Let first start by saying that the customer service was great. The staff was very accommodating and welcoming. The Disney themed holes looked great in pictures. The course was a very short walk from hole to hole, very easy to get around. Now to the critical part: the course. While the designs were great, the material used was absolutely abysmal and downright unplayable at times. There's a "Finding Nemo" wood plank course with massive gaps and curves on the edges of the planks that can send balls flying across the course. Some holes had playground recycled rubber material which will either send the ball flying off the hole even at the slightest putt or rolling all over the place and sending it back to where you started from. The turf was beaten to pieces which made 2- par holes go up to 5. Also, I'm sure beyond reasonable doubt that kids have been climbing all over some of the attractions since they've got child-sized shoes prints in places they definitely don't belong. Overall, the price is FAR too high for what you're paying for. If you're a parent bringing kids then teach them how to properly conduct themselves. Saying "kids will be kids" is a cop-out for lazy parents who can't teach basic manners and leave it to the staff to remind their children that climbing on decorations is unacceptable and putters are for putting and not teeing off into the groups in front of you. Long story short: be prepared for an expensive zoo filled with rowdy kids when you get there. Go at night when it's 18+ if you want to avoid the headache. Better yet, just spend the same amount of money at Swingers Crazy Golf and have a much better experience. Went to both on the same day and can say for certain that Swingers is the way to go.

Amazing experience. Great for the kids -- us adults had fun too. Will try to make it back before they close for the summer!

The back bar was closed for no apparent reason so we sat in the front. Someone did come and take our order. We got four cocktails (four people) and ordered chips and dip and a trio of hummus. We later flagged someone down and got pretzel sticks - note "flagged someone down" because for the rest of the evening if we wanted anything, including to pay, that is what we did. Multiple times we had to go bug the golf counter lady because the wait staff sure as hell wasn't interested, even though there were like 3 of them at the bar doing absolutely nothing. The chips and dips appeared long before anything else. Including water, which we asked for. Disgusting. The salsa was both really smokey and sugary sweet and my group speculated it had to have been canned. The guacamole was slightly better but it was obvious from the brown color and dull flaor it was probably made in a big batch and fridged much earlier in the day. Gross. The other two food items were decent. The pretzel sticks were particularly good. As for the cocktails? I wouldn't be able to tell you because they never came even though we asked about them repeatedly and were told oh they're coming. We watched multiple people dicking around at the bar for a good half hour while we waited. At one point one of them started sweeping up. We had watched the drinks go into the little ordering machine. We nudged them. Guess they could not be bothered. Eventually we had eaten all three of our heavily staggered food items and still no drinks so we decided to cancel and get drinks elsewhere. We finally flagged a waitress and she literally came up to us and said your drinks never came. No shit. I said we wanted to just cancel them. She literally walked away from our table without saying a word. No let me go tell a manager, let me check on that, nothing. Just walked away silently. Were we being punished? We waited a good ten, maybe fifteen minutes after that? Then a member of our party went up to the golf counter to ask if he could just pay there for our food. Then of course the waitress comes rushing over to have us pay. Guess she wanted that tip. This was insane. We were there for like an hour and they could not be bothered to make us our cocktails.

The $22 ticket included 90 minutes of access and a "welcome cocktail" from a list of three but one of those, the toasted marshmallow, wasn't even available when we were seated. That was frustrating. We tried the Jolly Pear 75 instead, and it was so bitter and unpleasant neither of us could finish it. Ironically, when we later ordered the toasted marshmallow (which had become available), it was actually very good. Too bad it wasn't an option from the start. The space itself was noisy, with putting players right next to the bar seating, which I hadn't realized ahead of time. Not exactly the holiday vibe we hoped for. Worse yet, our server disappeared for long stretches, and the service was incredibly slow. With a timed 90-minute experience, that really impacted the night & it felt like we spent most of it waiting. Food was a mixed bag. The meatballs were excellent, but the fries just tasted only like oil. 100% not worth it. To top it all off, when the bill came, a 20% gratuity had already been added. I always tip, and usually well, but I don't appreciate being forced into it, especially with lackluster service. Or selecting the gratuity usually reserved for good service. All in all, this felt like a waste of time and money. It had potential, but the execution fell flat. I won't be returning.

East Potomac has a course for everyone no matter their skill level or time commitment. They offer a 9-hole Par 3 (Red course), 9-hole (White course), and a 18-hole (Blue course) course that are all enjoyable to play and are manageable for even beginners to play. The pace of play is usually good, but on a nice day you might run into a bit of a delay (worst I've seen is about 10-15min behind). The greens and tee boxes aren't always in the best condition, but they're maintained fairly well on all three courses that it won't throw off your game. For the cost of play, it's hard to beat the value you get from playing at East Potomac. ALSO, I always forgot that they have a newly renovated mini golf course if you're looking for something a little more lighthearted to play.

The arcade games are pretty expensive and they blew through the $15 in less than 15 mins. The mini golf course was short and compacted on the main floor so the courses were not as fancy or intricate as some larger outdoor mini golf courses. The boys finished all 18 holes in less than 30 mins all by themselves. The laser tag was fun too. The vests were pretty big and heavy and it looked so big our littlest guy but he held his own. It seemed crowded when the summer camp group of kids were there, but when they all left, it wasn't crowded at all. Coming from LA, where anything fun is crowded, it was nice to not have to wait in long lines. We wanted to try the laser maze, but it wasn't working. The workers were all teenagers, and the manager guy looked maybe early 20's but they were all helpful. It was fun to spend a couple hours in the hot afternoon being indoors.

But they loved it, especially the gigantic green monster that would occasionally pop up and tower over the course. There are many different packages you can purchase. I ended up going with the combo golf and arcade package. It was a fairly good deal and I knew there was no way I would be getting out of this place without my kids playing a few rounds of Air Hockey and Skee-ball. I also enjoy a good arcade game myself. Some of the games, not all of them, dispense digital tickets. We managed to collect enough to get some fun toys including a spider that would crawl down a wall and an ice cream cone where you can launch the ice cream right off. My son thought this was the best invention ever! Overall, our time here was spectacular. We can't wait to visit again!

We did a round of mini golf, which was nice. The course is mostly well maintained, though one of the holes near the end could use some work since it is a giant pit, with some cobblestone rocks acting as steps that lead down to the hole. It was a little difficult to maneuver, and I just ended up having to get one of my younger brothers to get my ball for me. Most of the holes were well down and the place had a nice grass and water feature aesthetic. Definitely something we wanted in the city. We then admired the obstacle course because it looked awesome. Climbing across surfboards dangling in the sky, bright colors. It looked awesome. We opted not to try it out this time though. We then went for a little walk on a trail. They aren't very well marked, the signs look like someone keeps knocking them down, and all of the trails sort of overlap and are visible from the others since it is literally just a little acre-ish area in the middle of the city. There was also an overflowing trash can that smelled awful, next to someone's abandoned lawn chair on the trail, but nothing a quick cleanup of the area can't fix. It is rather warm being down in a sort of gully, so I would love to see it again when all the trees are green, hopefully that would provide some nice shade. We then went to the playground and it was really nice and well-maintained, and I had to use the restroom which was IMMACULATE. This was by far the nicest playground bathroom I have ever been in, and nicer than most store and restaurant restrooms I have been in. There is also a waterpark that wasn't open yet for the season, and a large blue building that serves as the entrance to the water park, and I do wish that it had a large sign that said something to the effect of "Restrooms are in here, even when the waterpark isn't open" since we were trying to find a restroom for my 5 year old nephew after we had left the playground bathroom, and assumed that the swim building was closed, so we ran him across the parking lot to the obstacle course building assuming it would be in there, and were a little worried when we had to run him across the street when we learned it was in the blue swim building. Overall, this was a really lovely and completely unexpected outing in the middle of a crowded city. This will very likely be on our itinerary next time we have to kill time in DC.

I visited with my dad and brother to celebrate Father's Day, and we had a great time eating, drinking, and competing for bragging rights. For drinks, we ordered a Blue Moon, the Topgolf Tea, and the Breakaway Breeze (their World Cup special). All were solid choices for a summer afternoon. For food, we shared buffalo wings, a house salad, chicken nachos, chicken fingers, and fries. Everything was delicious, but I have to give a special shoutout to the nachos. They must have updated the recipe because gone are the days of receiving a plate with a handful of oversized chips. This version felt like actual nachos with plenty of toppings and was easily my favorite item of the meal. The service was good as well. Our server was a bit older and moved a little slower when entering orders into the handheld device, but he was friendly, attentive, and got every order right. At the end of the day, that's what matters. Now for the only downside: the pricing. Topgolf has never been cheap, and this visit felt especially expensive. We booked ahead and had to put down a deposit that went toward a total cost of about $150. I'm guessing there was a little Father's Day markup involved. That said, my dad loves Topgolf, so we'll probably keep coming back every year. The experience is always fun, and this time we even scored a bay on the main level right in the center, which made the day feel even more special. If you're looking for a fun group activity with good food, drinks, and a little friendly competition, Topgolf National Harbor still delivers.

The biggest issue wasn't that our request to extend our bay was denied--it was how the situation was handled. A staff member repeatedly raised his voice to me when I asked for assistance, which was both unprofessional and inappropriate, especially during a corporate event. We were told that our bay could not be extended because a 10:00 PM reservation was scheduled. However, we remained on-site until after 10:15 PM and observed that the bay remained empty. We also have video showing multiple available bays after our reservation ended, which made the explanation difficult to understand. What was most disappointing was the response from management. Rather than addressing the concerns or attempting to resolve the situation, our feedback was dismissed. We've hosted Topgolf events in other cities and have generally had positive experiences, which makes this location stand out for the wrong reasons. Mistakes happen, but professionalism, honesty, and customer service should not be optional. Unfortunately, based on this experience, I would hesitate to host another event at the National Harbor location.
