Our school is faith filled and boasts wonderful teachers and staff who are truly here for the children. My oldest child is now heading off to UC Davis and my youngest has just a couple of years left at Holy Rosary before starting high school. I believe Holy Rosary provides a strong foundation for high school and beyond. The environment at Holy Rosary is one of mutual respect and consideration. The children realize that they are held to a high standard of respect for one another and are asked to treat each other with kindness which is a wonderful thing to see in action!! In a world that seems to lack responsiblity, respect and strong character, Holy Rosary is a breath of fresh air and I would not have my children anywhere else. In addition to providing a true learning environment, the staff and faculty keep the curriculum fresh and are always looking at new ideas and ways to make things even better. Such dedication is a hard thing to come by. My children have been enveloped in academics, spirtuality and compassion at Holy Rosary and all while learning the great value of leadership and volunteerism. Thank you to all of the staff and faculty for your spirit, love and unwavering dedication to our children!!

I want to take a moment to share how truly grateful I am for this school and for the way my son has…read morebeen treated here. This is my son Reggie's Third year attending this school, and I can honestly say that it has been, by far, the best school experience I have ever had with any of my children. I have other children who attended different elementary schools, as well as middle school, within the same district, and unfortunately, my experiences were very different. We dealt with many issues, including bullying, problems with communication, and even situations where my were being bullied by adults at school. Those experiences were extremely difficult for me as a parent. There were times when my children were being bullied, and I would not hear anything from the school. Instead, my children would come home and tell me what had happened. I would then have to go to the office myself to report the situation or ask why I had not been contacted about what was happening to my child. As a mother, that was heartbreaking. I constantly felt worried, frustrated, and disappointed because I felt like I had to fight to make sure my children were being heard and protected. Unfortunately, because of those experiences, my other children are now homeschooled. That is why this school means so much to me. My experience here has been completely different. I honestly believe that this is the best school in the entire Brentwood district. I cannot say enough good things about the principal, the front office staff, and my son's teachers. I truly appreciate how much attention the principal gives me whenever I have a question, concern, or situation involving my son. I never feel like I am being ignored or like my concerns are unimportant. The front office has also been incredibly helpful, kind, and welcoming. And I especially want to recognize Ms. Nolan. Recently, something happened involving my son while I was still at work. Ms. Nolan took the time to call me personally and let me know what had happened. That may seem like something small to some people, but to me, it meant so much. After everything I have experienced with my other children, receiving that phone call gave me an incredible sense of relief. I was able to continue my day knowing that my son was being looked after and that his teacher cared enough to make sure I was informed. I cannot even explain how much that meant to me. It made me feel like my son was truly in good hands. With my other children, I would often find out about incidents only after they came home. I would hear about bullying or problems directly from my children, and then I would have to contact the school or go into the office myself to make sure someone knew what was happening. I remember how helpless and upset that made me feel. So when I received that phone call from Ms. Nolan, I honestly felt emotional. It gave me a feeling that I had not experienced with my other children: peace. For the first time, I feel like I can send my child to school and trust that the people there are paying attention to him, caring about him, and communicating with me when something happens. As a parent, that means everything. I honestly want to cry happy tears when I think about how different this experience has been. In the past, I cried because I was disappointed, hurt, and worried about how my children were being treated at school. This time, I feel like crying because I am genuinely happy and grateful. I am so thankful that my son has teachers who care about him and a school that communicates with me. I am thankful for a principal who listens to my concerns and takes them seriously. I am thankful for the front office staff and everyone who contributes to making this school a place where my child can be safe.

Absolutely loved our experience at Hilltop Christian Preschool! Highlights: This preschool is safe,…read morefun, inclusive, and filled with tons of faith based learning. My son attended Hilltop Christian Preschool for two years, giving him the opportunity to participate in both their Pre K and TK programs. Before Hilltop, he had never attended a formal school setting, so watching his growth over those two years was truly incredible. The teachers are absolutely phenomenal (Mrs Gilary, Mrs Tina, Mrs. Dorothy and Mrs. Alejandra), and there are so many reasons why. They genuinely have a love for teaching and for the children they serve. They encourage independence, nurture each child's individual personality, and create creative, engaging programs that allow children to learn naturally and organically. They also provide so many special experiences throughout the year, including multiple performances that give the children opportunities to build confidence and shine. When my son first started, he had HUGE feelings and very few words in his toolbox to express them. I watched the teachers meet him with patience, compassion, encouragement, and consistency. Little by little, they helped him find his voice, become more independent, and develop the confidence to navigate new experiences. By the time he started kindergarten, he was confident, reading, expressing himself beautifully, and leading conversations. That transformation speaks volumes about the love, dedication, and intentional teaching he received at Hilltop. I will forever be grateful to the teachers and staff at Hilltop Christian Preschool for helping lay such a strong foundation for my son. They didn't just prepare him academically for kindergarten, they helped him grow socially, emotionally, and personally. Hilltop will always hold a very special place in our hearts, and I wholeheartedly recommend this school to any family looking for a nurturing, engaging, and truly special preschool experience.

Our experience with the school began positively (we have spent 5 years with this school in total)…read more We did have concerns about bullying, but the principal at the time made a genuine effort to address them. After a change in leadership, our experience began to shift. We initially hoped the changes would be positive, but over time, we became increasingly concerned. Our family believes in God, though we do not identify as Christian. At times, we felt we were viewed differently and excluded from the school community. Our children were not perfect, and we have always tried to guide them and help them learn from their mistakes. However, we felt staff continued to judge them based on past behaviour, even as they were making progress with our support. We were also concerned about the school's demerit system and the possibility of expulsion after a certain number of demerits. We understood that teachers could assign demerits without the principal's knowledge, and in our experience, some seemed to be given for relatively minor reasons--for example, after a teacher overheard a conversation between our children and their friends and disapproved of it. Overall, we felt our concerns were not taken seriously and that our children were not given a fair opportunity to move forward. After we announced our decision to leave, the staff's attitude toward our family seemed noticeably colder. On our children's final day, a staff member asked them, "Why are you even here?" We found the comment hurtful and inappropriate, particularly on a day that was already difficult for our children. Based on our experience, I would strongly encourage prospective families to carefully reconsider whether this school is the right choice for them.
