday party at Playland. read more

Highly recommend Playland to every family! We have a 5,3 and 1 year old and they all enjoy their time here every time we visit. Also their coffee and food are delicious! Staff is always nice and helpful if you need anything. As a mom I appreciate the fact that they care about keeping facilities clean, you can almost always see staff cleaning or disinfecting. We have been to Playland three times now and each time I am CONSISTENTLY impressed. The staff is nice and dedicated to cleaning and safety. The young child area is gated off from the rest of the play areas, which I love; it gives my LO space to explore and toddle around without issue. Everything here always seems clean and I have noticed that they are constantly improving features. For example, the first time we came there was a play area towards the front left corner that was looking a little worn. We came out a few short weeks later and that whole area was replaced with a new feature. I love that! read more

Fun place for the kiddos and good way to get some exercise for the parents, my kids loved it here and also had me running all over the place from the toddler area but to the big kid area, there's so much to do. They have coffee and snacks for purchase also pizza. They have little party rooms as well. Overall the place was pretty clean and The flaw I seen was the toddler play door was broken it was dragging on the floor which isn't safe at all, but that's an easy fix read more

Always a fun time at playland! Getting kids energy out while parents can enjoy a cup of deliciously coffee or tea with crepes or waffles. There's a toddler area, 0-3. Brought our toddler for the first time on March 6 & people were NOT wearing masks! Like 2 out of 3 people did NOT HAVE A MASK ON. I asked the manager if they enforce it and why they werent & he said, we can't chase after people... I asked for my money back & left. The place was packed with parents & kids ' & again most adults were not wearing a mask. & management did not care. Stay away unless you want to catch covid !!! read more

If a kid were reviewing this spot, they'd give it more than 5 stars. As a cautions parent, I'll round up because my kids had a ton of fun. Kid Review: This place is extremely fun. There are ball pits, a long slide, and other areas to have a ton of fun. There were so many kids to play with.... yea that was my oldest. My review: 1. If you're not going to enforce a mask policy, why have one? Why have some staff wearing their mask appropriately and others not? 2. There isn't any kind of supervision. There is a clearly marked 'Toddler' area, for children 3 years or younger. So while my 2.5 y.o is playing, older kids are coming thru at random times trying to slide down into the ball pit. Understandably, there are already parents in there with their kids (l did the same), but charged up kids coming thru who are clearly not 3 or younger, isn't cool. One of them almost knocked my baby over climbing up the little foam joint to slide down until I yelled an "aye! aye!". Not every parent is going to watch their kids, but the least staff could do is make sure parents and/or kids are sticking to the rules. As you can see there aren't many dislikes. Likes: 1. My kids had fun. 2. There are snacks and drinks. 3. They have spaces for birthday parties. 4. There are different sides for 3 and younger and older kids (although not really enforced) This place is obviously a play at your own risk. My husband signed the waiver, so I assume somewhere it states that and some other info. If I only had older kids, my only gripe would be the mask policy.... for now. Of course I could either stay or leave. I met up with my friend and his kid as he suggested the place so our kids could play, so I opted to stay. Next time I'll bring better masks for my girls and make them wear a hazmat suit... kidding. The masks should work and I'll be more religious with giving them their daily vitamins and maybe ramp up the Vitamin C before my next visit as they both have a cold now. I'll more than likely go back especially on extremely hot/ no splash park or swim, play date days. read more

Came here for the first time for a birthday party and everything was so cute! At first I was afraid it would be such a large play building that I would not be able to keep up with my children, but it was a great size. Large enough for children to roam freely in the play gym but easy enough to walk around the structure and spot them. It is a HUGE maze with some tricky navigation for the kids to stay busy, which is great for them. However, it was difficult for me as a parent to crawl through when I wanted to take my little one down their slide. I do wish they had a simpler way to get to it. However, the toddler area does provide a great slide to go on, it was just SO busy and bigger children were jumping in. I didn't feel comfortable letting my baby play there with them jumping around and fighting for the slide. Either way, I loved their play structure, but the coffee was what did it for me. It was SO GOOD. I ordered a white chocolate raspberry with almond milk, and I can't believe that it was from a children's play facility. They really outdid themselves. Unfortunately I didn't know they had crepes or I would've had one. We will be back! read more

I think they should spend some time sanitizing equipment between kids playing. I know from my own experience and speaking with other parents who take their kids here....everytime our children get sick after playing here. Also the prices went up for a Friday I spent 16$ just for one toddler. It was also very busy to the point that we took the last available table. read more

This place is awesome. My girls are age 7 and 8 and they enjoyed themselves so much. I love the fact that all of the tables AR right in front so you can keep an eye on your children Chan's have a nice spot to sit. They even have some snacks, drinks and EVEN good fun coffees... the BEST PART OF THIS PLACE TO ME! Is they have Gospel music playing in the background. From a parent who's children only listen to Gospel in the car and on alexa at home this was wonderful. These children AND parents are hearing the word of our Lord and Savior without even knowing it. This is absolutely fantastic to me. Thank you to the owners for not making sure God is part of their magnificent place!!!we will be here regularly just bc of that reason!!! read more

I took my 27 month old twins for the first time today. I did not expect to be as impressed as I was. We started in the toddler area and there were older kids that kept jumping the gate. So thin a minute or so, an employee came over to the older boys and said, "This are is for three and under, you definitely look older than three. We have a lot of fun over here, let's go this way." It was awesome. My kids finally had the nerve to try the bigger area and had the best time. I just put them to bed without a peep from either of them, which hasn't happened in weeks. It was a lot warmer than I expected running after them, so next time we will wear short sleeves regardless of the temp outside, but that is hardly a complaint and more of an observation. Best money we've spent in a while. read more

This place is so clean and fabulous! The equipment is safe and sanitary and the staff is incredible. I LOVE the coffee bar option! It is KEY for coming at 9am. Pretty cool idea, I see why parents would consider bringing children to this Play Place, seems like a great time for everyone involved.. However, my younger brother & little cousin got hand foot mouth disease from here. A family I know recently informed me that every time they've gone, (because they wanted to support this business so decided to come back), their child would get sick, so they had to stop going.. It seems when asking around, everyone has had some kind of strange + unfortunate unspoken outcome after attending this PlayPlace. Ive heard of strange things happening here but never thought it would continue & not be taken care of immediately, with a solution in place, let alone happen to anyone I know. When anything that has to do with house keeping is brought up, employees nearly brag about their cleaning efforts. I understand they sanitize (as they felt the need to repeat that over & over again), but how much care, research, & effort is actually being invested in, to keep it TRULY clean ??... clearly whatever is being done now, is not working out very well.. I do not see any reviews making others aware of such circumstances... I'm sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but someone's gotta do it. *** I understand all that contracted something chose to come here, I simply want to make sure parents & guardians are aware on what their child may be at risk to, prior to deciding on what to do ! read more
