"You *race* people always be doin' this [Insert remark about how this race negatively impacts others]." "You *race* people are why [Insert some remark about how everyone of this race negatively impacts others]. These types of statements have been used throughout the school, by staff/ teachers. A mixed race girl was sent away by staff involved in a race specific program, because she was "too white" (for being half white). I've also witnessed a male P.E. teacher accept flirtatious behavior from female students who did not have to engage in the P.E. activity, while keeping their good grades, as well as have him discuss his personal relationships with students. This was all before the remodel, so I don't know if it's the same staff.

He would hate that I wouldn't speak any english in class and would shame me in front of the class. I never thought it would effect me in the future but till this day it effects me and i will never ever forget that. I never spoke up about it because i never thought necessary but i never want any other child to go through this.

Some of the teachers there are very good teachers, like Ms foster, Ms osakwe, Mr anello, mr sheffield, and Ms mickey. There were a lot of good and bad moments at this school, but if you stay out of all the drama and fights, then this school isn't that bad I do think that they need to clean up the campus more as I see spit out gum on the concrete. But the libary looks really nice, they just remodeled it recently and it's completely different from the plain old library they used to have. So despite all the people saying its ghetto, it just depends on how you look at the school, some people have really bad experiences, but some people really enjoy this school alot like I did. AUSD needs to mandate new implementations & maybe even start continuation middle schools to teach these future juveniles a lesson.
