As a parent you will have to initiate communication with staff, otherwise if your child is having issues you may or may not be contacted, but once school officials know that you are receptive, they will reach out with concerns. The band/music program has been re-introduced, very positive move, although participation rate seems quite low. Negative aspects outweigh, the positives, by a landslide. It seems that the PARENTS, of many AMS students, have forgotten to teach their children basic manners, morals, respect, and school etiquette. The dress code is not enforced AT ALL, uniforms where?? I frequent the campus and see 6th - 8th grade girls dressed in booty shorts, jeans shredded up, with holes, damn-near exposing their panties, halter and half tops with leggings galore, and skin tight dresses. 6th - 8th grade boys walking around, looking like they just rolled out of bed, in pj's and slides (how do you do PE in those?). 8 out of 10 kids are staring at cell phones, in and out of the classroom, at any given time. I've even observed kids eating bags of chips, sitting under tables, using profanity, and wandering around aimlessly during an active English class session. Signs indicate a high level of truancy and tardiness and not much being done to prevent it. Many physical fights have occurred on campus this school year, between students, and also student and teacher altercations. Bullying is prevalent as well. Overall I feel that this school needs a lot of work to bring it up to a decent standard. Parents definitely need to step-up, and play their parts (which may be a shot in the dark) and try to work with the staff, instead of against, in resurrecting old school educational values. The kids are suffering....and that is sad. Good Luck AMS!

This was a great school with awesome teachers and I hope its still the same way today. What i remember most about the school is the size. Its pretty huge. This school was opened during the time that Antioch was on their School building binge. they built Jack London elementary Black diamond Middle and Deer Valley all within 5 years of each other. Gotta love it since I wet to all of them;-) Send ur kids to this school. Its not over crowded yet and they get a lot of fresh air. the entire school is outside. Antioch's New School Building Binge theme. Although the school is a salmon pink and teal color...but i digress. Hell I even survived in the time of year round schooling... it was brutal but it made for a very interesting Christmas break. kids will learn here.

Our school is faith filled and boasts wonderful teachers and staff who are truly here for the children. My oldest child is now heading off to UC Davis and my youngest has just a couple of years left at Holy Rosary before starting high school. I believe Holy Rosary provides a strong foundation for high school and beyond. The environment at Holy Rosary is one of mutual respect and consideration. The children realize that they are held to a high standard of respect for one another and are asked to treat each other with kindness which is a wonderful thing to see in action!! In a world that seems to lack responsiblity, respect and strong character, Holy Rosary is a breath of fresh air and I would not have my children anywhere else. In addition to providing a true learning environment, the staff and faculty keep the curriculum fresh and are always looking at new ideas and ways to make things even better. Such dedication is a hard thing to come by. My children have been enveloped in academics, spirtuality and compassion at Holy Rosary and all while learning the great value of leadership and volunteerism.
